Definitions

  • the invention relates to a supply unit.
  • Such supply units which have separate blowers on the one hand for engine cooling, on the other hand for the generator cooling and therefore operate with separate cooling air streams are known in emergency generators or mobile power generators, eg for outdoor work.
  • Known units of this kind for example after EP 12196039 A1 . US 5899174 . US 5642702 , are advantageously encapsulated to keep noisy operating noise from the work environment, so that the units are also used in residential areas and at night.
  • a particular application of such supply units relates to the transportation, especially in trucks that are used on long distances, with the cab increasingly serves as a residence during longer breaks, even for overnight stays. During these breaks, a cabin supply of electrical energy is required for the illumination of the driver's cab, for the operation of air conditioners, microwave cooking appliances, consumer electronics and the like.
  • the present invention has for its object to realize an encapsulated supply unit of the type mentioned with a particularly small volume with low environmental impact and to provide a sound particularly effective enclosure, which results in particularly high demands on the effectiveness of the interior cooling of the capsule.
  • a so-called double fan is provided on the crankshaft of the engine or its extension on the input side for the cooling air, where usually the engine fan is seated.
  • This comprises a so-called internal fan, which is arranged inside the motor housing and thus corresponds to the motor fan, and a so-called external fan, which is arranged outside of the unit housing and is provided for the capsule cooling on the outside of the unit housing.
  • the flow path for a first partial flow of the intake cooling air comprises a first supply air duct with a pipe socket which is connected to the interior of the unit housing adjacent the internal fan for the unit cooling.
  • a second supply air duct is provided as the flow path for a second partial flow of the sucked cooling air, which comprises a wall opening, which is arranged close to the outer fan for the capsule cooling.
  • the cooling air flow passes directly to the central intake opening of the external fan and is blown radially from there and flows around the outside of the unit housing.
  • the pipe socket of the first supply air duct runs in the axial direction of the unit within the wall opening of the second supply air duct and within the central intake opening of the outdoor fan.
  • the wall of the pipe socket acts on the one hand as an outer boundary of the supply air duct for the first partial flow, on the other hand as an inner boundary for the supply air duct of the second partial flow, i. Both partial streams arrive in separate channels directly in front of the respective fan rotors.
  • a common supply air duct on the exhaust air side is provided for both partial flows a common exhaust duct inside the capsule for both partial flows.
  • Zu Kunststoffschacht is conveniently an oil cooler for the engine and / or to be cooled electrical components of the generator; in the exhaust duct the engine muffler is expediently arranged, with other hot components of the exhaust system can also find room in the exhaust duct. Because of this advantageous exhaust air duct and an extension of the engine muffler is possible directly on the engine.
  • Both fan units are expediently designed as a radial fan, wherein the cooling flow of the inner fan, the motor housing inside, the cooling flow of the outer fan flows through the capsule on the outside of the unit housing and wherein both cooling flows are substantially rectified.
  • an advantageous embodiment according to the invention is that the first supply air duct is within the is arranged second and that both supply air ducts are connected to the common supply air shaft.
  • the first supply air duct is attached to a separate externally mountable wall part of the capsule.
  • the complete supply unit according to the FIGS. 1 and 2 is installed in a closed capsule 1 whose walls are made of sheet steel with an insulating layer (not shown) on the inside.
  • the unit housing 3 is relatively closely clad by intermediate walls, namely a bottom 6 of the suction duct 22a, a left short side wall 8 above the unit housing 3 and a lower bottom wall 9, also shown in section.
  • further intermediate walls can be provided on the front and back to additionally channel the cooling air, wherein the intermediate walls below the unit housing 3 to an exhaust duct 10 are open.
  • the exhaust duct 10 is the housing interior limited by a lateral partition 11. Between this and the left capsule wall 12, the exhaust air rises and exits the exhaust duct 10 through the exhaust grille 13th
  • a supply air duct 15 with a supply air grid 16 On the supply air side is located above a floor panel 14, a supply air duct 15 with a supply air grid 16. The sucked from the surrounding supply air is sucked by a double fan assembly consisting of an external fan 17 and a dashed lines, arranged inside the unit housing 3 inside fan 18.
  • the inner fan 18 is connected with its central intake bore via a pipe socket 19 with a first supply air duct 20 with side wall 20 a, which is open to the intake duct 15.
  • the outdoor fan 17 is connected via a wall opening 21 with a second supply air duct 22, which also opens into the supply air duct 15.
  • a first partial flow according to arrow 24 flows through the first supply air duct 20 and further through the pipe socket 19 into the interior of the unit housing 3 and of there continue on the aggregates of the diesel engine 4 and those of the generator 5 down. He exits as warmed up exhaust air according to arrow 25 on the underside of the unit housing 3 and leaves from there via the exhaust duct 10 and through the exhaust grille 13, the capsule.
  • a second partial flow according to arrow 26 flows through the second supply air duct 22 and passes through the opening 21 in the bottom plate in front of the suction opening of the outer fan 17. This generates a radial air flow on the top of the unit housing 3, from where the second partial flow through the lateral partition walls according to Arrows 27, 28 is deflected down to flow on the outer sides of the unit housing 3 down and passes from there according to arrows 29 also in the exhaust duct 10, where the second partial flow combined with the first partial flow and as exhaust air through the exhaust grille 13 exit.
  • the first supply air duct 20 is formed with its channel walls on the underside of a removable housing plate 30. When the housing plate 30 is mounted, the first supply air duct 20 is located within the housing walls of the second supply air duct 22, through which the second partial flow according to arrows 26 flows.
