Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de gestion d'un flux de trafic comportant des véhicules de transport de marchandises dangereuses (G, G'), qui passe par une zone d'un réseau routier critique du point de vue de la sécurité, notamment à travers un tunnel routier (T). Ledit procédé consiste à déterminer si un véhicule (G) s'approchant de la zone critique est un véhicule de transport de marchandises dangereuses (G), puis à envoyer un signal de circulation à un véhicule (G) se rapprochant de la zone critique. Une image numérique d'un véhicule (G) s'approchant de la zone critique est prise et l'image enregistrée est numériquement analysée en vue de l'identification d'une caractéristique indiquant un véhicule de transport de marchandises dangereuses (G). De ce fait, il est possible d'identifier et de gérer les véhicules de transport de marchandises dangereuses (G) de manière simple, sûre et largement indépendante d'un équipement installé dans le véhicule.
