Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for separating printed products on the underside of a printed product stack and for feeding a processing line with these printed products, with a conveyor rotor having at least one separating member in the peripheral region with a pivotable suction cup holder parallel to a shaft of the conveyor rotor formed with a suction head attached thereto, with each of which a printed product from the stack is partially lifted and displaceable to the periphery of the conveyor rotor, and with controlled actuating means for moving the separating member for a partial lifting of a printed product from the stack end.
  • FIG. 6 A device of this kind is known in the art from EP-A-1 197 449 known.
  • a simplified illustration of this device is in the FIG. 6 represented this application.
  • the FIG. 5a This application also shows schematically the movement of the cleaner head.
  • printed products such as folded or unfolded sheets, films and the like and thus pliable objects can each be taken below a stack in the vicinity of a back and tipped occasionally and handed over to the conveyor rotor.
  • at least one suction head is provided with a suction point, which is connected via a line to a vacuum source. If a printed product is tipped around an edge, the suction point moves on a circular arc.
  • the gripping point of the suction head must follow the abovementioned tilt curve and thus a circular arc, an involute or another curve.
  • the suction surface should be kept tangent to the dumping printed product. If an angular error is formed in this case, there is a significant risk, especially in the case of stiffer printed products and high processing speeds, that the suction head loses contact with the printed product or too little time is available for the proper formation of a holding vacuum.
  • the necessary for grasping a printed product vacuum can be built only when the suction head or the Saugerhalter by its pivoting movement correctly applied to the bow.
  • a transfer device of a packaging machine is known with which the respective lowest carton is separated from a magazine and fed to a further processing station.
  • the transfer device has two rotatably mounted on a fixed axis discs, between which a pivotable gripping head is attached to a hinge device.
  • a control cam is mounted, in which a connected to the hinge device cam roller runs.
  • the vacuum-provided gripping head can additionally exert a movement in the radial direction in addition to a pivoting movement about an axis parallel to the stationary axis. This allows the gripping head to grasp the carton and transfer it from the magazine to the further processing station.
  • the running speed of a transfer device as shown in the WO93 / 14011 is disclosed is limited due to the complex hinge device.
  • the invention is based on the object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned.
  • the device should thus allow a higher processing speed. Even comparatively stiff printed products should be reliably removable from a stack.
  • the separating member has a joint on the teat holder.
  • control means are provided with which the nipple holder is movable about the further joint. Due to the further joint and the further control means, it is possible to control the web as well as the angular position of at least one suction head so that said angle error can be largely avoided.
  • the further joint allows a further second degree of freedom for the movement of the at least one suction head. With the additional degree of freedom through the further joint and by the other control means, the pivotal movement of the separating member can be corrected. Disturbing shear forces, tensile forces or tilting moments of the least one suction head on the recorded printed product can be avoided.
  • control means have at least one cam roller which is arranged on the suction cup holder.
  • two cam rollers are arranged on the teat holder. This allows a particularly simple and safe movement of the nipple holder or the at least one suction head.
  • the further joint is arranged on the teat holder.
  • the teat holder may have one or more suction heads.
  • the movement of the nipple holder and the nipple head is preferably a pivoting movement and can be understood as a correction movement.
  • the shaft of the separating member and the suction cup holder run parallel to one another. This allows a particularly simple and secure control of said movements.
  • the teat holder is mounted on the separating member via a lever mechanism.
  • a lever mechanism which also allows a particularly simple control of the nipple holder.
  • two levers or joints are provided at a distance from each other.
  • the other joint connects two levers.
  • the one lever is connected to the shaft of the separating member and the other lever to the suction cup holder.
  • the joint is preferably a pivot joint. Such a joint can be realized particularly simply and safely as well as cost-effectively.
  • the at least one suction head extends substantially at right angles to a longitudinal extension of the suction cup holder.
  • the suction cup holder can be produced particularly easily.
  • the passages for connecting the at least one suction head to a vacuum source can be made comparatively easily.
  • the further control means have a curved path.
  • the cam roller cooperates with said cam track.
  • this cam track is arranged on a co-rotating cam.
  • other control means are also conceivable.
  • the nipple holder could be pivoted by means of a separate drive, for example by means of a motor.
  • the movement of the at least one suction head to the other leads. This allows a particularly accurate alignment of the suction surface to be separated to the printed product.
  • the movement of the at least one suction head is coordinated with the movement of the separating member so that a suction surface of the at least one suction head is aligned in a cycle section on the printed product to be tipped off and separated.
  • This has the particular advantage that the separation of comparatively stiff printed products of the contact of the suction head is not lost to the printed product.
  • the device according to the invention is in particular a feeder for loading a transport route or a processing station such as a gathering chain, a collecting channel or a plug-in machine.
  • the device 1 has a conveyor rotor 2, which is rotatably driven about a shaft 3 with a drive not shown here. With this conveyor rotor 2, from the end of a stack 24 ( FIG. 3 ), which is located for example in a magazine 23, deducted at the bottom of each print product 25 and thereby isolated.
  • the printed products 25 are transported with the conveyor rotor 2 and dropped or stored, for example, on a collecting chain, not shown here or in a collecting channel.
  • the conveyor rotor 2 according to FIG. 4 two rotor disks 4, which are rotatably connected to the rotor shaft 3. These rotor disks 4 each have a circumference 31 which is substantially circular and to which the printed products 25 taken off can be applied for transport.
  • the rotor disks 4 shown here are designed such that two printed products 25 can be conveyed per revolution. However, this is format dependent, so it is also possible that only one printed product 25 is deducted per handling. Also conceivable is an embodiment in which more than two printed products 25 can be deducted per handling.
  • At least one separating member T is provided, which is mounted on the conveyor rotor 2.
  • the separating member T has a control shaft 16 which are pivotally mounted on two opposite cams 6 each with a pivot bearing 19.
  • the two cams 6 are rotatably connected to the rotor shaft 3.
  • At least one end of the control shaft 16, a pinion 18 is arranged, with which the control shaft 16 and thus the separating member T during a rotational movement of the conveyor rotor 2 can be pivoted.
  • the control shaft 16 and the pinion 18 are thus the actuating means for moving the separating member T.
  • the pinion 18 is for this purpose with other control means, not shown here, for example a toothing engageable. Suitable control means are well known to those skilled in the art.
  • the control shaft 16 could also be pivoted directly with an engine, not shown.
  • the separating member T also has a suction cup holder 9, which is pivotally connected to the separating member T via a lever mechanism. Two spaced apart joints 21 each connect a lever 14 to a lever 22 of the lever mechanism.
  • the lever 14 is formed angular as shown.
  • the lever 22 is fixedly connected to the Saugerhalter 9, which according to the dotted line 32 (FIG. FIG. 2 ) extends parallel to the control shaft 16 and also parallel to the rotor shaft 3.
  • the arm 22 is comparatively short, and in particular shorter than the arm 14. This is also from the FIG. 5b seen.
  • a cam roller 8 is arranged in each case, which cooperate with a cam track 7 of a cam 6 respectively. By means of spring elements 15, the cam rollers 8 are pulled radially against the cam tracks 7.
  • a suction surface 12 and centrally in this a suction opening 13 have.
  • These suction openings 13 are each via a channel 10 ( FIG. 2 ) of the nipple holder 9 connected to a flexible conduit 19, for example in the form of a hose.
  • This line 29 is in turn connected to a channel 33 of the rotor shaft 3 and this in turn connected to a vacuum source, not shown here. Suitable connections of the line 29 with the shaft 3 are known in the art.
  • These suction cups 11 each have a neck 11 a and a suction cup 11 b, which forms said suction surface 12 and suction opening 13.
  • the neck 11 extends here at a right angle from the teat holder 9.
  • the neck 11a may also be formed at an angle or otherwise.
  • the suction cup 11b may be made of a rubber-elastic material as known per se. The number of suction cups 11 depends in particular on the format of the printed products 25 to be processed. One or more suction cups 11 can accordingly be provided.
  • the suction cups 11 are moved with rotating conveyor rotor 2 so that they each with the suction surface 12 according to the Figures 3 and 5b from below against the lowest printed product 25 approach, so that this can finally be sucked.
  • the suction takes place in each case in the vicinity of an edge 25a and in particular in the vicinity of a fold.
  • An aspirated printed product 25 is pulled down after the formation of a required vacuum, so that according to FIG. 3 the edge 25a moves in the direction of the arrow 28 down.
  • the printed product 25 is placed around a sprung deflection roller 26 and the edge 25a is moved into a subsequent recess 5 and pulled by subsequent clamping between the guide roller 26 and the conveyor rotor 2 from the stack.
  • EP-A-1 197 449 shown the clamping and singling can also be done by means of (additional) gripper. This is known to the person skilled in the art and therefore need not be further explained here. It is also referred to the above EP-A-1 197 449 directed.
  • the separating member T When lifting a printed product 25 from the end of the stack and when passing to the conveyor rotor 2, the separating member T basically makes a pivoting movement about the control shaft 16, which in the FIG. 3 are indicated by the double arrow 27. This pivotal movement is superimposed on a movement of the suction cup holder 9 and the suction cups 11 about the joints 21.
  • the control means of this movement are the cam tracks 7 and the cam rollers 8 running thereon.
  • This superimposed movement is a correction movement, which is tuned to the pivoting movement about the control shaft 16.
  • it is advantageous that the distance between the control shaft 16 and the joints 21 is substantially greater than the distance between each joint 21 and a suction surface 12.
  • the movable mounting of the suction holder 9 results in a further degree of freedom, a better and more accurate application of Suction surface 12 to be deducted Print product 25 allows. Also, for the lifting of a printed product from the stack end, the orientation of the suction surface 12 can be aligned with the captured printed product 25.
  • FIGS. 5a and 5b compare the movements of the separating element according to the prior art with the movement by means of a device according to the invention 1.
  • the line A or A ' show four different phases of these movements.
  • the suction surface 12 is aligned approximately parallel to the printed product 25 only in the third section shown with the dash-dot line.
  • the inventive device 1 is carried out according to FIG. 5b the intended orientation of the suction surface 12 already earlier in the second and shown in dashed line section so that the necessary intake vacuum can be generated comparatively early.
