Description

The present invention relates to a carrier body according to the preamble of claim 1. In addition, the invention relates to a method for adapting such a carrier body to the desired floor dimensions of a sanitary showering place, as well as the use of the carrier body.

A carrier body according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from EP 1 388 317 A1 known.

Furthermore, the shows DE 20 2005 003 399 U1 a shower floor element with a carrier body made of rigid foam with a glued-on, waterproof film.

In the field of showers, be it in the form of shower cubicles or not provided with side shielding side walls, pure shower areas, it has always been a problem, a support body for sanitary surface material, such as a shower tray, tiles, etc., as well as a tileable area, easy and quick to install on site, while sealing against the immediate environment. In addition to the generic EP 1 388 317 A2 also discloses, for example, the DE 20 2006 012 825 U1 a hard foam carrier body used in this technique; on this a plate body is arranged. The support body usually consists of a water-impermeable material with preferably increased density, such as, for example EPP or EPL, extruded foam such as EPS, XPS or a rigid polyurethane foam, as is well known in the art. On the upper bearing surface of the support body sanitary surface material, such as a continuous acrylic surface is already applied in advance. However, this upper bearing surface of the carrier body can also be tiled, preferably after the laying of the carrier body at the intended showering place. Furthermore, in known carrier bodies with or without sanitary surface material located thereon, the support surface tends towards a often central opening which is provided for the floor drain.

During assembly, the carrier body is usually placed with its bottom surface directly on a base, such as a screed or prepared substructure. After such local fixing of the support body for the shower, it must be sealed with the sanitary surface material thereon to adjacent surfaces, such as further tile floor, walls, especially tiled walls, etc., out. The generic EP 1 388 317 A2 proposes for this purpose to provide the edge region of the carrier body with a sealing strip arranged between the bearing surface of the carrier body and the so-called cup body, which overlaps the edge region of the carrier body in the unassembled state. Is such a carrier body adjacent thereto with shower tray adjacent let into a screed, the sealing strips of the support body overlap the adjacent screed; Hereby, the butt joint between the carrier body and the screed can then be covered moisture-proof. A similar solution provides the DE 20 2006 012 825 U1 , Here is described in particular detail how the sealing tape can be attached to the au-βenliegenden end face of the support body.

The carrier bodies previously described in the prior art are supplied for the sanitary installation with predetermined dimensions. Insofar as the shower point coincides with these predetermined dimensions of the carrier body, there is no problem with the sealing of the carrier body with respect to the surrounding surfaces. However, inasmuch as the dimensions at the shower point do not match the predetermined dimensions of the carrier body, problems arise in the assembly of the carrier body for sanitary surface material such as tiles and shower trays. The aim of the invention is to overcome such problems.

This object is achieved for a known carrier body by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. The sealing element is fixedly mounted on the support surface, bottom surface or the end face of the opening only partially. Must now the carrier body with predetermined dimensions adapted individually to the dimensions of the shower be, so its dimensions must be shortened for example by cutting. By only a part of the sealing element is fixedly mounted on a respective surface of the support body (first portion), that part of the sealing element, which, although superimposed on this Teilbereichsfläche but loosely rests on it, can be folded away. Then, the carrier body in the area (second portion) without thereon sealing element can be cut to individually desired dimensions. After trimming and fitting of the support member to the dimensions of the showering place, the loose portion of the sealing member is then firmly joined to the remaining portion of the second portion of the surface of the support body and overlies the cut edges of the support body to sealingly connect to the surfaces surrounding the support body manufacture. Such an inventive method for the use of the carrier body is given in claim 11. Particularly advantageously, the carrier body according to the invention can be used according to claim 16 for the formation of the bottom of a sanitary cabin to be arranged thereon, in particular a shower cubicle.

Particularly preferably, the surface of the sealing element, which is preferably a sealing film (claim 7), larger than the surface of the carrier body, which overlies it (claim 10). This ensures that the carrier body can also be used for cases as described in the prior art can; In these cases, it is not necessary to adapt the carrier body of its dimensions to the dimensions of the shower area. If such a case exists, the portion of the sealing element, which loosely superimposed on the support element, simply fixed on site on the respective surface of the support body (second portion) can be attached. The sealing film is preferably designed such that one side is particularly well connected to the carrier body, on the other side well an adhesive, in particular tile adhesive, is receivable.

It is also not necessary that the sealing element is formed over the entire surface, that is, that it covers the entire underlying surface of the carrier body over the entire surface; over the entire surface, however, the sealing element should be formed where it loosely overlays the corresponding subarea of the surface of the carrier body, in order to completely overlap the cut edges in the form of edge regions when the carrier body is adapted to the dimensions of the showering station; As a result, a continuous seal can be made to adjacent surfaces.

Particularly preferably, the sealing element is arranged according to the invention on the support surface of the carrier body (claim 2). On the then exposed surface of the sealing element then tiles, stone slabs, etc. are preferably attached to the completion of the shower. Is on the support surface the support body attached a sanitary surface material such as an acrylic layer, a shower tray, etc., so is the bottom surface of the support body for attachment of the sealing element (claim 3). Also in this case, the support body can be individually adapted to the dimensions of the shower stall and then provide the sealing element for sealing to adjacent surfaces.

In order to be able to adapt the opening in the carrier body for the process individually, for example in order to be flexible in terms of the drain body to be used, the sealing element according to the invention is preferably attached to the end face of the opening (claim 6).

As already mentioned, the carrier body according to the invention can be adapted individually to dimensions of respective shower places. In order to facilitate the assembly and adaptation further, the support surface and / or the bottom surface of the carrier body on predefined indentations (claim 9); As a result, the carrier body can be easily cut at these locations in the vertical direction. The on-site assembly is so much easier.

In the preferred method of the invention, it is essential that the sealing element fixedly mounted on a respective surface of the carrier body in a first portion is. In the remaining, second subregion of the surface of the carrier body, the sealing element superimposes this second subregion of the surface loosely. This second portion of the surface of the support body can now be adapted individually to the dimensions of the shower. Such adaptation is effected by severing the carrier body, preferably in the vertical direction, in the second partial region, which is loosely superimposed by the sealing element. Before cutting through the loosely overlying sealing element is folded away from the underlying second portion. The fact that the sealing element, however, is fixedly mounted in the first portion of the surface of the support body, it can be placed immediately after cutting the carrier body at the aforementioned and desired location back to the remaining after cutting section of the second portion. Particularly preferably, the sealing element is then also adapted so that it protrudes in the form of edge regions over the edges of the carrier body resulting from the severing; in other words, it can be shortened. Before or after shortening, the sealing element can also be fixedly attached to this second portion of the surface of the carrier body.

The following is the explanation of the invention and its further advantages with reference to the drawings according to the structure and possibly also after the operation of the illustrated invention.

In the perspective view of Fig. 1 , the carrier body 1 according to the invention can be seen obliquely from above. The support body 1 in this case has an upper support surface 2 for sanitary surface material 3, such as an acrylic layer 4 or tiles 5. In the perspective view of Fig. 1 the support surface 2 is shown divided into an inner first portion 6 and an outer second portion 7. The first portion 6 of the support surface 2 is that portion of the support surface 2 of the support body 1, on which a sealing film 8 is firmly attached. This sealing film 8 is - drawn from the first portion 6-dashed lines. The dashed representation of the sealing film 8 are their loose superposition on the second portion 7 of the support surface 2 again. In addition, from the representation of the Fig. 1 recognizable that the sealing film 8 overlaps the respective edges 9 of the carrier body 1 in the dashed representation.

In the perspective view of Fig. 1 the support surface 2 is shown so that it inclines downward from all sides in the direction of the center of the carrier body 1. In the center of the carrier body 1, an opening 10 can be seen, which is provided for the bottom outlet.

According to the invention, the carrier body 1 can now be adapted to the required section in the section designated as the second partial region 7 Modified adapted dimensions of the desired shower, in particular cut. This preferably made on-site by craftsmen adaptation to the dimensions of the shower is made with a known tool, such as a saw. As a result, a simple and quick adaptation of the carrier body 1 to the individual external conditions is possible at any time.

In Fig. 2 is the section along the line II of the support body 1 of Fig. 1 to recognize in a somewhat enlarged scale. In particular, in Fig. 2 the first portion 6 with a fixed part 11 of the sealing film 8, and the second portion 7 with an overlying loose part 12 of the sealing film 8, recognizable. As already mentioned, the loose part 12 of the sealing film 8 is first folded away when cutting or cutting through the carrier body 1. Then the carrier body 1 is severed at the second portion 7. After severing the loose part 12 of the sealing film 8 is mounted on the still remaining portion of the second portion 7, for example by gluing. In this case, however, the loose part 12 of the sealing film 8 can be shortened slightly before or after the fixed attachment, such that an edge 13 of the carrier body 1 produced by cutting is still overlapped by the loose part 12 of the sealing film 8.

Subsequently, an assembly of the carrier body 1 on adjoining, adjacent surfaces, as exemplified in the Fig. 3a-3c is shown. In the embodiment of Fig. 3a the support body 1 is arranged on a base 14 and abuts with its cut edge 13 on a wall 15 at. The remaining after the cutting of the carrier body sealing foil edge portion 16 is in Fig. 3a pulled along the adjacent wall 15 upwards and thus seals the gap between the wall 15 and support body 1 from. On wall 15 and sealing foil edge portion 16 then tiles 17 are applied. When in Fig. 3b illustrated embodiment, the laying of the support body 1 with underneath Unterbau 14 adjacent to a screed 18. In this case, the sealing film edge portion 16 is placed over the joint between the support body 1 and screed 18 and attached to the top of the screed 18, for example by gluing. Also, tiles 17 are laid on the screed 18 and the sealing film edge portion 16 at superposition, which are preferably continuous to the tiles 5 of the support body 1. Finally, in the embodiment of the Fig. 3c illustrated how the construction of substructure 14 and support body 1 is arranged with sealing film 8 located thereon and tiles 5 on a screed 18; the further tiling of the carrier body 1 takes place on its end face, the end face of the substructure 14 and then the surface of the screed 18. From the Fig. 3c it can be seen that then the sealing foil edge portion 16 over the corner between substructure 14 and screed 18 is pulled to ensure a sufficient seal here.

Another inventive embodiment of a carrier body 1 'is in the section of Fig. 4 shown. This inventive carrier body 1 'corresponds essentially to the structure of the carrier body 1 of Fig. 1 , Accordingly, the illustration of the Fig. 4 to a similar section through a support body 1 'as in the section of Fig. 2 However, wherein the carrier body 1 'of Fig. 4 differs in that it is on its bearing surface 2 with sanitary surface material in the form of an acrylic layer 19, pre-coated. This acrylic layer 19 runs in the representation of Fig. 4 of the carrier body 1 'at least partially over its end faces. Recognizable in the representation of Fig. 4 is that the sealing film 8 is attached here to the bottom surface 20 of the support body 1 '. According to the invention and in the Fig. 1 and 2 illustrated embodiment, the bottom surface 20 is also in a first portion 6 with fixed part 11 of the sealing film 8 and a second portion 7 with loose part 12 of the sealing film 8, divided. The severing of the carrier body 1 'according to the embodiment 4 is carried out in the same manner as in relation to the embodiment of Fig. 2 has been described. Again, it is essential again that when cutting the carrier body 1 in the second portion 7 of the loose part 12 of the sealing film 8 not mitdurchtrennt is. By means of the carrier body 1 'according to the invention, it is possible to cater for shower places, in particular taking into account special dimensions, and to provide easy mounting and sealing at these shower places. In the Fig. 5a-5g again purely exemplary possibilities of connections of the support body 1 'with adjacent surfaces such as walls 15, screeds 18, etc. are shown. It should be noted that only in Fig. 5b a cut carrier body 1 'is shown, which is arranged on a substructure 14 and then sealed relative to a wall 15 by means of the sealing edge portion 16. Again, according to the embodiment according to Fig. 3a the joint area between sealing film edge portion 16 and wall 15 is provided with tiles 17.

The in the Fig. 5a and 5c-5g illustrated embodiments each show a support body 1 ', which was not cut, so that its acrylic layer 19 is left fully. In Fig. 5a the arrangement of the carrier body 1 'is carried out according to the arrangement of the cut carrier body 1' of Fig. 5b , In Fig. 5c is the support body 1 'on a substructure 14 and this combination in turn on a screed 18 according to the example, as it is Fig. 3c has been described. In Fig. 5d is the support body 1 'or under this the sealing film 8 directly on the screed 18. It is in this Fig. 5d illustrated how the sealing film edge portion 16 further beyond the screed 18 also extends, and the screed 18 with respect to the support body 1 'seals, so that tiles 17 on the sealing film edge portion 16 and screed 18 can be arranged. In the embodiment of Fig. 5e is the substructure 14 with it located on the carrier body 1 'slightly higher than the adjoining screed 18 is provided so that, for example, tiles 17 can be pushed underneath. Again, there is a recognizable sealing of the respective joints on the sealing film edge portion 16 instead. In contrast, in Fig. 5f illustrated the situation in which the substructure 14 is lower than the screed 18 and accordingly after Befliesen the screed 18 a freely designable height difference between the acrylic layer 19 and the applied tiles 17 is formed. Finally, it is still in Fig. 5g an embodiment shown in which the combination of support body 1 'and base 14 is disposed on the screed 18 with thereon tiles 17, that one can speak of a floor-level statement. In Fig. 5f and 5g the sealing film edge portion 16 is turned upwards over the screed 18.
