Definitions
- the invention relates to an automatic teller machine with a plurality of banknote cassettes for receiving banknotes to be issued, the banknote cassettes being arranged one behind the other in the vertical position in a horizontal row, with the withdrawal and separating devices assigned to the banknote cassettes, with a stacking device for forming a bundle of banknotes to be issued, with a single sheet transport device for transporting individual banknotes from the withdrawal and separating devices to the stacking device, with a collective transport device for transporting a bundle of banknotes from the stacking device to an output compartment of the cash dispenser and with a return cassette with a reject compartment for receiving not for output incoming banknotes, the individual transport device being selectively connectable to an entry opening of the return cassette or the stacking device.
- the return cassette is usually arranged in such a way that banknotes that are not to be paid out, in particular double deductions, are fed in the area of the single sheet transport device by switching a switch, not the stacking device but the inlet opening of the return cassette.
- a switch not the stacking device but the inlet opening of the return cassette.
- the invention is based on the object of designing an automated teller machine of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it is also possible with simple means to transport a bundle of banknotes from the dispensing slot back into the return cassette.
- the return cassette has at least one separate bundle compartment separate from the reject compartment for receiving a bundle of banknotes that has been withdrawn from the dispensing slot, that the collective transport device can be switched in its transport direction, and that the collective transport device is optionally selectable via a switchable branch with egg- ner entry opening of the bundle receiving compartment is connectable.
- the collective transport device is designed as a belt transport with two belt sections, each of which comprises endless belts which are guided over drive and support rollers and are intended for abutment on the opposite flat sides of a bundle of banknotes, that one of the belt sections at a branch point into a section on the output side and in a stacker side It is subdivided that the branch point is connected to the entry opening of the bundle receiving compartment via a branch transport device and that in the region of the branch point the endless belt of at least one belt section is designed to be at least semi-elastic and can be deflected in such a way that it can either use the branch transport device or the section on the output side of the interrupted belt section connects to the forklift section of the belt section.
- switching from one transport route to the other in the collective transport device is thus achieved by a belt deflection.
- the respective endless belt is deflected, for example, by means of an adjustable support roller.
- the support roller can, for example, be mounted on a lever arm of a lever which can be pivoted about a fixed axis, the other lever arm of which is guided on a cam track of a switching cam.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic side view of a banknote cassette module with stacking and transport devices
- Figure 2 is an enlarged detail view of the branch point within the collective transport device in a first position connecting the stacking device with the output slot and
- FIG. 3 shows a view corresponding to FIG. 2 of the branch point of the collective transport device in a second position connecting the output slot with the bundle receiving compartment of the return cassette.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically a generally designated 10 cartridge module, which can be inserted as a whole in a drawer, not shown, with which it is in the Safe of a cash dispenser can be inserted and pulled out again. Only part 12 of the housing with an optional dispensing compartment 14 is indicated by the automated teller machine. An output slot 16 in the housing 12 can be closed by a flap 18.
- the banknote cassette module 10 comprises a plurality of banknote cassettes 20, which are arranged one behind the other in the vertical position or in the installed position in the horizontal direction.
- the banknote cassettes 20 therefore each contain a vertical banknote stack 22, from which the bottom banknote 24 can be pulled down with the aid of a schematically indicated separating device 26.
- the banknotes thus separated are transported by means of an individual transport, generally designated 28, to a stacking device 30, in which a bundle of banknotes is formed from the individual banknotes on a contact surface 32. This is transported to the output slot 16 with the aid of a collection and output transport, generally designated 34, and offered to the customer for removal.
- a return cassette 36 which is usually also referred to as a reject / retract cassette. It contains a first compartment or reject compartment 38 with an inlet opening 40, in front of which transport rollers 42 are arranged.
- Individual bank notes which have been drawn off from the separating devices 26 are transported via a first transport branch 44 of the single sheet transport 28 to a switch 46, from which they can be guided to the stacking device 30 via a second branch 48 of the single sheet transport 28.
- the switch 46 By switching the switch 46, the single sheets can also be fed to the transport rollers 42 and conveyed by them into the reject compartment 38.
- the reject compartment 38 is for Determination of the individual banknotes determined, which should not be issued for certain reasons. In most cases, these are multiple deductions, ie related single banknotes that could not be separated properly during the separation.
- bundle receiving compartments 52 and 54 are provided within the return container 36 above the reject compartment 38 and separated from it by a partition 50.
- a flap 58 is pivotally articulated, which is adjustable between the position represented by a solid line and the position represented by a broken line.
- These bundle receiving compartments 52 and 54 serve to receive bundles of banknotes that were offered to a customer in the receiving slot 16 but were not removed by the latter. After a certain predetermined waiting time, such a bundle of banknotes is drawn in again. Since it has already been charged to the customer account, this money must be kept separate from the individual banknotes stored in the reject compartment 38 so that it can be assigned to the customer and credited.
- the collection and output transport 34 is designed as a belt transport with two belt sections 60, 62, between which a bundle of banknotes can be transported.
- the first belt section 60 comprises a first endless belt 64, which is guided over two deflection rollers 66, 68 and various support rollers, which are not named in more detail.
- a second endless belt 70 which is guided over deflection rollers 72 and 74 and a support roller 76.
- a third endless belt 78 runs over a deflection roller 80 which is coaxial with the deflection roller 74 and a deflection roller 82 close to the output slot 16, as well as further support rollers, which are not described in more detail.
- the second belt section 62 comprises an endless belt 84 which is guided over two deflection rollers 86 and 88 and a support roller 90 so that it abuts the endless belt 64 and part of the endless belt 70 and forms a conveyor gap for a bundle of banknotes together with these belts.
- the route formed by the endless belt 84 is followed by a further endless belt 92, which loops around a roller 94 coaxial with the deflection roller 90 and a deflection roller 96 and cooperates in a short distance with the endless belt 70 of the first belt routes 60 for conveying a bundle of banknotes.
- the second belt section 62 comprises a third endless belt 98, which is guided on the one hand via a deflection roller 100 close to the discharge gap 16 and on the other hand via a deflection roller 102 close to the take-back container 36 and a number of support rollers (not described in more detail).
- the endless belt 98 interacts with the endless belt 78 and the endless belt 70 for conveying bundles of banknotes.
- the endless belts 98 and 70 are each semi-elastic, so that they are stretched to a certain extent and so that can be deflected. Both belts each run over a switching roller 104 or 106.
- the switching roller 104 is rotatably mounted on one lever arm of a two-armed lever 108, which is pivotably mounted about an axis 110 fixed to the device and carries a cam follower 112 at the end of its other lever arm a cam track 114 is guided, for example under spring pressure.
- the switching roller 106 over which the endless belt 70 runs, is rotatably mounted on the one lever arm of a two-armed lever 116, which can be pivoted about an axis 118 fixed to the device and carries a cam follower 120 at the end of its other lever arm, which also carries the cam track 114 is performed.
- the cam track 114 is formed on a switching cam 124 which can be rotated about an axis 122.
- Figure 2 shows a position of the switching cam 124 and the switching rollers 104, 106, in which the endless belt 70 is deflected only slightly, the switching roller 104, however, deflects the endless belt 98 to such an extent that the switching roller 104 is in the immediate vicinity of the deflection roller 96, via which the Endless belt 92 is guided. This provides a continuous transport path from the stacking device 30 to the output gap 16.
- the switching roller 104 is pivoted in such a way that the endless belt 98 is practically not deflected, so that it is almost straight from the deflection roller 80 of the endless belt 78 to the deflection roller 102 extends.
- the switching roller 106 is pivoted into the vicinity of a deflection roller 126 which, together with a second deflection roller 128 close to the deflection roller 102, serves to guide an endless belt 130.
- This endless belt 130 forms, together with the section of the endless belt 98 opposite it, a branch transport which Rather, in the position of the switching rollers 104 and 106 shown in FIG.
- the transport path between the endless belts 98 on the one hand and 78 and 70 on the other continues in the direction of the return container 36. It can be seen that the switching rollers 104 and 106 form a switch due to the deflection of the endless belts 98 and 70, which the transport path of the collective transport 34 leading from the stacking device 30 to the receiving compartment 14 after reversing the direction of travel of the endless belts 70, 78 and 98 to one of can switch the receiving compartment 14 to the return cassette 36 transport route.
- the flap 58 is in the position shown by a solid line. In this position, the flap 58 guides a bundle of banknotes conveyed by the branch transport into the first bundle receiving compartment 52. The flap 58 then goes into the position shown by a broken line. Should a further bundle of banknotes be withdrawn, this slides over the flap 58 into the second bundle receiving compartment 54.
