- US5419414 shows an elevator installation with several superimposed in a shaft arranged cabins.
- the cabins are moved independently.
- each Cabin has a drive and a counterweight.
- the cabins are over ropes connected as a conveyor with counterweights. So all cabins are the same Floors of the building can serve above and below those of the Cabins served floors provided alternate spaces.
- first Cabins move into these alternate spaces and more cabins can take to the place be moved in the shaft of the first cabins.
- the drives are above the Shaft mounted. This elevator system achieved by increasing the number of Cabins in the shaft increase the flow rate.
- a disadvantage of the teaching according to US5419414 is that the assembly of several Drives in a machine room above the shaft is expensive. Such a Engine room is often difficult to access. For example. need the drives for the Transportation will be disassembled into the engine room to allow it through corridors and doors fit which corridors and doors are on the way to the engine room. Also is disadvantageous that the presence of a machine room above the shaft as well as the provision of alternative spaces in the shaft the potentially usable Building space keeps low. In particular, floors that are at height the alternative rooms are not accessible from the cabins. From these Disadvantages follows that the reinstallation and modernization of such Elevator system caused high costs.
