Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for dispensing additives to the rinse water in toilet bowls, with an additive receiving, in the basin attachable container, the at least one passage opening for the additive, with a capillary-active dispensing aid Connected to a layer of capillary openings having exhibiting material.
  • a device of this type is already known from EP 0 785 315 A1.
  • the known device is a two-part arrangement with an am Cymbal attachable holder that determines the location of the capillary active material in the form of a porous plate and the holding means, over the container containing the additive above the porous plate is detachably attachable.
  • the passage opening is located in an outlet nozzle the bottle-like container. If this in the holder above the porous plate is mounted, the outlet nozzle engages in a connection nipple of the holder and forms together with the connection nipple a dropper device in conjunction with ventilation holes, located at the nipple next to the passage for the additive are to allow a metered dripping of the porous plate.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device which compared to the prior art far easier and cheaper to produce but nonetheless a trouble-free delivery of the additives allows.
  • this object is according to the invention achieved in that the capillary-active layer in the form of at least a porous band having the capillary openings is formed, which is guided on the wall of the container fitting so that at least a portion of the band extends along the outside of the container and can be contacted by the rinse water.
  • the full length porous tape can be placed on the outside of the container, the lower wall area at least partially surrounding, so led be that there are one or more openings in the lower Wall area of the container covered.
  • the respective Flow properties that occur when passing through the passage opening or openings can easily their size and number be chosen appropriately.
  • the tape may be one along the inside of the container up to an outlet opening guided first section and one adjoining the first section at the exit opening, second portion extending along the outside extends the container.
  • the container be designed as refillable container, which has a in his Upper wall area located refill opening to the atmosphere open is.
  • the refill opening can be sized so that refilling immediately take place via a dispensing nozzle of a relevant storage container can, without having to remove the device from the edge of the pool.
  • the drawn in Fig. 1 device comprises a container 1 in the form of a so-called Schildkörbchens made of plastic, by means of a on his Top integrally formed tether 3, which overlaps the edge of the pool, in a relevant toilet bowl is suspended so that the outside of the container 1 comes into contact with the rinse water during the rinsing process.
  • the Container has two shield-shaped side walls, of which only one visible and designated by the reference numeral 5.
  • the corresponding Trained other side wall is omitted to the inside of the container 1 to make visible.
  • Extends between the two side walls itself an approximately rectangular cover part 7 and a contour of the shield shape defining, a curved surface forming wall 9, the short sides the rectangular shape of the lid part 7 connects to each other.
  • the wall 9 serves as a carrier for capillary active material, which in the shown Embodiment in the form of two bands 11 formed of porous material is.
  • Each band 11 extends with a first band section 13 along the inside of each half of the wall 9, in the region of its upper, on the lid part 7 adjacent edge for each band 11 each one has the band cross-section adapted passage opening 15, up to which the inner portions 13 of each of the bands 11 extend.
  • a second section 17 of the bands closes 11 on. This outer second portion 17 extends along the outside the relevant half of the wall 9, the area of the inner section 13 roughly covering.
  • each band 11 forms an extended Evaporator surface for the additive-containing liquid from the inner Section 13 of the bands 11 by capillary forces to the relevant Passage opening 15 is sucked up, from where the liquid migrates by capillary action to the respective outer portion 17 and is released from there. This happens during a flushing process by immediate Contact with the rinse water. During periods of the Disuse may be odor enhancing substances, if such as an ingredient of the additive are provided by evaporation to the ambient air be delivered.
  • the granule-like container 1 in its bottom surface a plurality of passage openings 15.
  • the capillary active Layer forming, porous band 11 is in this embodiment on its entire length on the outside of the granule-like container. 1 guided, in such a way that it substantially along the whole Warrekkung the wall 9 extends as the curved surface of the short edges of Cover part 7 connects.
  • the band 11 covers with its inside the Through openings 15, over the additives containing liquid from the interior of the container 1 directly to the back of the tape 11th passes to the outside of the belt 11, which has an extended evaporator surface forms to be released.
  • one half of the cover part 7 is integral with a shell-like side cover 18 formed with the one with the other Half of the lid part 7 integral housing half of the cup-like Container 1 can be clipped.
  • a refill opening 19 recessed, by means of a dispensing nozzle of a Not shown reservoir for additives refilling the container 1, without removing the device from the toilet bowl to have to. It is understood that also in the embodiment of Fig. 1 in the lid part 7 recessed a corresponding refill opening could be.
  • FIG. 3 differs from that of FIG Fig. 2 only in that only one housing half of the cup-like Container 1 on the outside of the curved surface forming wall. 9 a passage 11 covering tape 11 as capillary active Location has.
  • the band 11 By dimensioning the band 11, in particular with regard to length and width and design of the openings 15 can be the dispensing behavior the device to the respective requirements and the Adjust properties of additives.
  • the one shown in Fig. 1 is suitable Arrangement with large-area direct contacting of the inner Sections 13 of the tape are preferred for liquid transport by capillary forces in the range of low viscosities.
  • the immediate access of the Liquid to the belt 11 via openings formed in the bottom of the basket 15 is preferably suitable for higher viscosity ranges, for example gelatinous masses. For more precise adaptation to certain viscosity values are size and number of openings 15 accordingly selectable.
  • a plastic nonwoven material glass, ceramic or sintered plastic material, for example sintered Polyethylene or sintered polypropylene.
  • Sponge membranes so-called Scribrods or fine-pored plastic frits also come in question.
  • the additives may be known in the art Formulas act as they are used, for example, in the EP 0 775 741 A1 are shown. Such compositions can have viscosities of 10 to 20,000 m Pa s at room temperature. As mentioned above, the device according to the invention can be a large Viscosity range readily meet.
