Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for dispensing a liquid active ingredient into the rinsing water of a toilet bowl according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a device for dispensing a liquid agent into a toilet bowl having a distributor plate crossed by capillaries. These capillaries are associated with a spike-like extension which dips into an opening of a reservoir for the liquid active ingredient. In this way, it is achieved that the capillaries absorb the liquid active ingredient until they are filled. If the liquid active ingredient is rinsed off from the distributor plate by actuation of the toilet flushing or if it partially evaporates, then a corresponding amount of liquid active ingredient will run from the storage container. This prevents an uncontrolled release of the liquid active ingredient from the storage container. If the device is also intended to effect room freshening, the amounts of active substance absorbed in the capillaries are generally insufficient.
  • the device according to claim 1 has a reservoir, which is provided on the underside with an opening.
  • This reservoir is preferably made of transparent plastic in order to easily check the level.
  • the opening is usually closed by a plug, which can be pushed away during insertion.
  • the reservoir is inserted into a support body, which in particular has fastening means for fixing the device at the edge of the toilet bowl.
  • a sealant is provided in the support body and / or on the reservoir, which prevents the storage container in the installed state, an uncontrolled escape of the liquid active ingredient.
  • a distributor plate is held on the underside, which distributes the dispensed from the reservoir liquid active substance on a corresponding surface.
  • the distributor plate capillaries, which are connected via distributor channels with the opening of the reservoir. These capillaries ensure that a predetermined amount of liquid agent is on the surface of the distributor plate. This amount depends in particular on the shape and size of the capillaries and on the viscosity of the liquid active ingredient.
  • the capillaries are doing in an area of the toilet bowl, which is detected by the rinse water. By operating the rinse, the rinse water runs over the distributor plate and takes the liquid active ingredient out of the capillaries. Subsequently, the capillaries take over the distribution channels the reservoir again a well-defined amount of liquid active ingredient.
  • the liquid agent contains fragrances, among other things, they should be effectively released into the surrounding air.
  • a large number of capillaries is required, which are arranged close to each other.
  • the distributor channels are repeatedly branched one behind the other and each connected to at least two Kapillarrinnen.
  • the distribution channels in the distributor plate branch at an acute angle and in the region of each branching a wedge is formed. Due to the acute-angled branch, the liquid active substance continues to flow in approximately the same direction and experiences no resistance, as in the case of a right-angled branch.
  • the branching by a molded Kell has proved to be very advantageous because the direction of flow is hardly changed when the wedge is preferably aligned parallel to the longitudinal extent of Kapillarrinnen and a clear separation is given.
  • the cross section should not be oversized.
  • the distributor channels before each branch, the distributor channels have to transport correspondingly more liquid active substance than after the corresponding branching, where the liquid flow is distributed over correspondingly more lines. It is therefore advantageous according to claim 3, if the distributor troughs have a smaller cross-section after each branching than before the branching. This ensures that the capillaries are sufficiently supplied by the distribution channels with the liquid agent.
  • the sum of the cross sections of the branched distribution channels is at least as large as the cross section of the unbranched distribution channel.
  • the cross-section of the partial gutters is at least half as large as that of the unbranched distribution troughs.
  • the liquid active substance transported by the distributor channel can therefore pass through the branch unhindered.
  • the cross sections of the branched distribution channel are dimensioned such that their sum is slightly larger than the cross section of the unbranched distribution channel. In this way, the capillary forces increasing with decreasing channel cross-section are taken into account.
  • the distributor channels extending from the annular channel have a cross section between 0.2 mm 2 and 1 mm 2 .
  • the partial troughs In the case of a branching of the distributor trough on two sub-troughs, the partial troughs have a cross-section between 50% and 80%, preferably by 60% of the unbranched distributor trough. These sub-channels preferably open into a second branch, followed directly by the capillaries. These capillaries have a cross section which is preferably 25 to 50% (in particular about 30%) of the unbranched distributor trough.
  • the distributor and / or capillaries are formed in cross-section V-shaped.
  • This V-shape also has the added advantage that these grooves exert particularly effective capillary forces on the liquid agent.
  • the opening angle of these grooves between 40 ° and 120 °, in particular, an opening angle of 80 ° is desired. With larger opening angle, the donating surface of the liquid active ingredient is also larger.
  • the distributor run channels for supplying the capillary directly opposite the annular groove substantially radially to the annular groove, while the Vertellerrinnen emanate almost tangentially from the annular groove to supply the peripheral capillaries.
  • the Vertuellerrinnen open approximately in alignment with the capillaries to keep flow resistance small.
  • This wall partially overlaps the supporting body laterally and forms a trough for the liquid active substance on three sides.
  • This wall extends along the opposite side of the capillaries, which is directed in the toilet bowl to the center. In addition, this wall extends partially over the subsequent end faces to form a conclusion even at these locations. In principle, it is conceivable to also guide the wall parallel to the capillaries.
  • a Dichtungsnut- is formed in the distributor plate, in which engages a correspondingly shaped sealing lip of the support body. This sealing lip, together with the sealing groove and the boundary wall, a labyrinth for the liquid active ingredient, so that it can not escape at the opposite side of the capillaries of the device.
  • the channel is formed only as a frontal closure in front of the capillaries, wherein the channel has a low point, in which the downwardly sweeping siphon is provided.
  • the siphon is fitted in the channel so that its overflow edge remains below the capillaries, so that the trailing liquid runs only deliberately through the siphon and does not drip over the side edges.
  • the gutter could include the capillaries on three sides, which would provide increased security and still remain small in design.
  • the groove formed as a shaft is incorporated in the distributor plate and this results in a smaller structural unit. Because only a small amount of liquid runs after the rinsing process, a small shaft integrated into the capillary inside area, in which the siphon is inserted, is sufficient.
  • FIG. 1 shows a device 80 for dispensing a liquid active substance.
  • the device 80 consists of a support body 1, on the underside of a distributor plate 20 is fixed. On the support body 1, a resilient bracket 40 is provided which serves to lock the device 80 at the edge of a toilet bowl, not shown. In the support body 1, a reservoir 60 is inserted, which contains the liquid active ingredient.
  • the device 80 will be explained in more detail below with reference to the detailed representations according to FIGS. 2 to 5.
  • FIG. 2 shows the support body 1 of the device 80.
  • This support body 1 has a bottom 2, from which four side walls 3, 3a extend upwards.
  • locking lugs 4 are integrally formed on the inside, which serve for arresting recording of the reservoir 60.
  • a dashed lines shown inwardly cross-tubular receptacle 5 is formed, within which the bottom 2 is broken.
  • two outer rails 6 are provided approximately in the middle in the upright direction, the small distance from each other and are used to hold the resilient bracket 40.
  • These mounted on the side wall 3 rails 6 are angled at its free end 16 to each other, so that they can serve as a guide and holding means for a plug rail or bracket.
  • locking means 8 are integrally formed on the rails 6 in the form of protruding teeth. This latching means 8 are used in conjunction with set in series latching grooves 42 on the resilient bracket 40 for fixing the height-adjustable in the rails 6 bracket 40, which will be discussed later.
  • the three side walls 3, 3 a have a step-like narrowing 14 on the underside, which serves to adapt the distributor plate 20 to the carrier body 1.
  • this step-like taper 14 could run around the entire support body 1.
  • a sealing lip 15 is formed on the side walls 3, 3a on the underside, which forms a liquid-tight connection of the support body 1 with the distributor plate 20 when these are plugged together.
  • the plug-in mandrel 24 has three longitudinal grooves 25 distributed over its circumference, which together with a sealing cap surrounding an opening of the storage container 60 form flow channels for the liquid active substance. These drain channels open into an annular groove 26, which is arranged concentrically around the plug pin 24. In this annular groove 26, the liquid agent exiting from the reservoir 60 collects.
  • each distributor channel 27 supplies four Kapillarrinnen 30.
  • the branched distribution channels 27 have a depth of about 0.8 mm at an opening angle of about 80 °.
  • the capillaries 30 have a depth of about 0.6 mm at an opening angle of 80 °.
  • the distribution channels 27 open approximately in alignment with the capillaries 30 in the branches 28, 29, so that the ends 32 are parallel to each other. In the region of the annular groove 26, the distributor grooves 27 have an approximately equal distance from each other. Those distributor channels 27a closest to the capillaries 30 extend approximately radially from the annular groove 26 and open into the central capillaries 30. Those distributor channels 27b, which supply the outermost capillaries 30, extend almost tangentially from the annular groove 26 path. The distributor channels 27 located between the distributor channels 27a and 27b are set at an angle to the annular groove 26, which successively decreases from the distributor channel 27a to the distributor channel 27b. In this way, a fountain-like structure of the Verteilerrinnen 27, which emanate from the annular channel 26 and open into the Kapillarrinnen 30.
  • the distribution plate 20 has on its two sides as a boundary to the Kapillarrinnen 30 walls 33 of low height, which prevent uncontrolled lateral flow of the liquid active ingredient.
  • a termination edge 35 is provided on the distributor plate 20, which has an arcuate course. This end edge 35 is substantially adapted to the shape of the toilet bowl and slightly angled up to the free end, so that dripping is prevented.
  • FIG. 5 shows the storage container 60, which can be inserted into the carrier body 1.
  • the reservoir 60 is relatively narrow in order to hineininzuragen as little as possible in the toilet bowl.
  • the reservoir 60 has in the wall stiffening ribs 61 which extend arcuately and diverge substantially radially. They can be formed shaped. These stiffening ribs 61 provide for a stiff-walled design of the reservoir 60 and at the same time for an attractive decoration.
  • the stiff-walled design of the reservoir 60 is particularly important because it consists of transparent plastic, in particular PVC, which usually has a lower inherent rigidity.
  • a transparent design of the reservoir 60 is important in order to check the level in the reservoir 60 can.
  • the reservoir 60 ribs 63, which allow a better gripping the reservoir 60. This is advantageous when the reservoir 60 is to be replaced and therefore must be removed from the support body 1.
  • latching depressions 64 are formed in the end faces 62 and interact with the latching lugs 4 of the carrier body 1. The latching depressions 64 ensure a perfect hold of the storage container 60 in the support body 1.
  • the reservoir 60 has a neck portion 65 in which an opening 66 is provided. Over the neck region 65, a sealing cap 67 is slipped, which is adapted to the receptacle 5 of the support body 1. Once the reservoir 60 is inserted into the support body 1, the sealing cap 67 ensures a tight connection between the reservoir 60 and the receptacle 5 of the support body. 1
