Abstract
La présente invention concerne une installation de transport sur des moyennes distances, présentant une voie dotée d'au moins deux emplacements d'entrée/de sortie (1) et sur laquelle des wagons (4 - 8) mobiles dont la forme de base est celle d'un secteur de disque ou d'anneau, se déplacent ou sont mis en mouvement en continu en étant en contact par complémentarité de forme. Les emplacements d'entrée/de sortie (1) sont reliés dans les deux sens de déplacement par une voie se composant en général de rails (2, 3) le long de laquelle les wagons (4 - 8) peuvent être mis en mouvement en étant commandés de façon individuelle par un entraînement. La vitesse de déplacement le long de la voie est indépendante de la vitesse au passage par les emplacements d'entrée/de sortie (1). L'installation de transport combine ainsi les avantages de bandes transporteuses se déplaçant de manière continue à ceux de voies de transport à grande vitesse.
