Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for hair extension and / or hair thickening.
  • the change of shape or color of the head hair to change the appearance is well known and widely used. Short-term styling through hair gels or hair sprays and longer-lasting styling such as perms as well as the coloring or bleaching are secured state of technical knowledge and can be carried out to a large extent in home use.
  • the foreign hair is thereby strands firmly connected with the own hair. This can be done by heat, ultrasound or mechanically. Another possibility is the incorporation of tresses, is worked in rows. The attachment takes place especially at the back of the head, so that sufficient own hair falls from the top of the head over the joints.
  • thermoadhesive, wax, keratin or a silicone base When modulating with heat, thermoadhesive, wax, keratin or a silicone base is used at approx. 90 - 130 ° C.
  • the keratin platelets On ultrasound, the keratin platelets (so-called bonding) are briefly heated at the molecular level; mechanical methods using plastic or metal sleeves work without heat.
  • a hair extension lasts up to 6 months, the costs vary greatly depending on the quality of the hair used and the method of incorporation used.
  • hair extension methods are from the documents JP 03152205 (Aderans Co. Ltd.) and in the ZA 93/5214 A or in the DE 196 26 107 C1 described. Methods in which an adhesive is applied to the resulting compound, for example, in US 4,934,387 (Megna). A method of attaching a self-adhesive strand of hair is in the US-A-6,135,122 disclosed.
  • the DE 202 03 301 U1 finally discloses a device and a method in which several strands of hair are present with splices on a common carrier film and can be applied simultaneously.
  • the US 6,446,636 discloses hair extension methods in which at least one strand of hair provided with a fastener is used. Hair extensions are also in the US2006 / 196296 A1 (Gill ) disclosed.
  • the US 6,446,636 B1 discloses a method of attaching additional strands of hair to natural hair wherein an adhesive composition of non-thermoplastic resin (eg polyvinyl alcohol), dye and perfume is placed in the hair to adhere a strand of hair.
  • non-thermoplastic resin eg polyvinyl alcohol
  • the US2006 / 169296 A1 describes a hair extension procedure using double-sided adhesive tape.
  • an at least hair strand is provided, which is provided with a fastening element.
  • a strand of hair consists of a hairpiece to which a fastener is attached.
  • the hairpiece consists of a plurality of natural and / or artificial fibers ("strand of hair").
  • Natural (“real") hair often comes from India or China, as hairstyles are often traditionally long. In India, the braids are partially cut off for religious reasons. Today, most human hair comes from India. Animal hairs can also be used according to the invention; buffalo belly hair, for example, has proved to be useful in this case.
  • the hair is washed, sorted by length, curled and dyed. Partially, the outer cuticle layer is removed to prevent felts.
  • Hair strands which can be used according to the invention can also be produced from synthetic hair.
  • a widely used material is synthetic fibers of poly (acrylonitrile-co-vinyl chloride) from Kanekalon. Strands in which both natural hair and synthetic fibers are present next to each other, are suitable according to the invention.
  • a fastener On the hairpiece is a fastener, which is preferably attached to one end of the hair strand. An attachment of the fastener in other places, for example in the middle of a strand of hair is also possible - but this is indeed produced by the length of the strand of hair an unnatural strands course.
  • the fastener is therefore at one end (hereinafter referred to as "upper end") of the Haarstsrähne before.
  • the fastener is preferably small and thin dimensioned so that the subsequent attachment point on the head is not noticeable.
  • Preferred fasteners have spatial dimensions in the millimeter range, for example, heights of 1 to 4 mm and lengths or widths of 5 to 80 mm, preferably from 10 to 70 mm, more preferably from 20 to 60 mm and in particular 30 to 50 mm.
  • the fastener In order to be usable in the method according to the invention, the fastener must be able to be swollen by solvents. This is ensured by the fact that the fastener - based on the weight of the fastener - contains at least 10 wt .-% synthetic (s) polymers (e).
  • the fastener - based on the weight of the fastener - at least 25 wt .-%, more preferably at least 50 wt .-%, still more preferably at least 75% by weight and in particular at least 90% by weight of synthetic polymer (s).
  • synthetic polymers refers to plastics which can be prepared by all polyreaction polyadditions, polycondensations and polymerizations and polymer-analogous reactions customary for the synthesis of polymers.
  • the fastening element according to the invention comprises at least one polyurehane (PU) polymer.
  • PU polyurehane
  • Polyurethane is the collective name for polymers in whose macromolecules the repeating units are linked by urethane groups -NH-CO-O-. Polyurethanes are generally obtained by polyaddition from dihydric or higher alcohols and isocyanates according to
  • R 1 and R 2 may stand for low molecular weight or even already polymeric aliphatic or aromatic groups.
  • fastener - based on the weight of the fastener - at least 10 wt .-%, preferably at least 25 wt .-%, more preferably at least 50 wt .-%, even more preferably at least 75 wt. -% and in particular at least 90 wt .-% polyurethane polymers).
  • the attachment of the previously provided strand of hair to the own hair is carried out in the process according to the invention by treating the fastener with a solvent.
  • the fastener swells and becomes so adhesive that it can be attached to a strand of hair of the own hair.
  • the solvent then evaporates and the attachment site loses its tackiness.
  • the evaporation of the solvent according to the invention can be assisted by heat (for example by a drying hood or the use of a hot air hair dryer), but this is not necessary according to the invention.
  • solvents which swell the fastening element quickly and reliably and rapidly evaporate after application of the strand.
  • Physiologically largely harmlessness is another criterion in the selection of suitable solvents.
  • Particularly preferred processes according to the invention are characterized in that the solvent is selected from acetone (DMK), isopropanol, hexane, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and ethyl acetate.
  • individual strands of hair are each provided with a fastening element and each strand of hair secured to the own hair by swelling the fastener by applying at least one solvent to the fastener and attaching to (each) a strand of hair of the own hair and allowing the solvent to evaporate.
  • the method according to the invention can apply a plurality of strands at the same time. This can be conveniently achieved by applying a plurality of strands with their fasteners to a substrate (e.g., a filmstrip) and then applying solvent to a plurality of fasteners located on the substrate. In this way, hair strands are attached to the own hair at different points in an application step.
  • a substrate e.g., a filmstrip
  • Such a device of hair strands which can be used according to the invention consists of a number of strands of hair, which are preferably arranged in alignment and substantially parallel, and which consist of a number of substantially predetermined hairs, which may be natural or artificial and suitably have selected colors monochrome or with highlights.
  • the strands of hair are preferably arranged at substantially equal intervals. They extend from their respective ends to the fasteners which are adapted to be connected to the hair of the head to their free ends.
  • Such a device also comprises a carrier tape on which the fastening elements are arranged.
  • the material forming the carrier tape is preferably thin and film-like. It can be removed after the evaporation of the solvent from the own hair, which, however, can cause uncomfortable "Ziepen". Preferred are carrier tapes that are so thin and inconspicuous that they can remain in the hair, without disturbing the wearer or attract attention.
  • the carrier tape consists of absorbent material.
  • the application of the solvent is facilitated and promotes the swelling of the fasteners.
  • the hair strand (s) provided with a fastening element additionally comprises / has a carrier band which consists of absorbent material.
  • the carrier tape may in this process variant have a defined length and wear only a single or a predetermined number of strands of hair, or it may have an undefined length, so that the executing person can cut off sections to obtain the desired number of strands of hair.
  • the operator may remove one or more strands of hair that are incompatible with the current application simply by cutting off a portion of the carrier tape.
  • the strands of hair may be the same length, size and color, but it is also possible to provide variations in length to produce stepped extensions, as well as color variations to create complex strands and different sizes.
  • a preferred variant of the method according to the invention is characterized in that a plurality of hair strands are provided, which are mounted in alignment and substantially parallel with their fastening elements on a carrier tape.
  • the carrier tape consists of absorbent material.
  • the carrier tape consists of absorbent paper, preferably of filter paper.
  • the required solvent is already in the fastener, ie the polymer is already in the swollen state and can be applied spontaneously.
  • this embodiment requires a special outer packaging. A blistering which is diffusion-stable with respect to the solvent is preferably used. The application of the hair strands can be made directly after removal from the outer packaging, such as the Blistering.
  • the attachment of the device according to the invention is preferably carried out close to the scalp.
  • attaching to (each) a strand of hair of the own hair at a distance of 0.5 to 2 cm, preferably from 0.75 to 1.5 cm and in particular from 0.9 to 1.1 cm from the Scalp takes place.
  • the modulating of the devices according to the invention on own hair strands is possible with the method according to the invention in a very short time.
  • the solvent is allowed to cool or evaporate over a period of from 2 to 60 minutes, preferably from 10 to 45 minutes and in particular from 20 to 30 minutes.
  • This period of time can, as already mentioned, be shortened by targeted heat application.
  • Another advantage of the method according to the invention is the reversibility of the hair extension. If the customer no longer wishes the hair extension to be removed, then the device according to the invention does not have to be removed by the hairdresser via the heating or even cut off, as is the case with conventional systems. Rather, it is possible to easily remove the devices from the own hair.
  • Another object of the present invention is therefore a method for the removal of hair extensions, wherein at least one applied by a method according to the invention hair strand (device of the invention) is replaced by the action of heat and / or action of at least one solvent on the fastener of the own hair.
  • kits according to the invention comprise a common outer packaging, at least one strand of hair provided with a fastening element and a packaging containing solvents.
  • This packaging is used to store the solvent and facilitates its dosage and application.
  • Packaging preferred according to the invention is, for example, tubes, dispensers, bottles, cans, crucibles, pots, spray cans, etc. They can be made of a very wide variety of materials, for example plastic, metal, glass, Composites, etc. Packaging is widely described in the art, and depending on the means to be packaged there is a wide variety of commercial packaging in a variety of shapes and sizes.
  • kit-of-parts according to the invention are characterized in that the packaging of the solvent is formed by a dropper bottle.
  • This may be a plastic drip which releases individual drops of the solvent by pressure, but it may also be a bottle of plastic or glass provided with a closure containing a pipette containing a drop of the solvent allows.
  • the outer packaging can be made from a wide variety of materials and can take on a wide variety of shapes. For higher quality products, a tinplate can with removable lid can recommend. Also plastic boxes are possible embodiments. These outer packaging have the advantage of being appropriately decorated and used as a storage container after consumption. For products whose outer packaging is to be disposed of after use, a cardboard box is recommended. Cardboards have the advantage of low cost and easy printability. Colored and formal designs can be varied widely in these outer packaging.
  • kit according to the invention may comprise an instruction for use which gives the consumer instructions for use for the method according to the invention.
  • Instructions for use in the sense of the present application can not only be written versions in any language, but also visual representations such as pictograms.
  • the instructions for use may be permanently attached to or attached to the packaging.
  • the instructions for use may be applied to the outside of the package.
  • the instructions for use can also be applied to the inside of the outer packaging in preferred embodiments of the present invention.
  • Applied is an instruction for the purposes of the present invention to a package when it is firmly adhered to the package.
  • the instructions for use can be printed directly on the outside and / or inside of the packaging.
  • the scope of design for packaging developers is almost limitless.
  • the instructions for use can be designed as a separate sheet, which is placed in the packaging.
  • the separate instructions for use can be made on paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. in the form of sheets, sheets, cards, cards, flyers, fanfolds, etc.
  • the separate instructions for use has the advantage that the consumer can fix them in an exposed position and read repeatedly when carrying out the method. Also, such a separate instruction manual can be taken out of the packaging and read several times in changing places, without always the complete kit must be carried.
  • Kits according to the invention in which the instructions for use are designed as a separate supplement, are a further preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • kit according to the invention mutatis mutandis applies to the method according to the invention.
