Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel injection valve according to the preamble of claim 1.
- an electromagnetic fuel injection valve and a fastening structure suitable therefor are known with which the requirements for the sealing effect, the thermal resistance and the pressure resistance are fulfilled for an internal combustion engine having a cylinder injection system. Particular care is taken in the sealing of the area in the immediate vicinity of the cylinder, in which the electromagnetic fuel injection valve is mounted, as well as on an area further away.
- a first sealing portion with a first sealing ring which is designed as a corrugated washer, is located at a location close to the cylinder and between the fuel injection valve and the cylinder head.
- a second sealing portion with a second sealing ring which is also designed as a corrugated washer, positioned at a location which is farther from the cylinder than the first sealing portion.
- a disadvantage of the from the DE 196 00 403 A1 known fuel injection valve is in particular the high coking tendency of the formed between the fuel injection valve and the wall of the cylinder head gap downstream of the sealing ring, resulting in a considerable force and possible damage during disassembly of the fuel injection valve from the cylinder head.
- nozzle body having a surface which faces the combustion chamber and is provided with an adhesion-reducing coating to prevent fuel deposits known.
- the coating is applied only on the tip of the nozzle body.
- the fuel injection valve according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that a patch on the tip of the fuel injection valve and the annular gap between the fuel injection valve and the cylinder wall filling coating prevents the penetration and subsequent burning of fuel in the annular gap. As a result, on the one hand, the deposition of coking residues in the annular gap can be avoided and, on the other hand, the thermal load of the sealing ring can be reduced.
- the coating can be solid or pasty or liquid, depending on the requirements placed on it.
- the coating fills the entire downstream part of the annular gap, so that any penetration of mixture is prevented.
- Teflon ® layer may be carried out, which may be integrally formed with the also made of Teflon ® seal.
- a fuel injection valve 1 is in the form of a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of mixture-compression spark-ignition internal combustion engines.
- the fuel injection valve 1 is suitable for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber 18 of an internal combustion engine.
- the fuel injection valve 1 comprises a nozzle body 2 and a valve housing 3. On the inflow side, an inlet nozzle 4 is formed, in which an intermediate sleeve 5 is arranged for connection of the fuel injection valve 1 with a fuel distributor line 6.
- Support members 9 and 10 ensure a correct mounting position of the above components to each other.
- the fuel injection valve 1 is inserted into a cylinder head 11 of the internal combustion engine and is fixed there by means of a hold-down only 12, which may be formed, for example, as a clamping claw or spring sleeve, fixed and secured against rotation.
- annular gap 14 is formed, which must have a certain width, so on the one hand, the fuel injector 1 without too much effort, which u. U. could lead to damage to the fuel injection valve 1, is mountable, and on the other hand, a thermal expansion of the components in the heating by the operation of the internal combustion engine allowed.
- a sealing ring 15 is provided, which is arranged in a recess 16 of the nozzle body 2 of the fuel injection valve 1.
- the sealing ring 15 is preferably made of Teflon® in order to achieve a reliable sealing effect with high stability.
- Outflow side of the sealing ring 15 of the annular gap 14 is inventively filled by a coating 17, which prevents the fuel-air mixture penetrates into the annular gap 14 and burns after ignition of the mixture in the combustion chamber 18 mixture cloud under deposition of coking residues.
- a coating 17 which prevents the fuel-air mixture penetrates into the annular gap 14 and burns after ignition of the mixture in the combustion chamber 18 mixture cloud under deposition of coking residues.
- the entire room must not be filled, as otherwise installation tolerances can not be compensated (eg tilting of the injection valve).
- the coating 17 reduces too high a thermal load on the sealing ring 15, which occurs when the internal combustion engine is put into operation.
- the coating 17 must therefore preferably be temperature-resistant up to 200 ° C. and be resistant to the combustion chamber atmosphere, so that a possible contact between the mixtures present in the combustion chamber 18 and the material of the coating 17 does not have a destructive effect.
- the coating 17 can either be applied to the nozzle body 2 of the fuel injection valve 1 before assembly, or else it is introduced into the annular gap 14 after installation of the fuel injection valve 1.
- the coating 17 may thus be either solid or pasty and brushable or liquid. It can for example be injected from a tube or a similar device in the annular gap 14.
- the coating may consist of a thin Teflon® layer.
- Teflon® layer may consist of Teflon® layer.
- Teflon ® sealing ring 15 it is also conceivable to form these integrally with the likewise made of Teflon ® sealing ring 15.
- the coating 17 is attached to the downstream end of the nozzle body 2 of the fuel injection valve 1 so that it occupies the outflow side of the sealing ring 15 extending part of the annular gap 14 completely on the entire axial length between the sealing ring 15 and the combustion chamber 18. As a result, any penetration of mixture into the annular gap 14 is prevented.
- the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment and for any construction of fuel injectors 1, for example, for fuel injectors 1 with connection to a common rail system, applicable.

Description
