Definitions
- the invention relates to a nozzle for refueling fuel via a gas pump, with a nozzle housing, which has a Kraftstoffabgaberohrstutzen and on the other hand a Zapfschlauchan gleich with a device for sucking fuel vapors, which has a connectable via a gas hose to a vacuum source gas valve which in the Used with the fuel nozzle and flows around it with flowing fuel, wherein the gas valve has a cooperating with a valve seat gas valve body which is connected to a solenoid which is mounted in a non-ferromagnetic solenoid housing, the gas valve is slidably opening and closing, and with an outside the solenoid housing between a starting position and an end position defined by a stop slidably mounted, magnetically coupled to the actuating magnet actuating magnet.
- Such a dispensing valve is from the DE 44 31 547 C1 known and allows refueling the exiting from a motor vehicle tank fuel vapors that may be mixed with air.
- the extracted fuel vapors are returned, for example, to an underground tank at a petrol station.
- the nozzle is provided with the gas valve to limit the suction on the time interval, while the actual fuel delivered and fuel vapor from the is displaced to be filled vehicle tank.
- the known dispensing valve further allows a so-called dry test of the device for the extraction of fuel vapors, which is regularly subjected to a regulatory prescribed test.
- the dry test i. without real fuel delivery, to check the volume flow extracted by the fuel vapor extraction device, the gas valve must be brought to an open position. This is possible in a known manner by a corresponding inclination of the dispensing valve due to the dead weight of the actuating magnet which moves through the magnetic coupling with the actuating magnet and thus the gas valve in an open position.
- the invention is therefore an object of the invention to improve a generic nozzle to the effect that it allows the actual fuel flow rate corresponding gas flow rate, further a dry test should be possible.
- a float is slidably mounted, which is acted upon by flowing fuel from this and thereby movable from a starting position against the action of a return spring, wherein the float provided with a floating body magnets and is magnetically coupled to the actuating magnet, and wherein the solenoid as a function of its displacement, in particular in proportion to its displacement, the gas valve opens and closes continuously, or in a preferred variant proportional to the fuel flow rate.
- the magnetic coupling between the actuating magnet and the float magnet is stronger than a weight of the actuating magnet.
- the magnetic coupling between the actuating magnet and the float magnet is weaker than a weight of the actuating magnet.
- the invention provides that by a jerky movement of the nozzle body against an opening direction of the actuating magnet, the magnetic coupling between the actuating magnet and floating magnet is separable, so that a dry test of the device for the extraction of fuel vapors is feasible.
- only one of the actuating and actuating magnets is designed as a permanent magnet and the other part of ferromagnetic material. Accordingly, it may be provided that only one of the actuation and floating body magnets is designed as a permanent magnet and the other part of ferromagnetic material.
- the invention preferably provides that the gas valve with actuating magnet, actuating magnet housing, actuating magnet, float and return spring is designed as a cartridge which can be installed and removed in a nozzle housing.
- the return spring can be adjusted by an adjusting screw in their restoring force.
- the float magnet due to its magnetic coupling to the actuating magnet in normal operation, ensures that the float is coupled to the actuating magnet and is moved together with it depending on the magnitude of the fuel flow, so that the gas valve is opened and closed in proportion to the actual flowing fuel flow.
- To carry out the dry test needs the dispensing valve housing, if the magnetic coupling between the float and actuating magnet in the starting position (there is no fuel flows) is weaker than the weight of the actuating magnet, only to be inclined downwards. Otherwise, only a downward jerk or impact on the nozzle body is needed to be exercised.
- the gas valve, the float and a gas suction device are coordinated so that an extracted gas flow rate corresponds to a fuel flow rate.
- the gas valve is a proportional valve.
- the gas valve has a linear characteristic between the opening cross-section and valve body displacement.
- a maximum gas flow rate with a throttle screw is adjustable.
- a device 12 for the extraction of fuel vapors is arranged according to the invention in the fuel nozzle 1 and effected during a refueling operation, the exhaust of fuel vapors via a coaxially arranged to the Kraftstoffabgabrohrhrstutzen 4 Gasabsaugstutzen 14, which is connected via a not shown in detail gas flow path to the device 12.
- Fig. 2 illustrates a longitudinal sectional view of the structure of the device 12 for the extraction of fuel vapors in a closed position.
- the device 12 has a via a gas hose, not shown, connected to a vacuum source gas valve 16 which is disposed in the fuel inlet in the nozzle body 1 and flows around a fuel flow 52 during refueling, while the extracted fuel vapors as gas stream 54 through the open gas valve and a coaxially extending within a fuel hose gas hose are sucked.
- the gas valve body 18 is connected to a solenoid 22 which is guided within a solenoid housing 24 in the longitudinal direction 26 and thus in the opening and closing direction.
- a plug 28 closes off the solenoid housing 24, which consists of a non-ferromagnetic material, end.
- a throttle screw 15 is disposed at a location where the previously annular gas flow area is merged into a substantially cylindrical cross section and allows adjustment of the free flow area and thus regulation of maximum gas flow rate with the gas valve fully open.
- an actuating magnet 30 is guided longitudinally displaceable, which is provided in this embodiment with an additional weight 32.
- Adjacent to the actuating magnet 30, a float 34 is guided longitudinally displaceably on the actuating magnet housing 24.
- the floating body 34 is acted upon by the fuel flowing through it and moved in the opening direction of the gas valve 16 moves, in Fig. 2 to the left. This movement takes place against the action of a return spring 36, which tends to the float in non-flowing fuel in the in Fig. 2 back to shown closed position.
- the fuel passes through Fig. 2 invisible circular segment-like spaces between spoke-like struts 46 of the solenoid housing and an upstream thereof, in Fig. 2 right, arranged gas valve housing 48 ( Fig. 5 ).
- the return spring 36 is supported against an adjusting screw 38 whose position in the longitudinal direction for adjusting the restoring force of the return spring 36 is variable and at the same time forms a stop 40 for the movement of the actuating magnet 30 and its additional weight 32.
- the floating body 34 is provided with a floating body magnet 42 which can cooperate with the actuating magnet 30 and / or an iron or magnetic sheet 44 connected thereto.
- the levitation magnet 42 in one embodiment, has a strength that allows the weight of the actuation magnet 30 to be held when the actuation magnet 30 or magnet plate 44 is in close proximity to the float magnet 42, such that in a vertical orientation of the longitudinal direction 26, the actuating magnet is held by the float magnet, if it is in close proximity thereto.
- one element of the magnetic pairings actuating magnet 30 and actuating magnet 22 on the one hand and floating body magnet 42 and actuating magnet 30 on the other hand may consist of a ferromagnetic material, provided that the respective other element is a permanent magnet.
- the actuating magnet 30 could be designed as a permanent magnet, while the actuating magnet and the levitation magnet can be designed as ferromagnetic parts.
- the gas valve body 18 is obviously not formed as a planar or spherical body, but has a structurally exactly predetermined, elongated spindle-shaped, which provides in cooperation with the valve seat 20 for a gradual, continuous opening and closing behavior, the free cross-sectional area of the valve and Thus, the released gas flow rate of the displacement of the solenoid 22 follows. On the other hand, the displacement of the float 34 against the return spring 36 is continuously dependent on the fuel flow rate.
- Fig. 3 shows the position of the various elements of the device 12 for exhausting fuel vapors in an operating position in which the float 34 is pressed by the flowing past this flow of fuel (arrows 52) in an open position in which the return spring 36 is compressed and the float 34 against the actuating magnet 30 and this abuts against the stop 40.
- the gas valve 16 is fully open.
- the characteristics of the gas valve (path-opening cross-section), the return spring and the float (path fuel flow rate) and a gas suction or vacuum source (vacuum gas flow), not shown, are preferably coordinated so that in operation a proportionality or linearity between fuel and Gas flow rate, so that the extracted gas volume flow corresponds to the incoming fuel flow.
- Fig. 4 explains the conditions in the dry test. Since there is no fuel flow, the return spring 36 presses the float 34 in its initial position. Normally, the device for exhausting fuel vapors initially assumes the position in this situation Fig. 2 one. If, starting from this, the dispensing valve is tilted downwards or held vertically downwards, the actuating magnet 30 moves downwards in the direction of the stop 40 and 40 because of its gravitational force and the missing or weakened magnetic coupling on the floating body magnets (because of the distance between both elements) takes it with the solenoid 22, so that the situation Fig. 4 adjusted, in which the gas valve is fully opened despite lack of fuel flow and a dry test can be performed.
- a second, not shown embodiment there is the possibility that in the starting position accordingly Fig. 2 the float magnet 42 and the actuating magnet 30 are located immediately adjacent to each other without a gap, so that there is a relatively fixed magnetic coupling.
- the operating behavior with flowing fuel is as described above, wherein the gas valve is always controlled so that sets a gas flow rate corresponding to the fuel flow rate.
- the position for carrying out the dry test can be adjusted accordingly Fig. 4 be achieved in that a jerky movement of the dispensing valve housing is carried out against the opening direction of the actuating magnet, whereupon the magnetic coupling between Float magnet and actuating magnet dissolves. This can move in the direction of the stop 40 despite unchanged position of the float. With a vertical orientation of the dispensing valve housing, the actuating magnet 30 then moves all the way to the stop 40, thereby completely opening the gas valve.
- the force of the magnetic coupling between the float magnet and actuating magnet need only be sufficiently large that the float during a refueling operation in a movement toward its initial or closed position (decreasing fuel flow) can take the actuating magnet. There is the possibility that the weight of the actuating magnet is greater or smaller than the force of the magnetic coupling. In both cases, the open gas valve position required for the dry test can be readily achieved.

Description

Fig. 2 nach links.
Fig. 2 ersichtlich ist.
-
Fig. 4 erläutert die Verhältnisse bei der Trockenprüfung.
