Definitions
- Locking lever releases the displacement of the cover element in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
- the invention has for its object to provide a vehicle roof of the aforementioned type, whose control mechanism is compact and allows a secure opening operation with respect to the movement of the lid member.
- a vehicle roof of the type mentioned in the introduction in which the control mechanism has a drive carriage connected to a drive cable, a rear deployment lever which is articulated to the cover element in the region of its rear edge, a front deployment lever which is located on the cover element in the region whose front edge is articulated, and comprises a coupling lever which is rotatably connected to the front opening lever, cooperates with the drive spouts and in a release position relative to the drive carriage in the vehicle longitudinal direction is displaceable.
- the release lever can be guided in slot-shaped, extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction recesses of the fixed roof area. During the displacement in the slot-shaped recesses, the deployment lever can deform and displace an elastic rubber seal of the relevant slot-shaped recess.
- An externally running sunroof may also be part of a so-called fixed-element convertible, in which a sunroof function initially allows a partial opening of the roof before the entire roof moves into a storage space and thereby releases the entire interior upwards.
- the vehicle roof according to the invention is mirror-symmetrical with respect to the vehicle longitudinal center plane, so that it has mutually corresponding control mechanisms on both sides of the declutching element.
- the vehicle roof according to the invention is carried out for pivoting the lid member from a S ⁇ h Strukturgnally in a ventilation position only one exhibition of the rear deployment lever. Due to the relative displaceability of the coupling Lungshebels and the drive carriage in this case the front release lever is decoupled in terms of a deployment movement substantially from the drive carriage.
- the rear link path for controlling the pivoting movement of the rear deployment lever is formed on the drive carriage.
- the pivotal movement of the rear deployment lever is thus independent of the formation of further components of the vehicle roof.
- the front slide track which controls the pivoting movement of the front opening lever, is designed to be fixed to the roof, wherein it opens into a guide track of the relevant guide rail.
- a relative movement between the drive slide and the coupling lever in the vehicle longitudinal direction is preferably blocked during the sliding operation.
- a relative movement between the front and the rear deployment lever is locked.
- the offset of the coupling lever when issuing the rear deployment lever is preferably controlled by a roof-fixed locking link into which a locking pin formed on the coupling lever engages, which secures the front release lever in the vehicle longitudinal direction and thus the cover element against undesired shifting when the cover element is issued and is guided during displacement of the cover element in a guide track of the guide rail and secures the coupling lever against pivoting.
- the pivotal movement of the coupling lever is preferably effected by a displacement of the drive carriage and by means of a control track.
- the control track is formed on the coupling lever and provided with a rear locking portion in which a pin of Antriebss ⁇ hlittens is arranged when moving the lid member.
- the locking portion of the control track is preferably substantially vertically aligned so that the pin of the drive carriage rests against an edge of the locking portion and so can transmit a tensile or compressive movement on the coupling lever and thus on the front deployment lever.
- the control track can also be designed in a corresponding manner on the drive carriage, the pin then being formed on the coupling lever.
- the connection between these two components is preferably in the region of a front carriage member, which is guided in the respective guide rail.
- the slide element can also serve as a connecting component in a special embodiment, so that then the coupling lever and the release lever are each hinged to the carriage element.
- cover element carrier may also be designed in several parts, so that the front release lever is hinged to one part and the rear deployment lever is articulated to another part of the cover element carrier.

- FIG. 8 shows a view corresponding to FIG. 7 of the control mechanism, but in the fan position of the cover element
- FIG. 11 is a view corresponding to FIG. 10 of the control mechanism, but in the ventilation position of the cover element; FIG. and
- FIG. 12 shows a view corresponding to FIG. 10 of the control mechanism, but during the displacement of the cover element.
- a motor vehicle 10 which is designed as a passenger car and having a vehicle roof 12 according to the invention.
- the vehicle roof 12 comprises a front cowl 14 which delimits a roof opening 16 at the front, which can be optionally closed or at least partially released by means of a movable cover element 18.
- a solid Da ⁇ habites 20 connects at the back.
- the front cowl 14, the Da ⁇ hö réelle 16 and the rear fixed roof section 20 are of lateral, in vehicle limited longitudinally extending roof side rails 22A and 22B.
- the cover element 18 is embodied as an externally running sunroof lid, which is therefore initially exposed on opening with its trailing edge and brought into a ventilation position and can subsequently be moved over the rear fixed roof section 20.
- the cover element 16 is guided on both sides in lateral guide rails 24A and 24B extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
- the guide rails 24A and 24B are each covered at least in their laterally adjacent to the rear fixed roof portion 20 areas of a seal not shown here, which escapes during operation of the cover member 16 described below functional elements of a control mechanism for the cover member 16, based on the figures 3 to 12 is described in more detail.
- the drive carriage 26 cooperates with a rear deployment lever 32, which is pivotably connected in the region of a rear edge 34 of the cover element 18 to the cover element 18.
