Definitions

  • the invention relates to a driver's cab for a commercial vehicle with a supporting structure according to the preamble of claim 1 and to driver's cab series with a driver's cab for a low-floor vehicle and with a driver's cab for a high-floor vehicle.
  • cab series of modular construction with ferry cabins of different length and height dimensions and different roof attachments are known, a cab front wall and a cab rear wall being designed as identical parts and the side walls having different heights.
  • height-variable cab doors with a modular structure are proposed, the lowest version of the cab series having a base door and, for all higher types, a base door with a door attachment adapted to the upper frame part of the base door, which is designed as a plug-in frame part is provided.

  • the present invention is concerned with the problem of specifying an improved embodiment for a cab of the type mentioned at the outset, which in particular makes it possible to design cabs with the same supporting structure simply as low-floor or as high-floor vehicles and thus to enable inexpensive variant formation.
  • the invention is based on the general idea of providing a door module which can be preassembled from the door and the door frame in a driver's cab for a commercial vehicle which has a support structure on which a door mounted on a door frame is arranged on each vehicle side, the support structure for attachment this door module is prepared and the door frame is attached to the support structure in the mounted state.
  • This offers the advantage that different variants of cabs, for example for low-floor vehicles or for high-floor vehicles, can be achieved simply by changing the door module without having to change the supporting structure of the cab.

  • the invention provides that cabs for low-floor vehicles with a particularly low entry can also be produced from the preassembled door module and the uniform supporting structure of the cab, so that special vehicles, such as for parcel delivery service, can also be realized without major changes in the assembly process of the cab must be taken into account.
  • the support frame in the absence of a door module and in a high-floor vehicle, is designed such that it serves as a frame for another door attached to it, which is shorter than the vehicle door of the door module. This means that any high-floor vehicle can be realized by attaching another door, whereas a low-floor vehicle can easily be realized by the door module attached to the support frame.

  • this offers the advantage that the same basic body or support structures 3 are always used for different vehicle types or driver's cab series can be used, to which different door modules 6 can be arranged to specify the purpose.

  • the preassembled door module 6, which consists of the door frame 4 and the respective door 5, can thus be attached to the support frame 7 prepared for this purpose. This contributes to the fact that a quick and flexible type variation and an inexpensive manufacture and assembly of different cabs 1 can be achieved by using a uniform or structurally identical support structure 3 with a support frame 7 and different door modules 6 adapted to the respective purpose.
  • the door module 6 can be designed in such a way that it enables a low entrance to the driver's cab 1 that can be used for a low-floor vehicle. The low entry is ensured by the fact that the vehicle door 5 of the door module 6 is generally longer than would be the case with a normal high-floor vehicle. If the door module 6 is missing and in the case of a high-floor vehicle, in a preferred variant the support frame 7 can then be designed such that it serves as a frame for another door (not shown) which can be attached to it and which is shorter than the vehicle door 5 of the door module 6.
  • the solution according to the invention can also be used to implement driver's cab series with a driver's cab 1 for a low-floor vehicle and with a driver's cab 1 for a high-floor vehicle, the cabs 1 likewise having identical supporting structures 3 and at least the driver's cab 1 of the low-floor vehicle being equipped with at least one door module 6 is that a door frame 4 fastened to the support structure 3 and a vehicle door 5 attached to it points. It may be expedient for the driver's cab 1 of a low-floor vehicle to mount the driver's cab 1 on a chassis of the vehicle in comparison to a driver's cab 1 of a high-floor vehicle in the direction of travel forward and downward.
  • the different door modules 6 can each have no curvature (for example in the case of a folding or folding door) or a different curvature (for example in the case of a rotating or sliding door).
  • the solution according to the invention is therefore not only suitable for doors 5 or door modules 6 with the same, but also with different curvature, the different door modules 6 in each case having a closed appearance together with the support structure 3. This is particularly important from a design point of view, since the driver's cab 1 is the main design element in commercial vehicles 2.
  • the driver's cab can also have different curvatures on its side door.
  • the invention provides for a door module 6 to be preassembled from the door 5 and the door frame 4 in a driver's cab 1 for a commercial vehicle 2, the support structure 3 of the driver's cab 1 being prepared for the installation of this door module 6 and the door frame 4 in attached state is attached to the support structure 3.
