Abstract

What is proposed is an espagnolette fitting for windows, doors or the like, having at least one espagnolette installable in a rebate groove (9, 10) on a spar of a wing or frame and guided so as to be longitudinally pushable under a face plate, and having a corner deflection (24) which can be coupled to the espagnolette and which has a flexible deflection member (27), for example spring-steel bands, which is received so as to be longitudinally pushable in a rigid angular deflecting guide (25) which lies with one leg against the inner face of a slip-on piece (32) and which can be installed at a wing or frame corner in the grooves of two spars of the wing or frame, the corner deflection (24) including at least one espagnolette piece (29) which is connected to one end of the flexible deflection member (27) and which is held so as to be longitudinally pushable on the inner face of the slip-on piece (32), and the espagnolette piece (29) carrying a bolt member (30), which can be brought into and out of operative connection with a fixed bolt engagement, and/or a coupling means (31) for a connecting espagnolette which leads further and which is likewise held so as to be longitudinally displaceable under a face plate. So that the espagnolette fitting, but particularly the corner deflection (24), can be fastened easily not only to window or door wings having standard profiles and stepped grooves, but also to crossed wings or standing wings of two-winged windows and doors or the like without vertical centre posts and with special profiles and rectangular groove, the deflecting guide (25) is held jointly with the deflection member (27) so as to be transversely displaceable to a limited extent relative to the slip-on piece (32) and to the espagnolette piece (27). <IMAGE>

Die breite Öffnungsseite der Stufennut dient dabei zur abgestütztenSuch a drive rod fitting is known from EP-A-0 305 732. Espagnolette fittings of this type have also proven their worth in practical use. They are basically used in sashes or frames of windows and doors assembled from wood or plastic profiles, which are provided on their rebate circumferential surface with a so-called step groove, which has an essentially T-shaped cross-section, in which the greatest groove width in the area of each other parallel T-leg and at the same time on the opening side of the groove. The wide opening side of the step groove is used for support

The faceplate or faceplate of various hardware components can be accommodated, while in the narrower profile area of the step groove the connecting rods, connecting rod pieces and the other functional parts of a connecting rod fitting that interact with them can be accommodated.

The step grooves used to receive the drive rod fittings are usually arranged on the circumferential fold surfaces of the spars of the wing or frame in such a way that they have a common longitudinal center plane parallel to the wing or frame plane.

Particularly in the case of windows and doors or the like with two sashes, one of which is arranged as an undermining sash or passive leaf and the other as an overlapping sash or active leaf in a fixed frame without an upright mullion, it is - at least as a rule - It is not common to provide the upright spar of the passive leaf with a step groove on the opening side. Rather, only a relatively flat and narrow rectangular groove is provided in the rebate surface, the width of which is approximately one third smaller than is the case for the T-shaped step grooves in the area of their narrow profile section. In addition, the rectangular groove on the folded surface of the opening-side, upright wing spar still has such an arrangement that its longitudinal center plane is offset from the longitudinal center plane of the step grooves located in the other wing spars, by an amount that can be up to 2 millimeters.

On the rebate surface of the upright spar of the opening of the tucking sash or passive leaf of such windows, doors or the like, the drive rod fittings usually consisting of a faceplate and an underlying drive rod can be installed. Here, however, only the drive rod is received in the relatively narrow and flat rectangular groove, while the faceplate receives a support at its edges directly on the flat groove peripheral surface provided with the rectangular groove.

If a drive rod fitting is attached in this way to the opening-side, upright spar of the embossing sash or passive leaf, it is not readily possible to also arrange movable functional parts of an espagnolette fitting on the upper and / or lower horizontal spar and to drive the drive rod fitting by means of a corner deflection to couple, because the different groove positions on the sash or frame corners cannot be bridged.

The invention aims at the creation of an espagnolette fitting for windows, doors or the like with the generic features mentioned at the outset, which is not only problem-free not only on window or door sashes with normal profiles and step grooves, but also on embossing sashes or passive sashes of double-sash windows and Doors or the like can be struck without upright mullions with special profiles and a rectangular groove.

The solution proposed according to the invention is characterized in that
  • that the deflecting guide together with the deflecting member is held so as to be displaceable to a limited extent in relation to the first faceplate and the first drive rod piece which is guided longitudinally thereon.

It is achieved by using these features in a simple manner that the section of the corner deflections spanning the step grooves on the horizontal wing or frame spars enables compensation of the offset position between the grooves running at right angles to one another and consequently the difference in distance between the longitudinal center planes of the two different ones Grooves bridged.

A particularly advantageous design of the drive rod fitting according to the invention is characterized in that two faceplate pieces form a faceplate angle with one another and one of these faceplate pieces is firmly connected to the associated leg of the deflection guide. It has proven itself in this case if - for reasons of stability - the two cuff pieces of the faceplate are coupled to each other at their mutually facing ends either directly or with the interposition of the deflection guide by means of hook or claw profiles which engage in the transverse direction and consequently support and guide one another.

For the cross-adjustable faceplate, it is also advantageous if it is also engaged with the leg of the deflection guide parallel to it at or near its free end by a further transverse guide.

A secure cohesion of the functional parts forming the corner deflection is also useful according to the invention if the connecting rod piece is connected to the flexible deflecting element by means of coupling elements which can be positively displaced in the transverse direction, with the possibility being provided that these coupling elements have undercut guide profiles, e.g. T and C profiles or dovetail profiles to interlock.

For a space-saving design of the corner deflection, which favors its accommodation in the relatively narrow and flat rectangular groove, the invention provides that the deflection guide is received with one leg in a cutout of the associated faceplate and fixed therein in such a way that the deflection guide is flexible Deflector is located directly adjacent to the inside of the face plate. The cross-sectional profile of the legs on the deflection guide should not exceed the smallest occurring cross-section of the groove on the sash on the sash or frame, while the faceplate (s) has a cross-section that is matched to the greatest possible width of the serrated step grooves on the sash or frame .

Finally, the invention also provides that the faceplate of the corner deflector, which is firmly connected to the deflecting guide, has a longitudinally symmetrical arrangement with respect to the adjacent leg of the deflecting guide.

In Fig. 1 der Zeichnung ist ein Fenster oder eine Fenstertür zu sehen, welches bzw. welche von einem feststehenden Rahmen 1 sowie zwei in diesem öffenbar gehaltenen Flügel 2 und 3 gebildet wird.1 of the drawing shows a window or a window door which is formed by a fixed frame 1 and two sashes 2 and 3 which can be opened in this frame.

In the closed position of the window or the window door, the two sashes 2 and 3 with their upright spars 2a and 3a facing each other immediately hit one another, i.e. in the fixed frame 1 there is no upright middle post between the two sashes 2 and 3.

While the wing 3 is provided as an underlapping wing or passive wing and is attached to the fixed frame 1 only as a rotating wing, the wing 2 forms the overlapping wing or active wing and is installed or effective as a tilt and turn wing on the fixed frame 1.

The swinging wing 3 forming the underlapping wing or passive wing is connected to the fixed frame 1 on the left side so as to be rotatable about an upright axis 4, while the tilt-and-turn wing forming the overlapping wing or active wing is optionally selectable about the right-hand, upright axis 5 or about the lower, horizontal axis 6 is movable 2 with the frame 1 in connection.

The structure and mode of operation of the articulated fittings installed between the fixed frame 1 and the wings 2 and 3 are known per se and are therefore only mentioned below to the extent that this is still necessary to understand the subject matter of the invention.

In the case of a window or a window door of the type shown in FIG. 1, however, it is essential that the swinging wing 3 forming the underlapping wing or passive wing has at least the upper corner 3b and the lower corner 3c of its opening-side upright spar 3a in the closed position on the upper horizontal leg 1a and on the lower horizontal leg 1b of the fixed frame 1 can be locked or fixed. In the area of the corners 3b and 3c of the rotary wing 3, special locking devices are therefore installed, which can be inserted and moved relative to the upper, horizontal leg 1a and to the lower, horizontal leg 1b of the fixed frame 1 with the aid of a connecting rod fitting, namely a so-called sash lock disengage.

Standflügels 3 die unterschiedliche Profilierung am öffnungsseitigen, aufrechten Holm 3a und am oberen waagerechten Holm 3d zu sehen.2 and 3 of the drawing, using the example of the upper corner 3b of the underlapping wing or passive wing 3, the different profiles on the opening-side upright spar 3a and on the upper horizontal spar 3d can be seen.

Of course, the profiling of the lower horizontal wing spar 3e is similarly different in relation to the upright wing spar 3a on the opening side.

With regard to the different profiling of the upright wing spar 3a on the opening side and of the upper horizontal wing spar 3d or the lower horizontal wing spar 3e on the one hand, it is primarily or essentially the grooves 9 and 8 provided in the groove circumferential surfaces 7 and 8 directed transversely to the main plane of the wing 3 and 10 for the installation of espagnolette fittings, which merge into one another at the wing corner 3b or 3c in the apex region of both rebate peripheral surfaces 7 and 8.

In the circumferential fold surface 7 on the upright spar 3a of the wing 3 on the opening side, the groove 9 is designed as a relatively narrow and flat rectangular groove, it being able to have a width 11 of approximately 8 mm and a depth 12 of approximately 4 mm.

The position of the groove 9, which is flat in cross section, in the circumferential seam surface 7, namely its distance 13 from the inner seam edge 14, can vary from case to case, in the normal case, for example, between 6 and 7 mm.

The groove 10 provided in the upper horizontal wing spar 3d and also in the lower horizontal wing spar 3e in the rebate circumferential surface 8 is designed as a standardized step groove which has an essentially T-shaped cross-sectional profile. The opening side of the groove 10 on the fold peripheral surface 8 lies in the region of the two mutually parallel T-legs, which limit the groove step with the greatest width 15 of, for example, 16 mm over a depth 16 of, for example, 2 mm. This is followed by the narrower groove step over a width 17 of, for example, 12 mm and a depth 18 of, for example, 9 mm. The position of the groove 10 in the rebate circumferential surface 8 is determined by the rear stop surface 19 of the flap 20 or is also standardized with respect to this.

The plane of symmetry or longitudinal plane 21-21 of the groove 10 (FIG. 2) extends parallel to the main plane of the wing 3. This also applies to the plane of symmetry 22-22 for the groove 9. However, since the position of the groove 10 in the fold peripheral surface 7, namely their distance 13 from the inner folded edge 14, can vary within certain limits, it is possible that the longitudinal center planes 21-21 and 22-22 do not coincide, but assume a position 23 offset parallel to one another within given limits.

This parallel offset 23 between the longitudinal median plane 22-22 of the relatively narrow and flat rectangular groove 9 and the median longitudinal plane 21-21 of the relatively wide and deep step groove 10 must always be compensated for when the embossing wing or passive leaf 3 is not only upright on its opening side Spar 3a, but also on its upper, horizontal spar 3d and / or its lower horizontal spar 3e with function parts of an espagnolette fitting to be equipped. It is then namely a mutual drive connection of these functional parts via a corner drive 24 (Fig. 4 to 8) and thus an installation of the same in the area of the wing corner 3b and 3c required.

The corner deflection 24 according to FIGS. 4 to 8 uses a rigid, angular deflection guide 25. This can be made, for example, as a die-cast part made of suitable metal (brass, zinc, etc.) or as an injection-molded part made of suitable plastic and contain a guide channel 26 , in which a flexible deflection member 27, for example made of spring steel strips, longitudinally slidable but resistant to tension and compression.

The flexible deflection member 27 is connected to a drive rod piece 29 at least on the inside of the upper, horizontal leg 28 of the deflection guide 2757. This can carry at least one locking member 30 or a coupling means 31 for a further connecting drive rod which is held longitudinally displaceably under a faceplate. Preferably, however, the drive rod piece 29, as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 4 and 5, is equipped with both the locking member 30 and the coupling means 31.

With the outside of its leg 28, the rigid, angular deflection guide 25 bears against the inside of a faceplate 32 which is penetrated by the locking member 30 in the region of an elongated hole 33 and which carries on the back a guide piece 34 which penetrates the drive rod part 29 in the region of a longitudinal slot 35 .

Also on the inside of the other, vertical leg 36 of the deflecting guide 25, the flexible deflecting member 27 can be in drive connection with a connecting rod piece 37, which in turn has a coupling means 38 for a connecting connecting rod, which is, for example, part of a connecting rod fitting, usually designed as a sash lock .

A faceplate 39 can also be assigned to the upright leg 36 of the rigid, angular deflection guide 25. In this case, however, the faceplate 39 does not rest on the outside of the leg 36 of the deflection guide 25. Rather, the leg 36 is received in a cutout 40 of the face plate 39 (FIGS. 6 to 8) and is fixed therein in such a way that the guide channel 26 for the flexible deflection member 27 with its straight length region parallel to the leg 36 directly on the inside of the face plate 39 is adjacent.

The leg 36 of the deflection guide 25 is received over the largest part of its thickness within the cutout 40 of the faceplate 39 and thus only protrudes beyond the inside thereof by a relatively small amount, namely by the cross section of the guide channel 26 plus the thickness of the rear wall delimiting it. Together with the drive rod piece 37, therefore, in the area of the leg 36 of the deflection guide 35, compared to the inside of the faceplate 39, there is only a structural height of the corner deflection 24 of less than 4 mm. If the maximum overall width 41 for the deflection guide 25 does not exceed the dimension of the width 11 for the rectangular grooves 9 in the opening-side, upright spar 3a of the wing 3, the vertical section of the corner deflection 24 can be mounted without problems in the area of the rectangular groove 9, provided that its faceplate 39 is supported with its longitudinal edges lying on the fold peripheral surface 7.

At this point it should be mentioned that in the embodiment of a corner deflection 24 shown in FIGS. 4 to 8, the two cuff pieces 32 and 39 together form a cuff angle, in which the cuff piece 39 is in firm connection with the associated leg 36 of the deflection guide 25.

The two faceplate pieces 32 and 39 of the faceplate angle are coupled to one another at their mutually facing ends with the interposition of the deflection guide 25 via crosswise interlocking hook or claw profiles 42 and 43, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 4. The The hook profile 42 of the faceplate 32 is formed, for example, by a right-angled bend, while the claw profile 43 consists of an angular slot which is shaped into the corner zone of the deflection guide 25.

A guide piece 44, which is similar to the guide piece 34, also projects beyond the inside of the faceplate 39 and interacts with a longitudinal slot 45 in the drive rod piece 37. When it dips into the rectangular groove 9, it also maintains a sufficient distance from the base of the groove 9 in order to ensure an unrestricted displacement of the drive rod piece 37 therein. The guide piece 34 naturally also fulfills the same purpose when immersed in the step groove 10 for the drive rod piece 29 as soon as it is seated on the groove base. A spacer 46, which is integrally formed on the inside of the deflection guide 25 in the corner zone, also comes into support connection as a spacer with the base of the step groove 10, as is readily apparent from FIG. 4.

It should also be mentioned here that the two forend pieces 32 and 39 of the forend angle of the corner deflection 24 have a material width and a material thickness which are matched to the dimensions 15 and 16 of the outer groove step of the step groove 10. On the other hand, as already mentioned above, the overall width 41 of the deflection guide 25 as a whole - i.e. not only in the region of its legs 28 and 36, but also in the region of its corner zone with the arcuate part of the deflection channel 26 - to the width 11 of the flat rectangular groove 9 matched.

The special training feature of the corner deflection 24 according to FIGS. 4 to 8 is that its deflection guide 25, together with the deflection member 27 and the drive rod piece 29, is held to a limited extent such that it can be displaced transversely to the faceplate 32 and the drive rod piece 29 which is guided longitudinally thereon.

The transverse displaceability of the deflection guide 25 together with the faceplate 39 relative to the faceplate 32 is brought about primarily by the crosswise interlocking hook or claw profiles 42 and 43. The transversely displaceable interaction of the deflection guide 25 with the faceplate 32 can also be optimized by a further transverse guide 47, which consists of a pin 48 formed on the outside of the leg 28 of the deflection guide and an elongated hole 49 which is located in the faceplate 32 (FIG. 4 and 5).

The transverse displaceability of the deflecting guide 25 or the deflecting member 27 accommodated therein relative to the drive rod piece 29, which is longitudinally displaceably guided on the faceplate 32, is ensured by means of coupling elements 50 and 51 which are displaceable but interlocking with one another. The coupling member 50 is located on the flexible deflection member 27, while the coupling member 51 is part of the drive rod piece 29.

The coupling elements 50 and 51 have mutually complementary, undercut guide profiles, e.g. T and C profiles or - as shown in Fig. 4 - dovetail profiles. This ensures that the coupling elements 50 and 51 cannot accidentally get out of mutual engagement when subjected to tensile and compressive forces.

In contrast, the face plate 32 together with the longitudinally movably driven connecting rod piece 29 as well as the locking member 30 and the coupling means 31 relative to the deflection guide 25 and the flexible deflection member 27, if necessary, either from the neutral central position according to FIG. 6 into a position shifted to the right according to FIG. 7 or a position shifted to the left according to FIG. 8, provided this requires an existing displacement position 23 between the longitudinal center planes 21-21 and 22-22 of the grooves 9 and 10 according to FIGS. 2 and 3.

Finally and for the sake of completeness, it is also noted that the leg 36 of the deflection guide 25 can be provided on the outside with a threaded nipple 52 or the like, which allows the attachment of a further fitting part, for example a latch engagement, for an adjacent upright spar 2a of the impacting wing or active wing 2 displaceable locking member, enables. To fix the position of the bolt engagement, it can have rear-side lugs or cams which positively engage in latching notches 53 on the longitudinal edges of the faceplate 32.

It should also not go unmentioned that in practice it is easily possible to manufacture the face plate 39 and the leg 36 of the angular deflection guide 25 as a one-piece or material-uniform molded part. The drive rod piece 37 can also be manufactured with the coupling means 38, for example, as a toothed slide, as a one-piece die-cast molded part made of suitable metal (brass, zinc, etc.). The drive rod piece 37 should engage at least at its end section connected to the deflection member 27 in a channel between two side webs, said side webs also being integrally formed on the inside of the leg 36 of the deflection guide 25.

Finally, it is also worth mentioning that at least on the outside of the faceplate 39, an overlap or locking plate 54 is guided so that it can be slid longitudinally to a limited extent, which overlap an adjoining faceplate (not shown) when it is pushed over the end of the faceplate 39. This overlap or locking plate 54 should have a downwardly open and slightly U-shaped or channel-shaped cross section, with which it can also encompass the longitudinal edges of the subsequent faceplate in a positive manner and consequently secure them against lateral evasion.
