It can at this point be readily appreciated that the result of a rise in the temperature of the wall of the drum, even if this is brought about from the outside, is an increase of the internal temperature thereof and a corresponding reduction of the amount of heat that must be generated and transmitted by the heating element 4, under clear benefits in terms of overall energy usage.
