Description

  • Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zum Färben von wasserfreiem Natriumcarbonat und seine Verwendung als ästhetischer und waschaktiver Zusatz in Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelformulierungen
  • Im Stand der Technik sind Verfahren zum Einfärben und die Verwendung von gefärbten Waschmittelbestandteilen schon lange bekannt.
  • Farbige Produkte in der Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelindustrie wurden in letzter Zeit für die Verbraucher zunehmend wichtiger, denn sie wollen gefärbte Produkte, die neben der verbesserten Waschwirkung, auch einem besonderen ästhetischen Anspruch genügen und die Produkte einzelner Hersteller unterscheidungsfähiger machen.
  • So werden z.B. Polyphosphate, insbesondere gefärbte, Natriumtripolyphosphate (NTPP) in Reinigungsmitteln z.B. in Waschpulvern oder Geschirreinigern eingesetzt. Diese Verbindungen wurden in Form nicht glänzender Granulate bzw. runder Partikel in die Waschmittelformulierungen eingebaut.
  • In der US 4,097,418 werden hydratisierbare, anorganische alkalische Salze, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe der Tripolyphosphate, Pyrophosphate, Orthophosphate und Mischungen davon zusammen mit einem Tensid, z.B. Natriumdodecylbenzenesulfonat und dem entsprechenden Farbstoff oder Farbpigment in einem Mischer eingefärbt. Zum Einsatz kommen hier Farbstoffe oder Farbpigmente, die mit dem Tensid eine Paste oder Slurry bilden. Diese Tensid/Farbstoff Slurry wird dann mit dem Phosphate in der entsprechenden Mischvorrichtung gemischt. Es entstehen dabei freifließende eingefärbte Granulate mit einer bestimmten Teilchengröße.
  • Die Eignung von Natriumcarbonat als einzufärbendes Teilchen wurde erwähnt.
  • In der Anmeldung WO-00/27980 wird eine Waschmittelformulierung beschrieben, die feste, gefärbte Teilchen enthält, die einen sog "transpärency index" von mindestens 5 % und einen "sparkie index" von mindestens 5 % aufweisen. Als farbige Teilchen kommen kristalline, hydratisierte anorganische Salze, kristalline organische Säuren, kristalline Tenside Sacharide oder deren Mischungen in Frage, Seite 5, Zeile 25 ff. Bevorzugt wird ein kristallines farbiges Trinatriumcitrat-Dihydrat verwendet.
  • Der Vorteil bei der Verwendung der kristallinen Salze sehen die Erfinder darin, dass weniger Farbstoff benötigt wird aufgrund der Oberflächenbeschaffenheit der Kristalle. Das Färbeverfahren kann sowohl in wässerigem Medium, als auch in nicht-wässerigem Medium erfolgen, beim letzteren ist eine nachträgliche Trocknung nicht erforderlich und deshalb bevorzugt.
  • Die Färbung erfolgt hier in einer Mischeinrichtung, wobei Natriumcitrat mit der Farbstoffpaste gemischt wird. Nach Trocknung entstehen die gefärbten Natriumcitrat-Teilchen mit einem Farbstoff-Anteil 1000ppm.
  • In der DE 100 48 875 wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von gefärbten Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelteilchen beschrieben, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Färbemittel den Inhaltsstoffen als Lösung in einem Lösungsmittelgemisch aus Wasser und mindestens einem organischen polaren Lösungsmittel zugefügt wird.
  • Zu den Inhaltsstoffen gehören unter anderem auch die Silikate, alle Arten von Zeolithen, die Phosphate, aber auch die Carbonate und/oder Hydrogencarbonate. Es werden Teilchen verwendet gemäß der DE- 39 26 253 A1 , siehe Beispiele, Seite 10. Es wurde hier festgestellt, dass durch die Verwendung eines Lösungsmittelgemisches, bestehend aus Wasser und einem polaren organischen Lösungsmittel, ein gleichmäßiger Farbeintrag in die Ausgangskomponenten der herzustellenden Teilchen und somit eine gleichmäßige Färbung der fertigen Teilchen erreicht werden kann.
  • Als Farbstoffe in diesem Verfahren kommen solche bevorzugt zum Einsatz, die im Waschprozeß oxidativ zerstört werden können, sowie Mischungen derselben mit geeigneten blauen Farbstoffen, sog. Blautönern. Das durch dieses Verfahren hergestellte Waschmittel sollte derart eingefärbt sein, dass diese bei der Anwendung keine zu starke Affinität gegenüber den textilen Oberflächen und hier insbesondere gegenüber Kunstfasern entfalten, Seite 2, Zeilen 56 ff..
  • Obwohl es in DE 100 48 875 , Natriumcarbonate und/oder Hydrogencarbonate als zu färbende Inhaltsstoffe erwähnt sind, ist das hier vorgestellte Verfahren nachteilig.
  • Zum Einen deshalb, weil in dem Verfahren das Färbemittel den Inhaltsstoffen als Lösung in einem Lösungsmittelgemisch bestehend aus Wasser und mindestens einem polaren Lösungsmittel, zugeführt wird. Das Lösungsmittelgemisch muss jedoch nach Gebrauch wieder aufgearbeitet werden, d.h. unter Umständen destillativ getrennt werden bzw. teuer entsorgt werden. Weiterhin muss bei der Verwendung von organischen Lösemitteln aus umweltschutztechnischen Gründen in einem geschlossenen Reaktor gearbeitet werden. Durch die Verwendung von Wasser als Reaktionsmedium kann auf Anlagen mit Explosionsschutzeinrichtung verzichtet werden. Dadurch wird das Verfahren weniger kompliziert, sicherer für die Mitarbeiter und ökonomisch.
  • In der JP 10 298588 , wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines granulierten und gefärbten Materials, das als Reinigungsmittel für Zahnprothesen verwendet wird, vorgestellt.
  • Das wesentliche Merkmal dieses Verfahrens ist die Verwendung des geeigneten Hochgeschwindigkeitsmischers und die passende Korngröße der beiden Komponenten, d.h. der zu färbenden Komponente und des Farbstoffs. Nur wenn diese im Bereich von 10 bis 50 µ liegt, gelingt es im Mischer, daß beide Komponenten aneinander anhaften und sich vollständig bedecken [0011]. Gemäß Beispiel 1, wird ein Farbstoff, das C.I. Acid mit einer Korngröße von 80 µm, bei einer Temperatur von 25 °C und einer Luftfeuchtigkeit von 60 % mit wasserfreiem Natriumcarbonat von einer Korngröße von kleiner als 300 µm 4 Stunden lang im Mischer gemischt. Im Beispiel 2 wird das gleiche Verfahren mit Natriumpolyphosphat durchgeführt. Sowohl Natriumpolyphosphat als auch Natriumcarbonat granuliert und gefärbt, sind Bestandteile des Reinigungsmittels.
  • Das in JP 10 298588 beschriebene Verfahren unterscheidet sich vom erfinderischen Verfahren dadurch, daß es die Anwendung eines Hochgeschwindigkeitsmischers erfordert und das Färben der Komponenten in der festen, trockenen Phase erfolgt, sowie durch die Erfordernis der Korngößenverteilung der beiden Komponenten.
  • Es bestand demnach die Aufgabe, ein wirklich einfaches und umweltfreundliches Verfahren zur Herstellung von gefärbten Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelbestandteilen zur Verfügung zustellen.
  • Dabei ist es gewünscht solche farbigen Teilchen sowohl für die Waschmittelindustrie als auch für die Reinigerindustrie zu entwickeln, d.h. für die Herstellung von Waschpulvern im textilen Bereich, als auch für die Herstellung von pulverförmigen Reinigungsmitteln, z.b. für automatische Geschirrspülmaschinen.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird durch die Merkmale des unabhängigen Ansprüchs 1 gelöst und durch die Merkmale der abhängigen Ansprüche gefördert.
  • Das gefärbte Produkt fällt als trockenes Pulver an, das dem Mischer entnommen wird. In dieser Verfahrensvariante werden wasserlösliche Farbstoffe verwendet.
  • Erfindungsgemäß werden die wasserlöslichen Farbstoffe aus den Verbindungsklassen der Chinoline, Azofarbstoffe, Xanthene, Indigoide und Anthrachinone verwendet. Es können aber auch Farbstoffpigmente verwendet werden, die je nach ihrer Wasserlöslichkeit, entweder als wässerige Lösungen oder als wässerige Suspensionen eingesetzt werden.
  • Die Konzentration der Farbstofflösung oder der Farbstoffsuspension beträgt 0,1 bis 4,9 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 2,5 Gew.-%.
  • Diese Farbstoffe sind mit dem wasserfreien Soda kompatibel, sowohl in bezug auf den pH-Wert, als auch in bezug auf ihre Stabilität auch gegenüber anderen Wasch und Reinigungsmittelinhaltsstoffen, z.b. mit Bleichmitteln oder optischen Aufhellern etc..
  • Die erfindungsgemäß gefärbten Sodateilchen können deshalb ohne Probleme in jede Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelrezeptur eingearbeitet werden.
  • Das erfindungsgemäß zum Färben verwendete wasserfreie Natriumcarbonat ist kommerziell erhältlich, z.b. von der Fa. Solvay Es ist eine spezielle, kalzinierte Type mit maximal 10 Gew-% Wasseraufnahmekapazität, das einem ½ Mol Kristallwassergehalt maximal entspricht. Das Carbonat ist nicht kristallin und hat keinen Oberflächenglanz, da es überwiegend amorph ist.
  • Die gefärbten Teilchen werden nach dem Färbeprozeß einer Siebung unterzogen und nur solche ausgewählt, die im Teilchenspektrum von 125 bis 1000 µm, vorzugsweise, von 250 bis 500 µm zu finden sind. Eine anschließende Mahlung, Agglomerisation oder Granulierung ist deshalb auch nicht erforderlich.
  • Durch den sehr einfachen Pr0zeß entstehen Sodateilchen mit einer homogen Färbung, in rieselfähiger trockener Form. Während des Färbeprozesses wird Wärme frei durch das exotherme Verhalten des wasserfreien Soda. Diese anfallende Wärme wird ausgenutzt, um das Produkt zu trocknen, so dass eine nachgeschaltete Trocknung überflüssig wird. Das so getrocknete Produkt weist einen maximalen Kristallwassergehalt von 0,5 Mol auf Diese Art der Prozeßführung ist ökonomisch und einfach.
  • Die nachfolgenden Beispiele beschreiben die Erfindung näher, ohne sie jedoch einzuschränken.
  • Beispiel 1
  • In einem Mischer vom Typ Lödige-Pflugscharmischer wurden 1300 kg wasserfreies Soda mit einem Kristallwassergehalt von 0,5 vorgelegt. Eine wässerige Färbelösung mit 4 Gew.- % Fastusol Rot wurde über ein Düsensystem gleichmässig aufgesprüht. Anstelle des Fastusol Rot kann auch eine wässerige Pigmentsuspension z.b. von Pigment Blau oder Grün oder Cosmenylgrün verwendet werden. Dabei wird der Reaktorraum auf ca. 50 bis 60 °C aufgeheizt aufgrund der exothermen Reaktion des Soda mit der wässerigen Färbelösung bzw. Pigmentsuspension. Das gefärbte Produkt fällt bereits trocken, als freifließendes Pulver auf das Wirbelbett an und weist einen maximalen Kristallwassergehalt von 0,5 Mol Wasser auf. Es wird anschließend noch abgesiebt. Das Produkt weist einen Trockenverlust von 8, 02 % auf. Teilchengrößeßspektrum des erfindungsgemäßen Produktes:

  • Beispiel 2
  • Als Rohstoff wird 2000g wasserfreies Natriumcarbonat, kalziniert in Form eines trockenen Pulvers in einem Mischer vorgelegt. 4 g Basovit Grün 876 Farbstoff wird ebenfalls in trockener Form in den Mischer gegebenen und mit dem Natriumcarbonatpulver vermischt. Als Mischaggregat wurde ein Lödige Pflugscharmischer verwendet. Während des Mischvorgangs werden 196g Wasser langsam zugegeben. Nach einer Mischzeit von 2 min. wird das Produkt entnommen. Das Produkt ist homogen gefärbt und fällt als trockenes, freifließendes Pulver an.

Claims (3)

  1. Verfahren zum Färben von Natriumcarbonat, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass wasserfreies Natriumcarbonat der Formel Na2CO3 in einer kontinuierlich arbeitenden Mischeinrichtung mit pulverförmigem, wasserlöslichem Farbstoff in einer Mischeinrichtung gemischt wird, während des Mischens mit einer ausreichenden Menge Wasser versetzt wird und anschließend als trockenes, freifließendes Pulver mit einem maximalen Kristallwassergehalt von 0,5, Mol Wasser dem Mischer entnommen wird.
  2. Verfahren nach Ansprucheft 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das gefärbte Produkt nach der Färbung gesiebt wird, so dass eine Teilchengrößenverteilung von 125 µm bis 1000 µm entsteht
  3. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass als wasserlöslichen Farbstoffe solche aus den Verbindungsklassen der Chinoline, Azofarbstoffe, Xanthene, Indigoide und Anthrachinone verwendet werden
