Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement with a vacuum chamber, which has a chamber flange, and a vacuum pump, which has a arranged in a rotor housing, fast-rotating rotor and a pump flange.
- Vacuum pumps with high-speed rotors store high energies due to the high rotational frequency of the rotor.
- rotor-stator crash there is contact between rotor and stator.
- These high energies are pump components such.
- the rotation of the pump in such a rotor-stator crash must be avoided as this creates a risk of injury to persons and damage to the system is expected. As a result of this rotation of the pump may also lead to leakage or tearing of the pump.
- toxic gases are sometimes pumped, which then leads to contamination of the environment. If the system leaks, the current process of the user is influenced so much that it usually has to be aborted. This results in costs that can reach very high amounts in large processes, for example in the semiconductor industry.
- the vacuum pumps are mounted with the high vacuum flange on pipe components, slides or directly to the recipient.
- the vacuum pumps are mounted with the high vacuum flange on pipe components, slides or directly to the recipient.
- the flanges of the recipients and pipe components are usually not able to take the high moments.
- vacuum pumps can also be fastened to the floor in addition to the flange, which can lead to tensioning of the pump or the slide due to non-aligned attachment points, so that trouble-free operation is not ensured.
- the US 2005/029417 A1 describes an arrangement with vacuum chamber and vacuum pump whose connection is secured by fixing brackets with teeth.
- EP 1 341 291 A1 an arrangement with a vacuum chamber and a vacuum pump, in which the connecting surfaces between the vacuum chamber and the vacuum pump have an increased coefficient of friction.
- the object of the invention is to provide an arrangement with a vacuum pump with fast-rotating rotor, in which in the case of a rotor-stator crash, a secure connection of the vacuum pump and the vacuum chamber is ensured.
- the dependent claims 2 to 6 represent advantageous developments.
- the core idea of the invention is to provide, in addition to the flange connection between the vacuum pump and the vacuum chamber by torque-proof securing means, a further connection via which a reliable dissipation of the torques occurring in a rotor-stator crash takes place.
- the securing means engage the rotor housing, whereby the disadvantages of ground mounting are avoided.
- the torques are instead recorded directly at the place of origin.
- an intermediate component is arranged, for example a valve component. There will also be a need to be able to retrofit existing equipment.
- the torque sink comprises a support structure of the vacuum chamber. This is due to their dimensions and for the lever relevant dimensions very good to take high torques.
- a first, unclaimed embodiment shows Fig. 1 , On a support structure 9, a vacuum chamber 1 is mounted, which has a chamber flange 3.
- Vacuum chamber and support structure are connected to each other, for example by screwing or welding seams.
- the support structure stands on a floor 8, for example the floor of a factory, a laboratory or the like. It can be fixed to the ground.
- a vacuum pump 2 has a pump flange 4, which is detachably connected to the chamber flange. This compound is prepared by suitable means known in the art such as Created screws or clamps. These means are symbolized in the figures by vertical lines in the area of the flanges.
- the vacuum pump has a pump lower part 6, in which bearings, drive and the like are housed, and a rotor housing 5, which surrounds a high-speed rotor. This rotor is symbolized in the figures by a vertical line with four cross lines.
- the rotor housing has an integrally formed with him ring 11, which is connected by suitable means, such as screws 7, with a cross member 10 of the support structure.
- the torque-resistant securing means comprises the cross member 10, the screws 7 and the ring 11.
- the torque is no longer dissipated alone on the chamber flange and pump flange, but largely via the torque-resistant securing means to the support structure issued.
- tearing or leaking of the flange connection by rotation of the vacuum pump with respect to the vacuum chamber can be effectively prevented.
- the larger levers which have the securing means relative to the chamber flange. These levers are determined by the radii of flange or securing means.
- the support structure acts as a torque sink, since the torque is absorbed by it, without causing damage to the vacuum chamber, vacuum pump and in particular their connection.
- the chamber flange limits the maximum torque to be counteracted and thus the rotor size and speed. This limit can be exceeded by the invention.
- an embodiment of the invention shows Fig. 2 ,
- an intermediate component 12 is arranged, which has a ring 11 ', which is connected to the cross member 10 of the support structure 9.
- the connection of the flanges of the intermediate component and the vacuum pump must be such that it can transmit the torques occurring in the event of a rotor-stator crash. This is easier to ensure than to design the chamber flange accordingly, since the intermediate component and the vacuum pump can be built by the manufacturer of the vacuum pump, which can calculate the torques occurring or determine them experimentally.
- the torque is delivered to the acting as a torque sink support structure.
- FIG. 3 She is opposite the Fig. 2 changed so that between the intermediate member 12 and the vacuum chamber another element is arranged.
- this is a slide valve 37, which is characterized in the drawing by a corresponding symbol of the vacuum technique.
- This gate valve makes it possible to separate the gas connection between the vacuum pump and the vacuum chamber.
- the intermediate member from a ring 11 'from which is connected to the torque sink.
- This structure makes it possible to use a slide valve, which is not designed mechanically strong enough to absorb the torques.
- the torque derivation on the torque sink via the arranged between the slide valve and the vacuum pump intermediate member.
- the arranged between the vacuum chamber and intermediate member element may be in a favorable development, a damping body. These have due to their decoupling structure only a low mechanical stability.
- slide valve 37 and intermediate member 12 are made in one piece.
- An advantage of the embodiments according to the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 is that existing systems can also be subsequently carried out safely. Should the Safety against a rotor-stator crash during construction of the vacuum chamber have been neglected, the system can be subsequently secured by the intermediate member and the coupling via a torque-proof securing means to a torque sink.
- Fig. 4 shows an unclaimed alternative for the design of the torque-proof securing means. Shown in this figure is a section through a part of the arrangement, which here has vacuum pump and vacuum chamber.
- the illustrated embodiment of the securing means can of course also to the developments according to the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 be applied.
- Shown are the rotor disks 30, which are part of the rotor and the stator disks 31 facing them.
- the stator disks are held by spacer rings 32 at an axial distance such that between the stator disks, the rotor disks can rotate freely and without contact. In a rotor-stator crash, these discs come into contact so that the rotation of the rotor is stopped.
- the contact can come about, for example, by an unplanned introduction of a foreign body in the vacuum pump to conditions. By stopping the disks are usually very much deformed, whereby already a part of the rotational energy is converted. The remainder is delivered to the rotor housing 5.
- the vacuum pump has a pump flange 4, which is detachably connected to the chamber flange 3 by means of known clamping screws 33.
- the rotor housing has a ring 11 which surrounds it at least on a part of the circumference.
- a screw 36 makes a frictional connection to a support 34 which is attached to the vacuum chamber with a weld 35. This connection can also be made by a screw connection.
- the torque resistant securing means in this example includes the support 34, the screw 36, and the ring 11.
- the vacuum chamber acts as a torque sink in this example.

Description
JP 2004143999 A - Die

-
Fig. 1 : Anordnung mit Vakuumkammer und Vakuumpumpe. -
Fig. 2 : Anordnung mit Vakuumkammer, Vakuumpumpe und Zwischenbauteil. -
Fig. 3 : Anordnung mit Vakuumkammer, Vakuumpumpe, Zwischenbauteil und Schieberventil. -
Fig. 1 .
Fig. 2 .
Fig. 3 .
