Definitions
- the invention relates to a radial fan with a housing and an axially arranged therein Air inlet, an air outlet, a radially and axially expanding Pressure chamber and a hollow cylindrical pot area for inserting a wheel.
- Generic radial fans are used to air, another gas such as methane or suck in and further convey an air-gas mixture from a working environment, where both the flow rate and the pressure of the pumped medium increases.
- the invention is based on a radial fan with a housing and an axially arranged therein Wheel directed, the housing having an axial air inlet, an air outlet, a floor area with a floor reference surface orthogonal to the axis and has a spiral pressure space guided radially around the wheel, the extends to the air outlet; and the wheel facing the air intake Cover plate and a support plate; which is characterized in that the spiral pressure chamber both in the radial direction from the axis as well expanded in the axial direction towards the air outlet, whereby the axial expansion extends over at least 180 ° of the spiral circumference; and in the bottom area in axial A hollow cylindrical pot area is sunk in the direction beyond the floor reference surface is in which the wheel is inserted so that an inside of the support plate of the Rads runs flush with the ground reference surface.
- the basic wheel blower according to the invention is characterized by two aspects. This is, on the one hand, the flush closure of the air outlet openings of the impeller the so-called ground reference area. This is generally defined as the area of the Bottom if there are no depressions in the form of the hollow cylindrical pot and (optional) would have the pressure chamber expansion. The one sucked in by the wheel during operation Air can thus go directly into the airspace without having to overcome an obstacle enter. On the other hand, this arrangement prevents the Air thrown out of the wheel excessively under the wheel's wheel can reach what would reduce the efficiency of air production.
- Another aspect of the invention is that of widening to the air outlet opening Optimizing the print room.
- Pressure spaces known that extend in the radial direction, i.e. removing from the bike, expand towards the air outlet.
- the axis of rotation is arranged under the axis or axially in the sense of the present invention of the wheel or the imaginary center of rotation of the air in a spiral To understand pressure room.
- the floor reference surface is an imaginary surface, which is the interior surface of the housing would be if the bottom had no recesses, such as the hollow cylindrical one Pot and / or would have the axial expansion of the pressure chamber.
- the Ground reference surface is used as a reference surface to describe various elements of the radial fan according to the invention can be used.
- the radial direction in For the purposes of the present invention, one is radially extending away from the axis Direction.
- the axial direction is one parallel to the axis in one of two possible directions direction.
- Tangential directions in the sense of the present invention are those that are tangents represent an intended or actual scope.
- the wheel is advantageously inserted into the hollow cylindrical pot area in such a way that between the circumference of the supporting disc, which is completely sunk in the pot area and the side wall of the pot area has the smallest possible space is whose width results from precision movements of the wheel during turning operation results.
- the pressure space expands advantageously in the axial direction over the floor reference area out. In this way, the expansion of the pressure chamber comes next to the hollow cylindrical one Pot area to lie because both extend in the same axial direction.
- the pressure space is delimited by a wall in the radial expansion area, which Ground boundary area defined.
- the pressure chamber can also extend in the axial direction into the cover area of the housing.
- the wheel advantageously has blades that are arrow-shaped on the wheel circumference Have the outer edge of the bucket.
- the outer edge of the blade the for example, the most protruding point in the middle (Blade tip)
- the air conveyed by the blades is in one Ejected angle, the synchronous impact of the entire air front on the Prevents housing wall and thus reduces operating noise.
- the blades are in relation to the operating direction of rotation of the wheel is curved backwards in order to produce efficient air emissions to allow the paddle spaces of the wheel.
- the exit angle that a tangent on the outer edge with a tangent on The circumference of the wheel at the point of the outer edge is preferably ⁇ 35 °, for example 25-30 ° and in a particularly preferred embodiment 22 °.
- the entry angle that a tangent to an inner edge of the blade has with a tangent on the circumference of the wheel at the point of the inner edge is preferably 17-35 °, in particular, this starting angle can be 24 °.
- Top view on the wheel or the air inlet
- the exit angle then is preferably about 90 ° and the air output with lower efficiency is increased.
- All blades of a wheel can have the same length and therefore in circumferences start or end with respect to the axis of rotation of the wheel for all blades are the same size.
- the wheel alternates shorter and longer blades arranged, the outer edges all on the same circumference and the inner edges of the blades radially offset from each other are.
- a tongue is arranged in the housing, which is essentially in extends in the circumferential direction into the pressure chamber, and one formed by the tongue Leading edge in lateral projection over its course different angles with the Floor reference plane of the fan forms.
- Such a tongue basically serves the separation of the pressure space from the rest of the housing space, i.e. the area of the housing in which there is a pressure which is lower than that at the end of the Pressure chamber in front of the air outlet.
- the tongue is intended to prevent a short circuit flow. This measure also completes the funnel shape of the pressure chamber and additionally increases the air output.
- the different ones Angle of the leading edge results in a non-linear profile of this leading edge a particularly favorable form in terms of efficiency and noise reduction of the invention Wheel blower.
- the tongue faces the one opposite the air inlet Wall was the smallest and the largest in the area of the air outlet Height so that, what is extremely important for the effect, it is an inclined ramp having..
- the tongue would best do its job of preventing short circuit flow meet if it were arranged as close as possible to the wheel. This would, however the disadvantage of enormous noise must be accepted. Therefore, the general aim is to design the tongue so that the tongue is as small as possible or optimized noise development with the best possible prevention of the short-circuit flow is achieved.
- the leading edge forms at least one step in a lateral projection, in which the angle with the ground reference surface in a region of the leading edge is essentially 90 °.
- leading edge in the lateral projection at least one Plateau forms, in which the angle with the Ground reference area is essentially 0 °.
- the vertical area of the leading edge can e.g. 12 cm have a height of 4 mm, while the plateau is approx. 12 mm above the ground reference surface extends over a length of approx. 18 mm.
- the oblique area of the Leading edge measured from its beginning on the ground reference level to the step, can e.g. 20 mm, while the height from the plateau to the top of the Leading edge e.g. Can be 16 mm.
- the leading edge has a bump, especially in combination with certain wheel types. So it is preferred that the wheel has blades that have an arrow-shaped outer edge of the blade on the wheel circumference have (see above) and the blade tip on the outer edge of the blade does not the same orthogonal distance (measured in a right-angled direction) to the ground reference plane has like a tip of the bump of the leading edge.
- the relative Arrangement of the blade tip and the hump offset from each other contributes to an additional Noise reduction.
- the hump or the corner of the step is at a height that is about two thirds of the height of the Make out the blades, measured from the support disc to the cover disc.
- the inclination of the outer edge of the blades of the Rads forms an angle greater than 0 ° with the leading edge, i.e. the two are not to each other run parallel.
- This can either be with respect to any tangent pair of Points on the outer edge and points on the leading edge with the same orthogonal Distance to ground reference area apply or for average slope lines of the outer edge and leading edge, either in their entirety or over partial areas considered, for example up to the hump and from the hump to the top edge or from the wheel support disk to the blade tip and from the blade tip to Raddeckusion.
- the housing has a cover and an air guide ramp is arranged on the cover, which creates a smooth transition between the cover and the air outlet. thats why the air guide ramp is preferably arranged in the area of the lid that immediately is at the air outlet.
- Such a configuration is particularly useful if if the entire opening of the air outlet is in the housing and otherwise one edge due to the frame of the opening would be inevitable.
- the air outlet between the housing and cover is divided or the Lid is approximately the same size as the other part and therefore two housing halves such a guide ramp is not absolutely necessary.
- the cover disk of the wheel advantageously has an axially arranged air intake opening on and the cover plate on the wheel of the air intake opening is in the axial direction bulged to the housing and at the periphery of the air inlet is a U-shaped Profile provided with which the edge of the air intake in a sealing manner Intervention stands.
- This arrangement of the wheel cover and air intake can an unwanted strong side flow of air through this otherwise existing gap between the wheel and the air intake can be prevented.
- the radial fan can also guide a device in the pressure chamber an air flow in the pressure chamber towards the air outlet.
- the control device can have, for example, at least one lead-out bead and one lead-in bead.
- the diversion bead is on at least one housing wall between the air outlet (or its opening) and the air inlet. Through this diversion bead the air flow is prevented from at least to the rotating impeller Part to be drawn back into the pressure chamber area of the air inlet.
- the inlet bead begins in certain embodiments on the inner radius of the Ausleitwulstes and radially outward essentially follows an ideal flow thread.
- the intake air in the blower housing is not only through the blades of the impeller, but also through appropriate flow lines directed to the free pressure space without mixing with it already compressed intake air takes place.
