Definitions
- the invention relates to a door handle arrangement in the trunk lid of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Modern motor vehicles are equipped with locking systems that are very complex both in terms of their geometry and their mode of operation.
- these locking systems which also include the door handle arrangements, move mechanical parts in several directions. Due to the often tight installation in connection with functional components arranged in the vicinity, for example third brake lights or license plate lights, it can result in individual components of the door handle arrangement, due to their movement, coming into undesired contact with supply lines which are laid in the area of the door handle arrangement. This contact could permanently damage the mechanics of the door handle arrangement on the one hand, or on the other hand damage the supply lines, which can consist of electrical lines or mechanical actuation devices.
- the object of the invention is to provide a door handle arrangement which is suitable for contacting supply lines with mechanical components of the To prevent door handle arrangement, such as handle flap or handle flap housing.
- the door handle arrangement according to claim 1 is arranged in the rear lid of a motor vehicle, it comprises a handle flap housing which carries a handle flap, the handle flap housing being mounted on a stepped shoulder of the rear lid.
- the handle flap is designed so that it is accessible from the outside.
- the invention is characterized in that the door handle arrangement is surrounded laterally and from above by a portal-shaped protective cover and that the protective cover is detachably attached to the boot lid.
- the portal-shaped protective cover takes over the lateral protection and the protection from above, whereby supply lines can either be laid above or to the side of the protective covers or can be attached to the protective cover.
- the protective cover in the end region of portal posts, which form the side cover of the door handle arrangement has portal feet, which in turn serve to vertically fix the protective cover in the region of the step heel.
- the portal feet have another design U-shaped bends, which encompass a body panel, which in turn can be part of the step heel.
- a further fixation of the protective cover can be done on an inner paneling on the top of the trunk lid. This is where the protective cover is fixed in the direction of travel (X direction). This acts as a counter fixation of the protective cover compared to the vertical fixation (Z direction) of the protective cover on the step heel.
- one or more fixing claws can be molded onto the protective cover.
- the protective cover may comprise elongated hollow cross sections for protecting functional components, which encloses these functional components on the trunk side.
- the protective cover in an integral component can protect other sensitive components, such as a third brake light, which includes, for example, a light-emitting diode array, or a license plate light, against moving cargo in the trunk.
- the protective cover can also protect the functional components from protruding cargo when the boot lid is closed.
- the protective cover can be arranged on the one hand separated from the door handle arrangement by the protective cover, or they can be attached to the protective cover by clips which are also arranged on the protective cover.
- it can be expedient to design the protective cover in the form of an integrated plastic component.
- all of the described embodiments of the invention can be represented in a simple manner by an injection molded component in plastic.
- FIG. 1 shows a door handle arrangement with a protective cover which is arranged in a trunk lid of a motor vehicle
- FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the protective cover
- FIG. 3 shows a top view of the protective cover
- FIG. 4 shows a front view of the protective cover
- FIG. 5 shows a sectional view of the protective cover Protective cover along the section CC from FIG. 3.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective illustration of a door handle arrangement 2 which is arranged in the region of a boot lid 4 and is fastened on a step 10 in a vertical boot lid region.
- the vertical tailgate area which surrounds the door handle arrangement 2 from the outside has been removed in the illustration according to FIG. 1 for a clear view of the door handle arrangement 2.
- the door handle arrangement 2 has a handle flap housing 8, which in turn carries a handle flap 6, which is accessible from the outside through an opening (not shown here) in the stepped shoulder 10.
- the handle flap housing 8 and its add-on parts, such as an actuating unit 9, are mounted on the stepped shoulder 10 in the boot lid 4.
- the grip flap housing 8 is surrounded by a portal-shaped protective cover 12.
- the protective cover 12 has a portal roof 13 which has a certain depth, as seen in the direction of travel, and which covers the grip flap housing 8 from above.
- the handle flap housing 8 is laterally enclosed by portal posts 14, which in turn merge into portal feet 16 in their end region.
- the portal feet 16 act as a vertical fixation of the protective cover 12 on the step 10.
- an elongated hollow cross section 24 is arranged above the portal roof 13, which in this embodiment serves to receive a third brake light 30.
- the elongated cavity cross section 24 is delimited on the trunk side by a rear wall 25, which in turn protects the third brake light 30 on the trunk side from the cargo.
- the boot lid is generally provided with a carpet, fabric or cardboard cladding from the inside, but this is not always sufficient to protect the third brake light 30, which is sensitive per se, from bulky goods, for example a golf club. In this embodiment of the invention, this protection takes over the protective cover 12 in a further function for its original protective effect of the door handle arrangement or of supply lines.
- the license plate lights 32 represent further, sensitive functional components, which in turn are protected by an elongated hollow cross section 26 in the protective cover 12.
- the elongated hollow cross sections 26 are in this case formed by the portal posts 14, each of which is widened. These elongated cavity cross sections 26 also cause ken a protective function of the license plate light 32 against cargo in the trunk.
- FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the protective cover 12, in which, in addition to the functional features described for FIG. 1, portal feet 16 are visible, which in turn have a U-shaped angled portion 18.
- the portal feet 16 are a roadway level designed substantially vertically.
- the portal feet 16 are approximately as wide as the elongated hollow cross-section 26 in which the license plate light 32 is mounted, the U-shaped bend 18 on the portal feet 16 also having approximately the same width.
- fixing claws 34 are attached to the perspective representation of the protective cover 12 in FIG. 2 and support the protective cover 12 on an inner paneling 22 (cf. FIG. 5) essentially in the direction of travel.
- the fixing claws 34 have in one end region special fixing lugs 35 or fixing webs 37 that are suitable for snapping the fixing claws 34 into the inner paneling 22.
- the section shown in FIG. 5 through the protective cover 12, which takes place along the section CC in FIG. 3, runs both through a fixing claw 34 and through a portal foot 16 with a U-shaped angled section 18.
- the U- Shaped bend 18 is pushed on the portal base 16 over a body panel 20, which in turn protrudes as an extension from the step 10 of the boot lid 4.
- the protective cover 12 is firmly but releasably connected to the stepped shoulder 10 of the boot lid via the U-shaped bends 18.
- the width of the U-shaped bend 18 in the region of the portal base 16 is preferably between see 40 and 100 mm.
- the wide overlap of the body panel 20 prevents or makes it more difficult for the protective cover 12 to slide sideways and the angle 18 to break off.
- the fixing claws 34 are fixed in the area of an inner paneling 22, which in turn is attached to an upper side of the trunk lid (not shown here).
- fixing lugs 35 engage under the inner paneling 22 and are engaged from their opposite side by means of fixing webs 37.
- the fixation which is illustrated in FIG. 5, thus acts in the Z direction by the U-shaped bends 18 on the portal feet and in the X direction by the fixing claws 34.
- a fixation in the Y direction takes place through various areas of the protective cover 12, for example through its lateral boundary 40 (cf. FIG. 4), which in turn abuts a planking of the rear cover 4, not shown here.
- the shifting of the protective cover 12 in the Y direction is achieved by two outer fixing claws 34, which also abut body panels.
- FIG. 3 is a top view of the protective cover 12, the clips 36, indicated by the dashed line, here being arranged below the fixing claw 34. This is an arrangement of the clips 36 which is stimulated by the special embodiment.
- the clips 36 can in principle be arranged on all expedient areas of the protective cover 12. In principle, it is also conceivable that the supply lines 38 run freely and, for example, above the portal roof 13. are ordered and are therefore also protected against movements of the door handle arrangement.
