Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toilet basket with a flush water distribution element.
  • Active ingredient preparations of this type are used which, on the one hand, can be formed into dimensionally stable, non-deliquescent blocks and, on the other hand, have sufficient solubility so that a sufficient amount of active ingredients is released into the water during the short rinsing phase. It is also important that the active ingredient block remains unchanged after the rinsing process, with the exception of a fragrance release.
  • the preparation contains anionic and nonionic surfactants, perfume, cellulose powder, rinsing regulators, inorganic salts, complexing agents, acids that dissolve limescale, antimicrobial agents, plasticizers and other common additives.
  • the known toilet baskets for holding lumpy toilet cleaning blocks cannot usually be used for pastes or liquids.
  • the paste or liquid should not automatically flow or drip out of the basket after the flushing process has ended.
  • only a defined fraction of the liquid or paste should be dispensed with each flushing process. This released fraction of the active ingredient preparation should be the same as possible in each rinsing process.
  • Such toilet baskets for pasty or liquid preparations are made, for example DE19520145A1 or off EP1334239B1 known.
  • Out EP0960984A2 a toilet basket is known which has two chambers. The inlet openings are located on a removable cover part.
  • Out WO2008 / 080643A1 a modular system for dispensing preparations into the flushing liquid of a toilet bowl is known. The unit of the modular system comprises a storage container which has an outlet opening downwards. The dispensing of preparations takes place through a rinsing plate.
  • Out US1091265 a toilet basket with two containers is known. A container is separated from the water flow and has an opening at the top for dispensing fragrance. The other container has an inlet opening and several outlet openings through which the rinsing water washes the preparations.
  • Out WO2005 / 093176A1 a toilet basket is known for receiving a toilet block over which water can flow and a scent block. Both blocks are in the same container, which is formed from two half-shells.
  • a device for automatic cleaning of water closets with a chemical cleaning agent has two containers which, with a holding device (3), consist of two identical plastic halves that can be connected to one another, both halves forming one piece and along a straight, preferably the center line of the bottom of the container (1) for the cleaning agent and a flexible joint between the two parts forming line (4).
  • multi-chamber containers for the active substance preparations described at the beginning which are hung in the toilet bowl in such a way that the active substance is released from the toilet basket into the toilet bowl when the toilet bowl is flushed with water.
  • the uneven flow conditions within the flushing water flow can result in uneven emptying of the chambers, depending on the positioning of the toilet basket on the edge of the toilet bowl.
  • a major disadvantage of all these toilet baskets is therefore, as already mentioned at the beginning, that the dosage essentially depends on the respective local flow conditions in the toilet bowl during the flushing process.
  • the flow conditions can, however, be very different depending on the type of toilet and the positioning of the toilet basket in or on the toilet bowl. For example, it may happen that in some types of toilet no active ingredient is released from the toilet basket, because the toilet basket is not or not sufficiently overflowed with water during the flushing process and the dosing mechanism of the toilet basket is therefore not triggered.
  • the active ingredients are usually released from such toilet fresheners by the penetration of flushing water through openings in the toilet freshener, the active substances being dissolved and, when the flushing water escapes, discharged from the toilet freshener through corresponding outlet openings and washed away.
  • the flow conditions of the flushing water outlet from the edge of the toilet which are often very different locally, have different flow rates, which means that only a diffuse release of the active ingredients can be achieved. This uneven release of active ingredient is a major disadvantage.
  • toilet baskets for dispensing liquid or gel-like active ingredient preparations in which - depending on the design of the toilet basket - a distribution element can be provided so that in particular the liquid active ingredient preparations are dispensed by first dispensing the active ingredient preparation (s) distribute the distribution element in order to be subsequently overflowed by flushing water and discharged into the flushing water.
  • the degree of flushing depends largely on the position and the flow conditions in the toilet.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a toilet basket which ensures that the preparation is dispensed into the flushing water as evenly as possible.
  • a more uniform delivery of flushing water into the inlet openings of the container by a more uniform distribution of flushing water and / or more uniform flow distribution along the toilet basket is understood as a more uniform delivery of flushing water compared to a toilet basket without flushing water distribution element.
  • the toilet basket is designed to be elastic in such a way that it follows the contour of the toilet bowl when it is installed.
  • the toilet basket can be made of an elastic material or have spring points on which the toilet basket is movably supported.
  • the toilet basket can also consist of essentially dimensionally stable containers which are connected to one another via an elastic connection.
  • a container is understood to mean a packaging means that is suitable for at least partially enveloping and / or holding together a solid or gel-like preparation.
  • the toilet basket according to the invention has several containers. They are arranged next to one another, preferably on a line.
  • kits for receiving a preparation or preparations that differ from one another are provided on the toilet basket.
  • preparations that are not stable to one another can in particular be stored spatially separated from one another.
  • the containers are to be connected to one another in one piece.
  • the material bridge serves as a hinge around which the half-shells can be tilted and joined to form one or a plurality of containers.
  • the containers can be connected to one another via a web that does not carry water.
  • dimensionally stable containers can be formed which provide sufficient mechanical protection for the preparations stored in them, with the webs being able to form an elastic connection between the containers so that the toilet basket follows the contour of the toilet bowl when inserted.
  • one container is designed so that rinsing water can flow through it, i.e. it has at least one inlet opening for the entry of rinsing water into the container and at least one outlet opening for the exit of rinsing water loaded with preparation from the container.
  • the inlet openings of the container are located when the toilet basket is installed in the toilet outside of the rinse water flow.
  • no, or at least only a very small amount, of flushing water enters the container (s) through the inlet opening (s).
  • the containers essentially spherically.
  • a spherical design has proven to be particularly advantageous for evenly applying rinsing water to the container. This seems to be due in particular to the fact that the spherical surfaces of the containers reflect and guide rinsing water impacting particularly advantageously.
  • the spherical surfaces offer a comparatively low flow resistance, so that in regions in which a toilet basket designed in this way is exposed to a particularly large amount of flushing water, this is diverted to neighboring spherical containers via the spherical surface.
  • the rinsing water is refracted and reflected, in particular between adjacent spherical containers, in such a way that the rinsing water that hits it is evenly distributed between the containers. This will be discussed in more detail below.
  • the flushing water sub-element serves to equalize the flushing water flow emerging from the toilet, i.e. to direct the flow of flushing water from the outlet under the edge of a toilet bowl over the length of the toilet basket as evenly as possible into the inlet openings in order to ensure the most uniform possible dissolution or rinsing of the preparations from the toilet basket over its entire length.
  • the flushing water sub-element is designed in such a way that, when the toilet basket is suspended, flushing water is applied to it during flushing and the flushing water is evenly dispensed into the inlet openings of the container or containers.
  • the flushing water distribution element is designed as a baffle plate which, when flushing water hits it, generates spray water, which brings about a more even wetting or exposure of the containers or the inlet openings.
  • the flushing water distribution element is arranged below the inlet openings of the container.
  • the flushing water distribution element and the inlet openings are included designed in such a way that the flushing water gush from the toilet bowl is conducted from under the toilet rim via the flushing water distribution element to the inlet openings of the container of the toilet basket.
  • an edge is formed between the inlet openings and the flushing water distribution element which limits the direct inflow of flushing water from the flushing water distribution element into a container.
  • the amount of flush water that is fed into the container can be adjusted via the distance between the inlet openings and the flushing water distribution element, i.e. the height of the edge.
  • Rinse water which is directed to the inlet openings via the rinse water distribution element, is refracted and reflected at the edge that acts like a weir, which also contributes to a more even delivery of rinse water into the inlet openings.
  • the flushing water distribution element is arranged above the inlet openings of the container.
  • the flushing water distribution element and the inlet openings are designed in such a way that the flushing water gush from the toilet bowl is directed from under the toilet rim via the flushing water distribution element to the inlet openings of the toilet basket containers.
  • the flushing water distribution element is advantageously designed in the manner of a plate, slide, ramp or trough.
  • the flush water distribution element can have grooves running in the longitudinal direction of the toilet freshener.
  • flushing water distribution element can also be advantageous for the flushing water distribution element to be designed at least partially as a grid, in particular if the flushing water distribution element is arranged above the inlet openings of the container. This results in even dripping into the inlet openings or onto a preparation distribution element.
  • the flushing water distribution element can be provided jointly for all containers or separately for the containers. It is particularly advantageous to design the flushing water distribution element in one piece with the containers, since this avoids an additional assembly step.
  • the length of the distribution element corresponds essentially to the length of the toilet basket.
  • Solid preparations which are also commonly referred to as toilet blocks, are predominantly produced as pressed moldings, as extrudates or by means of casting processes. It is also conceivable to form such shaped bodies at least partially from a gel-like or liquid phase.
  • the core of a toilet block can consist of a gel that is deposited in a cavity of the toilet block, e.g. is fixed by gluing.
  • toilet blocks today have a cylindrical or bar-like shape.
  • the solid preparations can therefore have a spherical design.
  • the diameter of a preferred spherical toilet block is between 1 mm and 10 cm, preferably between 5 mm and 5 cm, particularly preferably between 1 cm and 3 cm.
  • Preparations for a toilet basket according to the invention usually contain substances such as e.g. Cleaning substances, enzymes, perfume oils, dyes, surfactants or foaming agents.
  • these can be natural perfume oils, dyes and surfactants.
  • the preparation preferably has a surfactant content of 2-50% by weight and / or a perfume oil content of 1-20% by weight and / or a dye content of 0.5-20% by weight.
  • the preparation comprises at least one enzyme in a concentration of 0.1 to 10% by weight.
  • a toilet block comprises at least one first water-soluble base body and at least one outer, water-soluble layer which at least partially covers the base body. It is very particularly preferred if the outer layer has different optical properties from the base body, such as color and / or gloss. This makes it possible to provide the user with an indicator function which, after a few flushes, shows how evenly the respective toilet stones in the toilet basket are overflowing and exposed to water, in order to be able to position the toilet freshener in the toilet bowl.
  • the outer layer of the toilet block preferably has a thickness between 10-1,000 ⁇ m, particularly preferably 20-500 ⁇ m, very particularly preferably 50-150 ⁇ m.
  • the layer preferably completely encloses the base body.
  • Preferred toilet blocks are further characterized in that the base body is a granulate and / or an extrudate and / or a pellet and / or a prill and / or a melt-cast molded body and / or a tablet.
  • the toilet basket according to the invention comprises a holder for fastening the toilet basket to the edge of the toilet bowl.
  • Such holders are usually designed as a rod-shaped element with two loops, so that the holder with the toilet basket can be clamped on the edge of the toilet by the spring action of the loops.
  • the holder comprises at least one spring element which, when the toilet freshener is installed in the toilet, has an essentially vertical or horizontal spring travel. Furthermore, it is very particularly preferred that the holder has at least two spring elements, with one spring element having an essentially vertical spring travel and one spring element having an essentially horizontal spring travel when the toilet freshener is installed in the toilet.

  • the rinsing water that has entered the container 3 loosens some of the preparation 4 stored in the container 3, the rinsing water loaded with preparation 4 leaving the container 3 via the outlet opening 6 and thus being released into the interior of the toilet bowl.
  • the flushing water distribution element 8 is shaped like a plate in the embodiment shown.
  • the flushing water distribution element 8 engages the flushing water flow of the toilet bowl, the main flow direction of the flushing water flow usually being directed downwards in the direction of gravity - as indicated by the arrow.
  • the flushing water flow is broken up by the flushing water distribution element 8, which acts like a baffle plate, and distributed over the surface of the flushing water distribution element 8.
