- An aerial cableway installation having at least one endless hauling cable (1) which is guided over deflection sheaves (31 to 37) in the valley station and the mountain station, having movable transport units (2), such as cabins and chairs, couplable to the hauling cable (1) and constructed with running gear, and having guide rails (41, 42, 43) provided in the stations, along which the movable transport units (2) uncoupled from the hauling cable (1) may be displaced, characterised in that in at least one of the stations two elevator wheels (61, 62) rotatable about at least approximately horizontally oriented axes are provided, by means of which the movable transport units (2) may be moved between an upper level in the station and a lower level in the station and in that at the upper level and at the lower level the guide rails (41, 42, 43) adjoin the elevator wheels (61, 62), the movable transport units (2) uncoupled from the hauling cable (1) being fed at the upper level of the station along a first guide rail (41) to a first elevator wheel (61), by means of which they are moved from the upper level to the lower level, whereupon they are moved along the second guide rail (42) provided at the lower level through the boarding and/or alighting area (2) for passengers and are moved to the second elevator wheel (61), by means of which they are conveyed back to the upper level, at which they are moved along the third guide rail (43) to the hauling cable (1) and subsequently coupled thereto.

- An aerial cableway installation according to claim 2, characterised in that in the stations the outer run (11) and the inner run (12) of a first pair are guided over at least one deflection sheave (31, 32, 33, 34; 35, 36, 37) and develop into the outer run (14) or the inner run (13) respectively of the second pair.
- An aerial cableway installation according to claim 4, characterised in that some of the deflection sheaves (32, 33, 36), which are at least approximately vertically oriented, are loaded with balance weights (30).
- An aerial cableway installation according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the at least approximately vertically oriented elevator wheels (61, 62) are provided with suspension bars (71), into which the movable transport units (2) may be inserted and which are rotatable relative to the elevator wheels (61, 62) during rotation of the elevator wheels (61, 62) for movement thereof between the upper and lower levels.
- An aerial cableway installation according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the movement path of the movable transport units (2) at the lower level of the station is located in plan view between the area of uncoupling or coupling of the movable transport units (2) respectively from or onto the hauling cable (1) and the two elevator wheels (61, 62).
- An aerial cableway installation according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that groups of drive rollers (63) are associated with the two elevator wheels (61, 62).
- An aerial cableway installation according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the front end of the second guide rail (41) may be swivelled by means of an actuator (44).
- A method of operating an aerial cableway installation according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that movable transport units (2), in particular cableway cabins, uncoupled from the hauling cable (1) in a station are moved along a first guide rail (41) to a first elevator wheel (61), by means of which they are moved from an upper level of the station to a lower level of the station, whereupon the movable transport units (2) at the lower level are moved along a second guide rail (42) through a boarding and alighting area (20) for the passengers and then to a second elevator wheel (62), by means of which they are moved back to the upper level, in which they are moved along a third guide rail (43) to the hauling cable (1) and subsequently coupled thereto.
