Abstract

The system has rotatable uplifting wheels (61, 62) provided in one of stations, and a drive operating unit (2) movable between upper and lower planes by the wheels. Guide rails (41-43) are attached to the wheels and the operating unit is attached to one of the wheels so that the unit is moved from one plane to the other plane. The unit is moved along one of the rails through entrance and/or exit area (20) for passengers and into the other wheel so that the unit is re-guided into the upper plane in which the unit is moved along a third guide rail and is connected to the third rail. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a cable car system.
