Hierdurch wird für die Passagiere beim Besteigen bzw. beim Verlassen der Fahrbetriebsmittel jeglicher Stress vermieden.

A method of operating an aerial cableway installation having a valley station and at least one mountain station as well as movable transport units (2) movable between these stations, which movable transport units (2) may be moved in the stations along a guide rail (3) by means of conveying means, such as conveying wheels, associated with said guide rail through a first boarding or alighting area (61) for the passengers, at least one further guide rail (32) branching off from the guide rail (3) by way of at least one set of points (42), along which further guide rail (32) movable transport units (2) may be moved likewise by means of conveying means through at least one second boarding and alighting area (62), a control unit (7) being provided, by which the sets of points (41 to 44a) are controlled, in order to deliver the movable transport units (2) to the boarding and alighting areas (61 to 64), characterised in that in the boarding and alighting areas (61 to 64) sensors (71 to 74) are provided, whose outputs are applied to the control unit (7), the sets of points (41 to 44a) and the conveying means being controlled by the control unit (7) in such a way that the movable transport units (2) are moved through the boarding and alighting areas (61 to 64) as a function of the needs arising in said areas.
  2. A method according to claim 1, characterised in that at least three boarding and alighting areas (61 to 64) are provided, through which the movable transport units (2) may be moved as desired along guide rails (31 to 34).
  3. A method according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that entry barriers (81 to 84) associated with the boarding and alighting areas (61 to 64) are also controlled by the control unit (7).
  4. A method according to claim 3, characterised in that sensors (91 to 94) are in each case associated with the entry barriers (81 to 84), the output signals from which sensors (91 to 94) are likewise transmitted to the control unit (7).
  5.   6. An aerial cableway installation according to claim 5, characterised in that entry barriers (81 to 84) controlled by the control unit (7) are in each case associated with the boarding and alighting areas (61 to 64).
  7. An aerial cableway installation according to claim 6, characterised in that sensors (91 to 94) are in each case associated with the entry barriers (81 to 84), the output signals from which sensors (91 to 94) are likewise transmitted to the control unit (7).
