Definitions

  • the invention relates to a loom according to the preamble of claim 1, a device for inserting one or more weft ends and for forming a fabric edge according to the preamble of claim 6 and a method for inserting one or more weft ends and for forming a web edge according to the preamble of claim.
  • the weft threads inserted in a shed are cut off at their ends with excess length in a weaving machine and the free ends after the next change of subject, but before the next weft stop, in the open shed inflected.
  • the process for bending which is referred to as textile insertion of the weft yarn, usually takes place either mechanically, pneumatically or pneumo-mechanically.
  • An example of a mechanical loading device with a bar needle is disclosed for example in the patent application DE 1 710 353.
  • An example of a pneumomechanical design is known from EP-A-0 134 377. In this pneumomechanical design, an insertion needle with eyelet is used, in which the thread end is threaded by means of compressed air.
  • the disadvantage of both the mechanical and the pneumo-mechanical insertion devices is that their use, due to the mechanical processes, are limited to certain maximum speeds of the loom.
  • air inlets In order to enable higher weaving machine speeds in the production of fabrics with insert edges, purely pneumatic insertion devices, so-called air inlets, are used.
  • the loading device described in this document comprises a nozzle assembly with a plurality of nozzles arranged outside the fabric width in order to blow the weft thread ends into a shed.
  • the known prior art inserts normally function properly. However, as soon as harder and / or stiffer yarns are used, it is increasingly difficult to produce a flawless fabric edge. Thus, e.g. the yarn ends of stiffer yarns from the inserted position wholly or partially jump back and / or the yarn ends of such yarns penetrate completely or partially through the upper or lower shed before the yarn ends are struck together with the following weft and integrated. The penetration of the upper or lower shed through the weft ends is also referred to as bleeding. Due to the tissue defect caused by improper insertion of the weft ends, the tissue is classified as inferior. Problems can also arise with normally flexible yarns if several, e.g. two weft ends are inserted in the same shed. Often, in this case, one weft end is properly inserted while the other weft end is not properly positioned, e.g. can bleed through.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a weaving machine with a device for inserting one or more weft thread ends and for forming a fabric edge, as well as an apparatus and a method for inserting one or more weft ends and for forming a fabric edge, the fabric defects in consequence not properly reduce inlaid weft ends, and allow to produce flawless fabric edges, even in the case that stiffer yarns used be and / or that multiple weft ends are registered in the same shed.
  • the weaving machine comprises a device for inserting one or more weft thread ends and for forming a web edge, which device comprises a mechanical, pneumatic or pneumo-mechanical insert which can be arranged inside or outside the width of the fabric. Further, a shedding device for forming a shed with a shed tip is provided on the loom.
  • the device for inserting one or more weft thread ends comprises at least one additional blowing nozzle, which is arranged within the fabric width, in particular within the width of the fabric edge, and whose jet direction is directed to the shed tip, in order to blow the weft thread ends into the shed tip.
  • the additional tuyere includes a nozzle opening disposed within the shed.
  • the loom comprises a weft insertion direction and the jet direction of the additional tuyere extends substantially perpendicular to the weft insertion direction.
  • the weaving machine comprises relay nozzles and the additional blowing nozzle is arranged in a row with the relay nozzles.
  • the jet direction of the additional blowing nozzle is adjustable.
  • the additional blowing nozzle is arranged to be adjustable along the weft insertion direction and / or in the height and / or in the warp direction.
  • the weaving machine comprises a batten with stop position and a separating device for separating registered weft threads
  • the weaving machine and / or the device for inserting one or more weft thread ends comprise a controller, which additional tuyere after the separation of the inserted weft threads, preferably during or after the insertion of the weft thread ends, turns on.
  • the controller turns off the additional tuyere before the sley reaches the stop position.
  • the invention further comprises a device for inserting one or more weft thread ends and for forming a fabric edge in a weaving machine with a shed and a shed tip, which device comprises a mechanical, pneumatic or pneumomechanical insert, and at least one additional blowing nozzle, which is designed such that the jet direction of the additional blowing nozzle can be aligned in the direction of the shed tip and the additional blowing nozzle can be inserted within the width of the fabric, in particular within the width of the fabric edge.
  • the additional blowing nozzle is formed such that a nozzle opening thereof is insertable within the shed, in particular that a nozzle opening thereof is insertable within the shed without causing tissue defects in a tissue to be formed.
  • the jet direction of the additional blowing nozzle is adjustable.
  • the additional blowing nozzle is elongated and provided with a fastening which is designed such that the additional blowing nozzle is adjustable in the direction of the elongate extent and / or in a direction perpendicular to the elongate extent and to the beam direction.
  • the invention comprises a method for inserting one or more weft ends and for forming a fabric edge in a loom, in which method a weaving shed is formed on the weaving machine and inserted the weft ends by means of a mechanical, pneumatic or pneumo-mechanical insert into the shed become.
  • the weft thread ends are blown into the shed tip by means of at least one additional blowing nozzle, which is arranged within the fabric width, in particular within the width of the fabric edge, and whose jet direction is directed towards the shed tip.
  • the weft ends are through the additional tuyere held in the sheaf tip.
  • the additional blowing nozzle comprises a nozzle opening which is arranged within the shed, in particular such that no fabric defects are generated by the additional blowing nozzle.
  • the weft threads are entered, struck and separated and the additional tuyere is turned on after the separation of the inserted and damaged weft threads, preferably during or after insertion of the weft ends.
  • the additional tuyere is turned off before the striking of the subsequently inserted weft threads is completed.
  • the weaving machine according to the invention and the device and the method for inserting one or more weft ends according to the present invention have the advantage that the weft thread ends can be blown particularly effectively against the shed tip and smoothed and held there by the at least one additional blowing nozzle.
  • the arrangement of the additional tuyere within the fabric width allows an optimal jet direction for smoothing and holding the weft ends and a shorter distance to the thread tip, which can be better controlled thereby. Thanks to the better control of the thread tip, the so-called bleeding of the thread ends can be largely avoided. This can effectively reduce tissue defects as a result of improperly inserted weft ends.
