Procédé d'enveloppement de marchandises isolées ou de colis (3), présentant un tronçon de feuille élastique (25) au moins sensiblement en forme de coiffe ramassé en des plis (26), par fronçage, puis étiré et tendu au-dessus des marchandises isolées ou des colis (3), ledit tronçon de feuille plissé (25) étant étiré au moyen d'un système (1) de déploiement sus-jacent mobile le long des marchandises isolées ou des colis (3), et déployé au-dessus desdites marchandises isolées ou desdits colis (3), et ledit système (1) de déploiement sus-jacent comprenant quatre doigts tendeurs (2) qui sont mobiles dans le plan perpendiculaire à la direction (5) de déploiement sus-jacent et comportent, respectivement, un élément de tension (4) en forme d'étrier, s'étendant pour l'essentiel dans ce plan, et un élément d'appui (6) en forme de cintre fixé à l'élément précité et s'étendant pour l'essentiel avec orientation dans la direction (5) de déploiement sus-jacent, de manière à recevoir le tronçon de feuille plissé (25) dans les régions correspondant respectivement aux coins des marchandises isolées ou des colis (3) devant être enveloppé(e)s, et à le déployer ensuite au-dessus desdites marchandises isolées et desdits colis (3), sachant qu'un système (14) de verrouillage à demeure du type mâchoire, situé sur au moins un doigt tendeur (2), ceinturant au moins partiellement la zone d'angle dudit doigt tendeur (2) et pouvant être appliqué de l'extérieur contre ledit tronçon de feuille (25), au moins dans la région du pli (26a) devant être rabattu sur les marchandises isolées ou les colis (3) et le plus éloigné desdites marchandises isolées ou desdits colis (3) peu avant que la position de déploiement sus-jacent soit atteinte, et notamment dans la région non pliée dudit tronçon de feuille (25), adjacente à ce pli (26a), est prévu pour le verrouillage par coincement, au stade de l'étirage, de la région correspondante du tronçon de feuille (25) sur les doigts tendeurs (2) ; sachant qu'au moins un système (14) de verrouillage à demeure est appliqué contre le tronçon de feuille (25) préalablement à l'étirage dudit tronçon de feuille (25), en vue de la consignation à demeure dans la région du doigt tendeur (2) correspondant, puis est éloigné dudit tronçon de feuille (25) après que ledit tronçon de feuille (25), sensiblement en forme de coiffe, a été mis en contact avec les marchandises isolées ou les colis (3) ; et sachant que, pour éviter des détériorations dudit tronçon de feuille (25), la face dudit système (14) de verrouillage à demeure, pouvant être mise en contact avec ledit tronçon de feuille (25), possède un revêtement tendre (28) tel qu'une mousse de caoutchouc, par exemple, ou bien également d'autres revêtements.
  10. Procédé selon la revendication 9, caractérisé par le fait que, peu avant l'éloignement du tronçon de feuille (25) de la zone d'intervention du système (14) de verrouillage à demeure, au moins un système (14) de verrouillage à demeure est de nouveau appliqué contre ledit tronçon de feuille (25) dans la région du doigt tendeur (2) correspondant, après levée des plis (26), en vue de la consignation à demeure dudit tronçon de feuille.
