Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dispensing device for dispensing an active substance fluid into the rinsing fluid in a toilet bowl having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • active ingredient fluid primarily means viscous, in particular also gelatinous, active compound preparations having a cleansing, disinfecting, deodorizing, bleaching, etc. action. However, this does not exclude that the present dispensing device is also suitable for otherwise flowable, ie liquid to viscous active ingredient preparations (DE 199 30 362 A1, EP 0 775 741 A1, EP 0 960 984 A2, US Pat. No. 6,412,120 B1).
  • Dispensers of the type in question are known under the keyword "toilet bowl” in different versions.
  • dispensing devices are known for a single active substance fluid, ie with a single storage container (EP 0 785 315 A1, DE 199 30 362 A1).
  • dispensing devices for several, in particular two in a carrier combined reservoir z. B. for two non-storage stable storable drug fluids (DE 201 16 963 U1).
  • the teaching of the present invention can in principle be used advantageously already in dispensing devices for a single active substance fluid. In a special way, however, the advantages of a dispenser for at least two provided in a holder reservoir for each active substance fluid unfold.
  • the starting point for teaching is a dispensing device as known from DE 201 16 963 U1.
  • DE 201 16 963 U1 The starting point for teaching is a dispensing device as known from DE 201 16 963 U1.
  • a guide arrangement which prevents free flow of the active substance fluid has a spacer arrangement surrounding the impact tip in an annular manner, on which the neck of the storage container inserted in the holder rests.
  • the spacer assembly consists of individual from the surface of the distribution element in the terminal region slightly upstanding spacers on which the annular nozzle is seated around the connection opening, so that emerge between the spacers outlet areas for the escape of active fluid or inlet areas for the entry of air for pressure equalization.
  • the dispensing device is in terms of pressure equalization in the reservoir and in terms of - unwanted - entry of rinsing fluid into the reservoir optimizable. It has been shown that the viscosity of the active substance fluid in the initial state is too greatly reduced by the entry of rinsing liquid into the reservoir, so that unintentional emptying of the reservoir can be observed.
  • the invention is based on the problem to provide a dispenser of the type in question, which is optimized in terms of the uniformity of the delivery of drug fluid.
  • a type of meniscus of the active substance fluid is produced in the lateral outlet opening at rest, through which the active substance fluid remains constant until it is flushed out by the contacting rinsing fluid flow in a precisely defined portion. After completion of the rinsing process, this situation stabilizes again in a defined manner.
  • the discharge amount can be predetermined by the width and height of the outlet opening, the formation of the meniscus also being influenced by the depth surface of the outlet opening present in the depth.

  • two guide arrangements are provided for placing corresponding reservoir.
  • active substance fluid has been defined in the general part of the description.
  • the teaching is not limited to the use of two drug fluids. It is already relevant when using a reservoir with a drug fluid. It is also relevant if the number of storage tanks is increased.
  • Fig. 1 shows first for the basic explanation of the construction and function of a dispenser of the type in question a figure that is taken from the prior art. It can be seen this figure in conjunction with Fig. 2 and in particular Fig. 5 of the drawing with reference to the dispensing device specifically described here, because in Fig. 5 in dashed lines the position of the container neck is indicated with the outlet opening of the reservoir.
  • the dispensing device shown in the drawing for dispensing a drug fluid into the rinsing fluid in a toilet bowl initially has a suspendable on the edge of a toilet bowl holder 1 and at least one provided in the holder 1 reservoir 2 for a drug fluid.
  • two storage containers 2 are provided in the holder 1, which, more preferably, are separated from each other and each containing a drug fluid.

  • the plug 4 is articulated by a film-like hinge 21 with the cap 22 after insertion.
  • the film-like plug 4 is cut by the cutting edges 20.
  • the film-like plug is completely cut out and floats in the active fluid.
  • means are provided for generating a buoyancy in the float
  • the necessary for such an opening mechanism cutting 20 may preferably be configured in nature and number such that, as shown in Fig. 8 a and Fig. 8 b, the plug 4 is not completely from the cap 22nd solves, but a remaining portion of the film forms a hinge 21.
  • the nozzle 8 protrudes after the opening of the reservoir 2 through the outlet opening 5 in the interior, so that the plug 4 is secured against closing.
  • the cutting edges may preferably also be of such a type and number that when the reservoir is pressed into the holder, the film-like linkage is completely separated by the cutting edges, and the plug thus removed floats upward due to the density difference with respect to the liquid in the reservoir.

  • FIGS. 2, 3, 4 and 5. 5 shows the position of the storage container 2 with the container neck 3 relative to the guide arrangement 7 on the distribution element 6.
  • the nozzle 8 of the guide assembly 7 on the side facing the hinged in the toilet bowl dispensing device of the impingement rinse liquid, which is the lower side in Fig. 2, the upper side in Fig. 3 and the right-hand side in Fig.
  • the lateral outlet opening 11 taking into account the product properties, in particular the viscosity of the active substance fluid chosen so that at rest, so without significant effect of rinsing liquid, the active substance fluid in the lateral outlet opening 11 is present.
  • pending is meant here that the active substance fluid does not constantly flow in the resting state, but that in or at the lateral outlet opening 11 forms a kind of "miniscus" of the active substance fluid under its own surface tension, which prevents an undifferentiated subsequent flow of the active substance fluid.
  • the lateral outlet opening 11 can be seen particularly well in FIG. 5.
  • the fastening pins 12 for fastening the distribution element 6 to the holder 1 are represented here by illustration. Their position can be seen in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 particularly well.
  • the mounting pins 12 are irrelevant.
  • the lower edge 10 of the connecting piece 8 is formed as a broad, laterally projecting flange, which together with the corresponding portion of the distribution element 6, the formation of a meniscus of the active fluid in the lateral Outlet opening 11 facilitates.
  • the lateral adhesion of the active substance fluid to the flange and the corresponding surface of the distribution element 6 stabilizes the exit of active substance fluid at the lateral outlet opening 11 and leads to defined conditions with standstill of the active substance fluid between the rinsing operations.
  • the nozzle 8 has an inner diameter of about 5 mm.
  • Fig. 6 shows a "top view" of the nozzle 8 of the guide assembly 7, from which the particular conditions in the nozzle 8 in a preferred embodiment can be clearly seen. It can be seen here that in the nozzle 8, a flow-restricting arrangement 13 is provided through which, preferably, the flow is limited to a crescent-shaped flow area. In the illustrated embodiment and at an inner diameter of the channel 9 in the nozzle 8 of about 5 mm, it may be recommended that the restricted, preferably crescent-shaped flow area has a maximum width b of about 1.5 mm to about 2.5 mm.
  • the arrangement of the flow restricting arrangement 13 in the channel 9 of the nozzle 8 determines the flow conditions here.
  • this Arrangement 13 can thus be realized depending on the active substance fluids to be used and their viscosity, the expected surface tension and the expected pressure at this point at different filling state of the reservoir 2 a well-defined, desired characteristic for the flow.
  • the illustrated and preferred embodiment may in practice in the typical active fluids, which are to be used here, be further concretely configured by the clear height of the lateral outlet opening 11 about 1.5 mm to about 3.5 mm, preferably about 2, 5 mm, and / or the lower width of the lower edge 10 of the nozzle 8 is about 1.5 mm to about 3.5 mm, preferably about 2.5 mm.
  • the dispensing device has been described as if the guide assembly 7 for the respective storage container 2 readily on the distribution element 6. This is in principle also a functioning construction. In this case, however, the lateral outlet opening 11 is relatively exposed to the Spülwasserzuustory during flushing.
  • the two guide assemblies 7 are stronger for the two reservoir 2 with respect to the application of rinsing liquid shielded.
  • the guide arrangement 7 is in any case on the side facing the flushing liquid suspended in the toilet bowl, and on both sides of the guide arrangement 7, surrounded by a baffle 15 projecting from the distribution element 6.

  • Within the baffle 15 results because it is spaced from the nozzle 8 of the guide assembly 7, an open at one end, trough-like receptacle for washing liquid, the filling state of the inclination position of the distribution element 6 in the toilet bowl depends. This can easily be imagined on the basis of the illustration in FIG. 2.
  • the upper edge of the baffle 15, at least on the side facing in the toilet bowl hinged dispensing device of the impingement rinse liquid is higher than the lower edge 10 of the nozzle 8 in the region of the outlet opening 11. This can be seen particularly good in Fig. 5 of the drawings.
  • the height of the baffle 15 of course plays an essential role in the formation of the trough effect which has been previously mentioned.
  • the upper edge of the baffle 15 opposite the top of the distribution element 6 in a height of about 3 mm to about 7 mm , preferably from about 5 mm to about 6 mm.
  • a barrier is provided, which the lateral outlet opening 11 of the guide arrangement 7, in which the active substance fluid is present, against a direct Shielding the current of the washing liquid shields.
  • the channel 9 in the nozzle 8 of the guide arrangement 7 serves the re-aeration of the reservoir 2. Due to the special design, a sump formation is avoided , By designing and dimensioning the lateral outlet opening 11 of the guide arrangement 7, it is possible to precisely determine the delivery quantity of active substance fluid per rinsing cycle.
  • FIG. 1 further show in context that a defined position of the reservoir 2 relative to the distribution element 6 in the illustrated embodiment is realized in that the nozzle 8, preferably only on the side acting as a shield, a support 16 for the outlet opening 5 forming container neck. 3 of the storage container 2 is arranged.
  • This has here a height which is greater than the height of the baffle 15, so that forms a slit-like overflow for rinsing liquid.
  • the height here is between about 6 mm and about 8 mm from the surface of the distribution element 6.
  • the loading area 14 of the distribution element 6 has in the illustrated dispensing device due to the local separation of the delivery of the active substance fluid from the supply of the rinsing liquid substantially only the task to hold after completion of a rinse irrigating fluid with active fluid for a while to effect a long lasting fragrance delivery.
  • the rib structure of the impingement region 14, which can be seen in FIG. 3, increases the surface area and increases the related aftertreatment between the rinsing processes.
  • the drawing shows a closed baffle 15. But one could also specifically in the baffle 15, one or more, preferably slot-like openings 17 provide rinsing liquid, which is present within the baffle 15 with a high proportion of active fluid, between rinsing slowly on the Beaufschlagungs Scheme 14 of Be leaking distribution element 6 out. Such a slot-like opening 17 can only be seen in FIG. 3 laterally on the baffle 15 next to a fastening pin 12.

  • the active fluids fit the particular dimension specifications described above.
  • Fig. 1 can also provide for the claimed dispenser that the reservoir 2 or the like by means of an adapter 18. coupled together and so coupled in the holder 1 can be attached. In this way you can replace a refill set of two reservoirs 2 together. Also in this respect may refer to the state of the art explained to the starting point whose disclosure content has been incorporated by reference into the disclosure of the present application.
  • Fig. 1 indicated that here on the holder 1 on the side facing away from the impinging flushing liquid in the toilet bowl hinged dispensing device, a the edge of the distribution element shielding protective wall 19 is provided.
  • This protective wall 19 protrudes downward on the distribution element 6 and shields, with a small distance, the free sides of the baffles 15 of the guide arrangements 7, which are particularly clearly visible in FIG. 3.
  • the protective wall 19 could otherwise be attached to the adapter 18.
  • the protective wall 19 could theoretically also be provided on the distribution element 6 itself. The spacing must then be realized differently, for example by webs. In any case, it must be ensured that active substance fluid can be washed off the rinsing fluid at the edge of the distribution element 6.
  • the air enters the interior of the reservoir 2 through the channel 9 in the nozzle 8, through which the active substance fluid expires from the reservoir 2.
  • Such a dispenser would then be designed so that a small air inlet opening is provided at the nozzle 8 of the guide assembly 7, preferably in the flow restricting arrangement 13 in the nozzle 8, in particular at its top.

  • the active substance fluids run into the channels 9 of the guide arrangements 7 and form below in the lateral outlet openings 11 the menisci described, ie concave liquid levels.
  • the fragrance delivery from the appropriate drug fluid or from both drug fluids begins.
  • the flushing liquid flows from the front in Fig. 2 side, which faces the edge of the toilet bowl, over the loading region 14 of the distribution element 6 on the baffles 15. Due to the turbulent flow flushing liquid is also on the baffle 15 pass away into the gap between the respective baffle 15 and the guide assembly 7. At the same time, small amounts of active substance fluid are also applied to the loading area of the distribution element 6. Within the baffle 15 befindliches active fluid is washed away by the partial flow of the rinsing liquid.
