Hardware part for windows or doors, consisting of at least one first and one second hardware part (8.3, 21), wherein each hardware part (8.3, 21) is made up of at least one cover rail (23, 24) and a drive bar (25, 26) displaceable relative to the cover rail (23, 24), wherein the drive bars (25, 26) are connected via a coupling device (29) located at the drive bar ends (27, 28), and the coupling device (29) consists of two coupling parts (30, 31), wherein the first coupling part (30) consists of a toothed segment (33) running along a part section, on the longitudinal narrow side of the one drive rod (26), and the second coupling part (31) consists of a U-shaped coupling shoe (35) of the other drive bar (25), engaging around the toothed segment (33) with a complementary tooth arrangement (34), wherein one of the coupling parts (30, 31) recoils in a coupling position relative to the cover rail (24) covering the drive bar (26), while the second coupling part (31) protrudes over the cover rail (23),
    characterized in that
    the toothed segment (33) has a spacer (36), dimensioned such that said spacer, supported by the second drive bar (25) or the second coupling part (31), holds the coupling parts (30, 31) out of engagement, wherein the spacer (36) has no effect in a potential coupling position.
  2. Hardware part according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the spacer (36) is formed as an end section (50) projecting from the drive bar (26) in the direction of the coupling shoe (35), to which an opening (52) is allocated in the second drive bar (25) in the coupling position, wherein, on the end side, a joint chamfer (51) is located on the coupling part (31) and/or the drive bar (26).
  3. Hardware part according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the spacer (36) is configured as a projection (55) protruding in the direction of the coupling shoe (35) at the first drive bar (26), opposite which, in the coupling position, is a cut-out opening in the coupling shoe (35), wherein the projection (55) comprises at least one joint chamfer (57).
  4. Hardware part according to claim 3, characterized in that the projection (55) is formed as one piece at the drive bar (26).
  5. Hardware part according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the spacer (36) is formed as a T-shaped end section (37) at the first drive bar (26), the width (38) of which is dimensioned as greater than the clear distance spacing (39) of the U-limbs (40, 41) forming the U-cross-section of the coupling shoe (35) and that the U-limbs (40, 41) are provided with joint chamfers (44) lying at least in the direction of the first drive bar (26).
