The cleaning head has a cleaning tool, with the aid of which the surface can be mechanically cleaned. In addition, the surface cleaning device can be supported on the surface to be cleaned by means of the cleaning tool.

Object of the present invention is to provide a surface cleaning device of the type mentioned in such a way that it has a simplified handling when moving along a surface and allows effective surface cleaning.

This object is achieved by a surface cleaning device having the features of patent claim 1.

The surface cleaning device according to the invention has a good cleaning effect, since the cleaning liquid can be applied under pressure to the surface to be cleaned. Under the high pressure of the cleaning liquid, the surface can be effectively cleaned. Here, the nozzle can be moved along virtually the same distance on the surface to be cleaned, the surface cleaning device can be moved by means of the support means in a simple manner to the surface to be cleaned, like a vacuum cleaner. For this purpose, the surface cleaning device is designed like a stick, the focus of the surface cleaning device may be located at a distance from the cleaning head end facing away from the stem and the cleaning head end facing away from the stem can serve as a handle to the user, where he can take the surface cleaning device. The surface cleaning device comprises not only the stem held cleaning head with at least one nozzle, but in addition also driven by a drive motor pump, with the help of the cleaning fluid can be pressurized. The pump and motor are rigidly connected to the handle.

According to the invention, the pressure pump in combination with the drive motor forms a pressure generating unit whose center of gravity is arranged at a distance of a maximum of 0.6 meter from the at least one nozzle of the cleaning head.

By means of the surface cleaning device according to the invention cleaning liquid can be applied under pressure to the surface to be cleaned. According to the invention, the cleaning liquid from the pressure pump under a pressure of more than 30 bar, in particular a pressure of at least 70 bar are set. Thus, for example, be provided that the pressure pump is designed as a high-pressure pump, by means of which the cleaning liquid is displaceable under a pressure of at least 80 bar.

The cleaning head according to the invention has a splash guard, which engages over the at least one nozzle and has a liquid discharge opening. It is advantageous if the liquid discharge opening in the circumferential direction is at least partially surrounded by a flexible splash guard. This can be ensured in a structurally simple manner that only the area covered by the liquid discharge opening area of the surface to be cleaned with cleaning liquid is applied.

It is particularly advantageous if the pressure pump is arranged offset in the direction of the cleaning head to the switching element. It has been found that thereby the handling of the surface cleaning device can be further simplified.

Das Schaltorgan ist bevorzugt am Stiel gehalten. The switching element is preferably held on a stem.

In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the pressure pump is arranged next to the cleaning head. This has the consequence that the center of gravity of the surface cleaning device is also positioned in the vicinity of the cleaning head. As a result, the surface cleaning device can be moved in a particularly simple manner by hand on the surface to be cleaned, without the user being heavily burdened by the weight of the surface cleaning device.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the pressure pump is arranged on the cleaning head, in particular it can be provided that the pressure pump is integrated into the cleaning head.

The switching element, with the aid of which the admission of the surface to be cleaned with liquid can be controlled, is held in a preferred embodiment in the region of the end facing away from the cleaning head of the stem.

A particularly simple handling is achieved in an advantageous embodiment, characterized in that the switching member comprises a shift lever. In particular, it can be provided that the switching device is designed pistol-like with a handle on which the shift lever is pivotally mounted. The user can thereby use the surface cleaning device with a Hand along the surface to be cleaned and control by means of the shift lever, the liquid discharge in a simple manner.

It is advantageous if the switching element is designed as a manually operable check valve, which is connected via a guided along the stem and connectable to a supply line to the pressure pump in flow communication. With the help of the check valve, the user can easily control the supply of liquid to the pressure pump.

It is advantageous if the supply line is passed through the handle. The surface cleaning device thus has a particularly compact design and is characterized by a high mechanical strength.

It can be provided that in the region of the end facing away from the cleaning head of the stem, a connecting element is arranged for connection of a supply hose through which the surface cleaning device cleaning liquid, preferably water, can be supplied.

The drive of the pressure pump can be done for example by means of a held on a stem combustion engine or held on a stem electric motor. In particular, when using an electric motor, it is advantageous if it is controllable by means of the switching element. This has the advantage that the user can not only control the supply of cleaning fluid to the pressure pump by operating the switching element, but it can also switch the electric motor on and off by means of the switching element at the same time. Preferably, the electric motor is controllable in dependence on the flow of the cleaning fluid supplied to the pressure pump. For this purpose, it is advantageous if the electric motor is connected to a switching element which is coupled to a flow sensor. The latter can be designed, for example, in the form of a piston plunging into the supply line, which is moved in the presence of a flow in the supply line against an elastic restoring force for actuating an electromechanical switch for switching on the electric motor. If the flow is interrupted in the supply line by means of the switching element, so the piston moves automatically under the action of the elastic restoring force so far that the electromechanical switch is actuated again and in this case the electric motor is turned off.

It is advantageous if the electric motor can be cooled by the cleaning fluid. The waste heat of the electric motor can be dissipated in a simple manner. Thus, for example, be provided that the electric motor has a housing which can be flowed around by the cleaning liquid.

Der Elektromotor ist vorzugsweise tauchwasserfest ausgestaltet. The electric motor is preferably designed dive water resistant.

The power supply of the electric motor can be done via an electrical connection cable. Alternatively or additionally, it may be provided that the surface cleaning device has a rechargeable power supply unit. This has the advantage that the use of the surface cleaning device is not dependent on the accessibility to an electrical power supply.

As already explained, the surface cleaning device u. a. characterized in that the cleaning liquid can be applied by means of at least one nozzle under pressure to the surface to be cleaned. For this purpose, the cleaning head can have, for example, at least one flat jet nozzle and / or at least one spot jet nozzle. It is advantageous if the cleaning head comprises a pendulum hose device with a pendulum-mounted hose, at whose free end a nozzle is held. If the pendulum hose device is supplied with excess pressure by means of the pressure pump cleaning fluid, then the hose performs a pendulum motion and this covers the area to be cleaned in the region of the cleaning head. The nozzle held on the hose can be configured as a spot jet nozzle, so that a spot beam can be directed to the surface, which has a particularly high cleaning effect, but applied by the oscillating storage of the hose despite using a Punktstrahldüse within a short time a considerable area with liquid can be. It can also be used at least one pivotally mounted nozzle, for example, the nozzle can be mounted pivotably about an aligned perpendicular to its outflow direction pivot axis, it is advantageous if the drive of the pivoting movement is carried out by the cleaning liquid.

Alternatively or additionally, it may be provided that the cleaning head comprises at least one rotor nozzle. Such rotor nozzles are known in the art. With their help, a point beam rotating on a conical surface can be generated.

It is particularly advantageous if the cleaning head has at least one spray arm which is rotatably mounted about a rotation axis and carries at least one nozzle. The nozzle may in this case be oriented obliquely to the surface to be cleaned, so that the force acting on the nozzle during dispensing of the cleaning recoil drives the nozzle together with the spray arm to a circulation movement along a circular path. In this case, a plurality of spray arms can be used, each carrying at least one nozzle at its free end. Preferably, at least three spray arms are rotatably supported at a uniform distance from one another on a hollow shaft, via which the cleaning fluid from the pressure pump can be supplied to the nozzles.

The axis of rotation can be aligned perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned, so that when using multiple nozzles of all nozzles simultaneously cleaning liquid can be applied to the surface to be cleaned.

Alternatively it can be provided that the axis of rotation is oriented obliquely or parallel to the surface to be cleaned. This has the consequence that the at least one nozzle faces in its circulation movement only along a portion of the circular path of the surface to be cleaned. The surface can thereby be applied in strip form with a cleaning liquid jet, so that the surface is cleaned strip-shaped when the surface cleaning device is moved along the surface to be cleaned. The distance of the at least one nozzle to the surface to be cleaned can be kept very low, so that an intensive cleaning fluid jet can be directed to the surface.

It is particularly advantageous if the nozzle held on the spray arm can be fed non-uniformly during its circulation movement cleaning liquid, wherein the largest liquid supply takes place in alignment of the nozzle in the direction of the surface to be cleaned. The nozzle is at an oblique or parallel to the surface to be cleaned aligned rotation axis facing only along a portion of its orbital motion of the surface to be cleaned, while facing away in the remaining region of the orbital motion of the surface to be cleaned. If the nozzle cleaning liquid supplied non-uniform, it can be ensured in a simple manner that pressurized cleaning liquid is discharged via the nozzle practically only when it faces the surface to be cleaned. For example, it can be provided that a maximum amount of cleaning liquid can be fed to the nozzle via a first portion of its circulation movement facing the surface to be cleaned, while only a minimal amount of cleaning liquid is supplied to it via a second portion of its circulation movement facing away from the surface to be cleaned can be. In particular, it can be provided that during its second partial area no liquid can be supplied at all, so that the liquid supply to the nozzle is interrupted during its second part of the circulating movement. If several nozzles are used, the liquid supply to the nozzles can be carried out sequentially by supplying the respective nozzle with a large amount of cleaning liquid, which just faces the surface to be cleaned, while at this moment facing away from the surface to be cleaned with a smaller amount of cleaning fluid to be supplied.

For the design of the pressure pump so far no details have been made. It can be provided that the pressure pump is designed as a piston pump, for example as a radial piston pump.

It is particularly advantageous if at least one nozzle is held on a rotatably mounted spray arm of the cleaning head, wherein in the spray arm a reciprocating piston is mounted, which cooperates with an eccentric, wherein the cleaning liquid by means of the piston under pressure on the at least one Nozzle can be dispensed. This allows a particularly compact design of the pressure pump. Thus, for example, be provided that the cleaning head comprises three spray arms, which are fixed at a uniform angular distance from each other on a rotor housing which is rotatable about an axis of rotation and surrounds a non-rotatably held eccentric. Each spray arm can receive a reciprocating piston, which is biased by a return spring in the direction of the eccentric and - for example by means of a sliding shoe - slides along the peripheral surface of the eccentric. In this case, the pistons are driven to a reciprocating motion, so that by means of the piston cleaning fluid can be pressurized and directed via the nozzles on the surface to be cleaned. The supply of the cleaning liquid can take place via a hole extending coaxially to the axis of rotation of the rotor housing to the eccentric, and from this, the cleaning liquid can be passed to a through bore of the piston via a radially extending, in the circumferential direction only over a portion of the eccentric extending connecting channel. The circulating along the outer periphery of the eccentric piston are thus during a portion of their orbital movement via the connecting channel with the central bore in fluid communication, so that through the Piston through cleaning fluid can be supplied to the nozzles arranged at the free end of the spray arms. When the pistons reach the peripheral region of the eccentric, which is not detected by the radially extending connecting channel, the flow connection to the central bore is interrupted and the cleaning liquid is pressurized by the pistons moving in the direction of the nozzles.

As a splash guard, for example, a rubber lip can be used. Alternatively or additionally, the splash guard element may comprise bristle strips with the aid of which the surface to be cleaned can be mechanically cleaned off.

As already explained, the surface cleaning device according to the invention is characterized, inter alia, by support means with the aid of which the surface cleaning device can be supported on the surface to be cleaned. In a structurally particularly simple and mechanically very robust embodiment, it is provided that the support means have rolling or sliding bodies for mechanically supporting the surface cleaning device on the surface to be cleaned. The rolling or sliding bodies can be held on the cleaning head, For example, at least two support rollers may be rotatably mounted on the cleaning head, which are placed on the surface to be cleaned. Alternatively and / or additionally, for example skids can be used, with the aid of which the cleaning head can slide along the surface to be cleaned.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the surface cleaning device according to the invention, the support means comprise a blower for generating an air cushion between the cleaning head and the surface to be cleaned. Such a configuration has the advantage that the surface cleaning device can be supported on the surface to be cleaned without it mechanically contacting the surface.

Alternatively or additionally, it can be provided that the support elements comprise at least one support part, on which at least one nozzle is held, wherein the support member of the nozzle during discharge of cleaning liquid with a repulsive force can be acted upon to support the surface cleaning device on the surface to be cleaned. In such a configuration, the recoil forming on the nozzle when discharging the pressurized cleaning liquid is used for supporting the surface cleaning apparatus. In particular, when using a plurality of supporting parts, on each of which at least one nozzle is held, the utilization of the recoil allows reliable support of the surface cleaning device. It is advantageous here if the nozzles are aligned perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned.

A particularly simple handling is achieved in a preferred embodiment in that the length of the stem is telescopically adjustable. Thus, for example, be provided that the stem has at least two telescopically cooperating pipe sections which are lockable to each other in a plurality of relative positions.

A further simplification of the handling of the surface cleaning device according to the invention is achieved in an advantageous embodiment, characterized in that the cleaning head is held articulated on the stem.

It comprises a stem 12, which is tubular and has an upper stem portion 13 and a lower stem portion 14 which cooperate to change the length of the stem 12 telescopically. At its lower, the surface to be cleaned 11 facing the stem 12 carries a cleaning head 17 with a splash guard 18, which surrounds a arranged at the lower end of the stem 12 nozzle 20 and the surface 11 facing a liquid discharge opening 21 defined in the circumferential direction of a Enclosed splash guard in the form of a bristle strip 23, which contacts the surface 11. On the outside of the spray guard 18 of the liquid discharge opening 21 adjacent two freely rotatable about a common axis of rotation 25 support rollers 26, 27 are mounted, with the aid of the surface cleaning device 10 can be supported on the surface 11 to be cleaned and moved along this.

Above the cleaning head 17, a pressure generating unit 29 is held on the handle 12 with an electric motor 31 and a driven by the electric motor 31 pressure pump 32. The electric motor 31 may in the usual manner by means of an electric cable, not shown in the drawing, which is advantageously along the outside of the handle 12, be connected to a power supply network. The control of the electric motor 31 by means of a in FIG. 1 schematically illustrated control unit 33, which comprises an electromechanical switching element 34 and a flow sensor 35. The structural design and the function of the control unit 33 will be explained below.

At its upper end facing away from the cleaning head 17, the handle 12 carries a manually operable switching member 38 with a pivoting lever 39 and a connection fitting 41.

The tubular stem 12 forms for a cleaning liquid, preferably for water, a supply line 48, which can be connected by means of the connection fitting 41 to a supply hose, for example a garden hose. Starting from the connection fitting 41, the cleaning liquid can flow through the switching member 38 and be supplied from the latter via the supply line 48 and the control unit 33 of the pressure generating unit 29. With the help of the pressure generating unit 29, the supplied cleaning liquid can be placed under a high pressure, preferably a pressure of at least 10 bar, in particular more than 30 bar, for example at least 70 bar. The pressurized cleaning liquid is then supplied to the nozzle 20 from the pressure generating unit 29 via the lower end portion of the stem 12. The latter can be designed as a flat jet nozzle or as a rotor nozzle, by means of which a point beam circulating along a circumference of a cone can be directed onto the surface 11 to be cleaned. Alternatively to the rigid arrangement of a nozzle 20 at the lower end of the stem 12 may be provided that the cleaning head 17 receives a pendulum tube means, wherein a pendulum tube is fixed to the lower end of the stem 12 and at a free end carries a nozzle, so that he under the Effect of him supplied, under high pressure Cleaning liquid performs a pendulum movement and thereby sweeps over the liquid discharge opening 21.

The switching member 38 forms a means of the pivot lever 39 manually operable check valve, with the help of which the user can selectively release the flow of cleaning fluid and interrupt. The flowing through the stem 12 cleaning liquid is in FIG. 1 illustrated by the arrow 43.

By means of the switching member 38, the user can also control the operation of the pressure generating unit 29 in addition to the flow 43. For this purpose, the control unit 33 is used, which cooperates with the flow sensor 35, which detects the flow within the stem 12. The flow sensor 35 has a piston 46 displaceably mounted in a cylinder housing 45, which plunges into the interior of the handle 12 forming the supply line 48 and is biased by means of a return spring 50 in the direction of the supply line 48. If by means of the switching member 38, the flow 43 of the cleaning liquid released through the supply line 48, the piston 46 is moved so far that a rigidly connected to it plunger 52, the switching element 34 can actuate to turn on the electric motor 31. Is the user by means of the switching device 38, the flow 43 is interrupted, the piston 46 assumes its advanced position due to the force acting on it the return spring 50 and the associated plunger 42 releases the switching element 34, so that it turns off the electric motor 31.

The electric motor 31 has a housing 54, which is flowed around by the cleaning liquid, so that the waste heat of the electric motor 31 can be removed via the cleaning liquid.

The surface cleaning device 10 can be moved along the manner of a Stielstaubsaugers on the surface to be cleaned 11 in order to effectively clean them by applying cleaning fluid. The weight of the surface cleaning device 10 is significantly determined by the weight of the pressure generating unit 29. Their center of gravity is located at a maximum distance of 0.6 meters from the nozzle 20. This has the advantage that the surface cleaning device 10, which can be supported on the surface 11 via the support rollers 26, 27, can be moved on the surface 11 by the user in a simple manner, without being burdened by the weight of the surface cleaning device 10.

In FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of a generally designated by the reference numeral 60 surface cleaning device, which is configured similar to the above with reference to the FIG. 1 explained surface cleaning device 10. For identical components are therefore in FIG. 2 as well as in the following FIG. 3 the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 , In this regard, reference is made to the above explanations to avoid repetition.

The surface cleaning device 60 differs from the surface cleaning device 10 essentially in that a cleaning head 62 is used, which is held by a hinge 63 on the stem 12 and the two spray arms 65, 66, which are freely rotatably mounted about a perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned 11 oriented axis of rotation 67 and each carry a nozzle 68 and 69 at its free end. The spray arms 65, 66 are held on a rotatable about the axis of rotation 67 hollow shaft 71 which communicates via a flexible connecting line 72 with a discharge nozzle 73 of the stalk 12 fixed pressure generating unit 29 in flow communication. The pressure generating unit 29 comprises according to the surface cleaning device 10, a pressure pump 32 which is driven by an electric motor 31 which can be controlled by means of a control unit 33 in dependence on the flowing through the handle 12 cleaning liquid. The flow of the cleaning liquid can be selectively released and interrupted by the user by means of a arranged at the upper end of the handle 12 switching member 38. How out FIG. 2 becomes clear, the switching device 38 is designed pistol-like and forms a handle 75, which can be taken ergonomically favorable by the user for actuating the pivot lever 39th

The fixed to the spray arms 65, 66 nozzles 68 and 69 are facing the surface to be cleaned 11, wherein its central axis is slightly inclined to the surface normal to the surface 11, so that the nozzles 68, 69 are acted upon by the cleaning liquid flowing therethrough with a repulsive force which is remote from the surface 11 to be cleaned and which drives the nozzles 68, 69 together with the respective spray arms 65, 66 and the hollow shaft 71 to a rotational movement about the axis of rotation 67. The nozzles 68, 69 thus perform a circular circulation movement and the surface 11 is simultaneously acted upon by two nozzles 68, 69 with liquid. Below the spray arms 65, 66 a fan 77 is held on the hollow shaft 71 with a propeller 78, by means of which an air cushion can be generated below the cleaning head 62 for supporting the surface cleaning device 60 on the surface to be cleaned 11. An additional support learns the surface cleaning device 60 by the perpendicular to the surface 11 aligned portion of the recoil force of the nozzles 68, 69. This repulsion force is transmitted via the spray arms 65, 66 on the splash guard 18 and the stem 12.

During operation of the surface cleaning device 60, the electric motor 31 can be supplied with electrical energy by means of a supply cable, not shown in the drawing, known per se. If the surface cleaning device 60 is not in use, then the supply cable can be wound, for this purpose two hook-like holders 79, 80 are fixed to the handle 12 at a distance to each other, around which the supply cable can be wound.

In FIG. 3 shows a third embodiment of a total occupied by the reference numeral 90 surface cleaning device according to the invention. This comprises a cleaning head 92 held at the lower end of the handle 12, into which a pressure pump 93 is integrated. The pressure pump 93 is connected via a known per se and therefore not shown in the drawing angular gear with an electric motor 94 in operative connection, which is set on the stem 12 and depending on the handle 12 flowing through the cleaning liquid on and off.

The pressure pump 93 comprises a drum-shaped rotor housing 96 which can be rotated by means of the electric motor 94 about a rotation axis 97 in rotation. The axis of rotation 97 is aligned perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 95 of the stem 12. Alternatively it can be provided that the axis of rotation 97 is aligned obliquely to the longitudinal axis 95. From the rotor housing 96 are three equally spaced angularly spaced spray arms 98, 99, 100 radially from each carry a nozzle 101, 102 and 103 at its free end and each record an identically designed piston 104, which within the respective spray arm 98, 99 and 100 of the same is held displaceably in the longitudinal direction.

The rotor housing 96 surrounds an eccentric 106 held stationary in the cleaning head 92, on the peripheral wall of which the pistons 104 rest over a sliding shoe and which is in fluid communication with the supply line 48 of the handle 12 via a bore aligned coaxially with the axis of rotation 97. The eccentric 106 has a connecting channel, which extends in the circumferential direction only over a partial region of the eccentric 106, so that cleaning liquid can be discharged through the eccentric 106 in the radial direction. The pistons 104 of the spray arms 98, 99, 100 each have a through-bore, so that the cleaning liquid discharged from the eccentric 106 can be supplied through the pistons 104 to the nozzles 101, 102, and 103. The pistons 104 are biased by means of a return spring in the direction of the eccentric 106.

When the rotor housing 96 is rotated by the electric motor 94, the pistons 104 reciprocate within the respective spray arms 98, 99 and 100, respectively, and liquid flowing during the orbital motion of the spray arms 98, 99, 100 along a portion of the Outside perimeter of the eccentric 106 is passed through the piston 104, is pressurized by these. The cleaning liquid can thus be directed to the surface 11 via the nozzles 101, 102 and 103. The delivery of pressurized cleaning liquid takes place here only over a partial region of the circulating movement of the nozzles, namely whenever the respective nozzle 101, 102 or 103 faces the surface 11.

By means of the surface cleaning device 90, the surface to be cleaned 11 can be applied strip-like with cleaning liquid when the surface cleaning device is moved along the surface 11. This has the advantage that the cleaning liquid jet uniformly covers the surface 11 and also corner and edge regions of a surface to be cleaned 11 can be reliably cleaned.

In particular, in the in the FIGS. 1 and 3 illustrated surface cleaning devices 10 and 90 may be provided that the cleaning head 17 and 92 a Abstreiflippe is held, which can be applied to the surface 11 to be cleaned and associated with a suction nozzle, which is connected via a suction pipe extending along the stem 12 to a suction device can be. This makes it possible to suck the cleaning liquid applied to the surface 1 to be cleaned again.
