Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour sélectionner et séparer le sable de décochage fortement sollicité thermiquement, à proportion élevée de sable de noyautage, d'un sable de décochage peu sollicité thermiquement dans la totalité du sable de décochage résultant du démoulage de pièces coulées. Un tambour cribleur (2) pouvant être entraîné en rotation autour d'un axe horizontal et présentant une extrémité d'entrée (4) sert à l'alimentation en sable de décochage (9). Le tambour cribleur présente en outre une extrémité de sortie (5) pour l'évacuation de mottes de sable qui n'ont pas été entièrement désagrégées lors du passage dans le tambour cribleur. Sous le tambour rotatif se trouve un carter collecteur (11) en forme de trémie dont la largeur et la longueur correspondent respectivement à au moins la largeur et la longueur du tambour cribleur (2). Dans le carter (11) est placé au moins un élément paroi séparatrice (13) orienté transversalement et perpendiculairement à l'axe de rotation (3) du tambour cribleur (2). Cet élément subdivise l'espace intérieur du carter collecteur (11), par rapport à la longueur du tambour cribleur (9), en au moins deux sections (20, 21) dont la largeur et la position relative sont respectivement ajustées à un segment de longueur défini (A, B) du tambour cribleur. Dans la zone inférieure de chacune des sections se trouve un dispositif (indépendant) (16, 17) servant à évacuer la quantité de sable de décochage éliminée par criblage qui est collectée dans la section correspondante.
