Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of flexible packaging, typically bags. These pouches are formed from monolayer or multilayer web materials, comprising all or part of plastic films. It relates more particularly to the opening of the bags, in the case where the opening comprises the tearing of the strip material forming the bag, the strip material constituting the bag being selected from manually tearable materials.
  • Tircell In the case of easily tearable materials, there is also known an opening means commonly referred to as "Tircell” ® typically consisting of a strip with mechanical characteristics greater than those of the material to tear, fixed to the material to be ripped, and comprising a free end for manually pulling on the strip and thus tearing said material.
  • pre-incision techniques tending to weaken locally a material, for example by laser, so as to facilitate the opening or tearing of a plastic film.
  • WO-A-0 132 521 discloses a sachet comprising two side walls, a bottom and a filling opening, able to be closed after packaging the product in said package, said bag being formed from a strip-like material manually, each side wall including tear-guiding means at the first opening, said guiding means being made either by using strip material oriented in the tear direction, or by using the pre-incision technique tending to locally weakening the strip material, either by attaching a strip with mechanical characteristics greater than that of the strip material to the inner or outer surface of the web material forming the bag.
  • pre-incised lines they are known on the one hand to require expensive equipment, on the other hand, to be of delicate implementation insofar as a high accuracy and regularity of the depth of incision is required, and finally, to mechanically weaken the material possibly to a large width, which may be detrimental to maintaining the integrity of the package throughout its lifetime.
  • the applicant has therefore sought a more efficient, reliable and high productivity industrial, to solve the problems posed by the state of the art, and in particular by the use of the laser.
