Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for hair supplementation with a plurality of hairs which are aligned parallel to one another at their upper end along a main direction and are embedded and anchored in a plastic matrix, with a carrier tape extending transversely to the main direction on which the plastic matrix is attached , and a fastening device which is designed for fastening the carrier tape to natural hair of a wearer of the device for hair supplementation.
  • Such a device can be used, for example, to supplement the natural hair of the wearer with additional hair, to lengthen the natural hair of the wearer and / or to insert color-contrasting hair into the natural hair of the wearer.
  • a device for hair supplementation of the type described above is from the DE 20 2005 010 845 U1 known.
  • a large number of hairs are attached to a carrier tape.
  • the carrier tape is designed as an adhesive tape in order to attach the device to the natural hair of the wearer.
  • the hair is glued to the back of the tape. They are aligned parallel to one another and perpendicular to the main direction of extent of the adhesive tape.
  • the hairs are distributed over the entire width of the adhesive tape and, in the area where they are stuck to the back of the adhesive tape, provided with an anti-hygroscopic seal and covered with a matt-transparent cover. In this way they are embedded in a plastic matrix that is attached to the carrier tape.
  • the known device for hair supplementation is inexpensive to manufacture, since the amount of work required to attach the hair to the carrier tape is low compared to tying the hair to a hairnet, a kit or the like.
  • the known device is nevertheless comparatively inconspicuous when it is attached to the natural hair of the wearer.
  • the number of hairs that can be supplemented with the known device is limited. So that the individual hairs are securely anchored in the plastic matrix, they must be arranged next to one another on the carrier tape at least a small distance apart. This is also a prerequisite for the anti-hygroscopic seal to enclose the ends of the individual hairs in such a way that they do not come off when the device is repeatedly washed and thus exposed to different moisture concentrations in your environment.
  • Real hair as it is also preferably used for the known device for hair supplementation, absorb moisture from its surroundings and change its diameter in the process. This quickly leads to them becoming detached from a bond. The anti-hygroscopic sealing of the ends of the hair in the known device prevents this.
  • hair tress Another known device for supplementing hair is a so-called hair tress.
  • the upper ends of a large number of hairs are bent over by 180 degrees and then sewn together.
  • So-called toupee clips are then sewn onto the hairs that have been sewn together, at least at the lateral ends of the sewn area.
  • the hair tress is attached to the natural hair of the wearer.
  • a known tress of hair can have a comparatively large number of hairs. The sewn area of the hair, however, becomes thicker with its increasing number and is therefore not insignificant.
  • a hair tress Another disadvantage of a hair tress is that the ends of the hair, which are bent by 180 degrees and protrude at least a certain distance from the sewn area, have a running direction opposite to the rest of the hair. If real hair is used, which is provided with scales of a certain orientation, this quickly leads to a matting of the hair of the braid with each other and also with the natural hair of the wearer. In addition, the production of the well-known tress in high quality requires high manual skills and / or great experience.
  • a device for hair supplement with the features of the preamble of independent claim 1 is from EP 2 614 736 A1 known.
  • the first and the second plastic matrix are arranged on top of one another, and the first and the second plurality of hairs emerge from the first and the second plastic matrix at a common underside.
  • the invention is based on the object of providing a device for hair extension with which a large number of hairs can be supplemented and which is nevertheless not very bulky, does not tend to tangle its hair and can be produced with comparatively little effort.
  • the object of the invention is achieved by a device for supplementing hair with the features of independent claim 1.
  • the dependent claims relate to preferred embodiments of the device according to the invention.
  • a device for hair supplementation with a first plurality of hairs which are aligned parallel to one another at their upper ends along a main direction and are embedded and anchored in a first plastic matrix, with a carrier tape extending transversely to the main direction on which the first plastic matrix is attached , and with a fastening device which is designed for fastening the carrier tape to natural hair of a wearer of the device for hair supplementation, a second plastic matrix is fastened to the carrier tape next to the first plastic matrix, in which hairs aligned parallel to one another at their upper ends along the main direction second plurality of hairs are embedded and anchored.
  • the device according to the invention has on the carrier tape, in addition to the row of hairs of the first plurality of hairs, a further row of hairs of a second plurality of hairs, the upper ends of which are embedded in a further plastic matrix.
  • This doubles the total number of hairs that are supplemented with the device compared to a device with only one row of hairs anchored in a plastic matrix.
  • the ease of manufacture as it is given by devices for hair supplementation with hair embedded in a plastic matrix, is essentially retained.
  • the hair has only one direction of travel over its entire length from its anchoring in the respective plastic matrix, which, when using real hair, is the same running direction as the wearer's natural hair, so that there is no risk of the hair of the device becoming matted with one another or with the natural hair of the wearer.
  • optical advantages result from the fact that the hairs of the first plurality of hairs emerging from the first plastic matrix run along the main direction across the second plastic matrix on the side of the second plastic matrix facing away from the carrier tape.
  • the second plastic matrix is covered by the hair anchored in the first plastic matrix and is therefore not visible, even if the device according to the invention for hair supplementation is exposed.
  • At least one third plastic matrix can be attached to the carrier tape, in which hairs of a third plurality of hairs, which are aligned parallel to one another along the main direction, are embedded and anchored at their upper ends.
  • further plastic matrices with further pluralities of hairs can also be attached to the carrier tape.
  • the number of plastic matrices in the device according to the invention is typically between two and five, often three or four.
  • the hairs of the first plurality of hairs emerging from the first plastic matrix and the hairs of the second plurality of hairs emerging from the second plastic matrix can run along the main direction across the third plastic matrix on the side of the third plastic matrix facing away from the carrier tape .
  • This third plastic matrix and correspondingly also every further plastic matrix is then particularly well covered by the hair anchored in the first and second plastic matrix. Overall, only the first plastic matrix is then visible, even if the device according to the invention is exposed.
  • At least this first plastic matrix can be provided with a matt surface or a matt cover on its side facing away from the carrier tape, so that it too is optically inconspicuous.
  • at least the first plastic matrix and its cover, if any, can be transparent or translucent on its side facing away from the carrier tape up to the hair of the first plurality of hairs.
  • At least the color of the device according to the invention, but preferably also the optical structure of the The device according to the invention is determined up to the area of the first plastic matrix by the hair anchored therein.
  • the height of the device according to the invention above the carrier tape is relatively small. It only adds a little.
  • the carrier tape of the device according to the invention can also remain comparatively narrow, and with a width of each of three plastic matrices of about 3 mm its width is only about 1 cm.
  • the device according to the invention can be arranged particularly inconspicuously in the natural hair of the wearer and can also be shaped onto the head of the wearer.
  • the hairs along the main direction can only end with the respective plastic matrix in which they are embedded.
  • the hair, together with the plastic matrix can be cut to its small width in the device according to the invention.
  • the hair can first be embedded in a wider plastic matrix, which is then cut to its smaller width in the device according to the invention.
  • this can be followed by an anti-hygroscopic sealing of the cut edges of the hair.
  • the fastening device of the device according to the invention can have an adhesive layer initially covered with a cover on the side of the carrier tape facing away from the plastic matrices in order to glue the device to the natural hair of the wearer.
  • This adhesive layer can be exchangeable in order to be able to renew it, for example, after washing the device.
  • the fastening device can, however, also have at least one toupee clip. A toupee clip is then typically sewn onto each of the two lateral ends of the carrier tape.
  • the plastic matrices can each extend transversely to the main direction to the ends of the carrier tape.
  • a length of the carrier tape between its ends can be 3 to 15 or only 5 to 10 cm.
  • the plastic matrices can each have at least one interruption running transversely to the main direction. In the area of the interruption, when the device according to the invention is adapted to the head of its wearer, only the carrier tape has to be deformed. This makes the adjustment easier.
  • transverse to the main direction refers here not only to an exactly perpendicular direction but to any direction which has a substantial component perpendicular to the main direction.
  • along the main direction here refers not only to an exactly parallel direction but to any direction which has a substantial component parallel to the main direction.
  • the plastic matrix can be built up in layers from different plastics, for example by coating a substrate with an adhesive with which the hair is glued to the substrate, and then covering the hair with additional adhesive or plastic in one or more steps. This results in a layer structure of the plastic matrix.
  • flat material such as a layer of silk gauze for matting or the like can also be embedded in this layer structure. With the substrate, the plastic matrix can then be glued to the carrier tape after it has been cut to its desired width along the main direction.
  • FIG. 1 is a plan view of a hair supplement device 1.
  • the direction of view of FIG Fig. 1 corresponds to the view of the device 1 when it is attached to the natural hair of a wearer.
  • a carrier tape 2 of the device is then normally covered by further natural hairs of the wearer, so that from the device 1 only portions of their hair 3 that are further away from the carrier tape 2 can be seen.
  • the hair 3 of the device 1 is divided into three approximately equal numbers of hairs.
  • the hairs 3 of the first plurality of hairs are anchored with their upper ends 4 in a first plastic matrix 5.
  • the individual hairs 3 run parallel to one another along a main direction 6.
  • the first plastic matrix 5 extends in the form of a band transversely to the main direction 6 along the upper edge of the carrier band 2.
  • the hairs 3 of the second plurality of hairs are anchored with their upper ends 7 in a second plastic matrix 8. They also run parallel to one another along the main direction 6.
  • the second plastic matrix 8 is fastened in the middle of the carrier tape 2 and is aligned parallel to the first plastic matrix 5.
  • the hairs 3 embedded in the first plastic matrix 5 cover the second plastic matrix 8.
  • the hairs 3 of the third plurality of hairs are embedded and anchored with their upper ends 9 in a third plastic matrix 10.
  • the third plastic matrix 10 runs on the lower edge of the carrier tape 2 parallel to the first plastic matrix 5 and the second plastic matrix 8.
  • the third plastic matrix 10 is covered by the hairs 3 that are anchored in the first plastic matrix 5 and in the second plastic matrix 8.
  • the first plastic matrix 5 is visible, which is provided here with a matt surface 11 and which is translucent up to the upper ends 4 of the embedded hair 3.
  • the running direction of the hair 3 from their upper ends 4, 7, 9 along the main direction 6 corresponds, if the hair 3 is real hair, to the natural running direction of the real hair from its root to its tip.
  • Fig. 2 shows how on the back of the carrier tape 2 running transversely to the main direction 6, at the ends 12 and 13 of which a toupee clip 14 (only shown schematically here) is fastened as fastening device 15 for the device 1.
  • the toupee clips 14 are typically sewn onto the carrier tape 2.
  • the carrier tape 2 is provided on its rear side with an adhesive layer 16 as a fastening device 15 which, before use, is provided with a removable cover (not shown here) can be provided. Also shows Fig. 3 that the carrier tape 2 can be molded onto the head of a wearer of the device 1, and not only in its in Fig. 3 visible width direction but also in the transverse longitudinal direction.
  • the carrier tape 2 can, for. B. be a plastic tape but also a fabric tape and / or include.
  • the plastic matrices 5, 8 and 10 are attached to the carrier tape 2. They can be glued to the carrier tape 2 for this purpose.
  • the plastic matrices 5, 8 and 10 run next to one another and do not overlap one another along the main direction 6.
  • the plastic matrices 5 , 8 and 10 with the embedded ends 4, 7 and 9 of the hair 3 can each correspond to a device for hair supplementation, as it is basically from the DE 20 2005 010 845 U1 is known, even if the plastic matrices 5, 8 and 10 are typically formed narrower along the main direction 6 than the carrier tape in this prior art.
