Definitions
- the invention relates to an artillery projectile according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the generic device is known as the artillery missile system MLRS 1/2. Its continuous rocket shell can be equipped from the still open rear behind the equipped with a time fuse ogive with canisters, which in turn are equipped with distribution units for ejecting different armor-piercing Wirkkörpem such as in particular from bomblets or anti-tank mines. Behind this axial stack of canisters, the rocket is then equipped with its motor, the housing is equipped in the rear with fold-out, parallel to the system axis curved Steuererrudem. The flexibility of such a system is limited, however, because the rocket shell is integral from the ogive to the separation point for the connection of the ejectable rocket motor.
- the carrier described in DE 38 08 796 A1 for equipping with various types of sub-projectiles to be distributed between a head piece, which forms the front end of the carrier, and a rear, provided with a tail unit tail, the optionally may have a drive.
- the carrier itself is formed integrally with its head piece and with its rear part, the adaptation to the different sub-projectiles to be distributed by engaging in the partition wall interior of the wearer. An exchange of the carrier as such for the shipment of different payloads is not addressed. As a result, the flight-dynamic behavior of the carrier is not influenced by use with different sub-projectiles.
- a problem of a completely different kind is the US 4,364,530 underlying avoidance of high apogee of the starting curve of a starting from a submarine or a surface ship to be launched seaplane to remain with the starting curve under the opponent's radar horizon and thereby not betray the starting coordinates.
- This is achieved by the fact that the existing rocket is equipped for launch backward with a thrust vector control module, which immediately after lifting the more or less vertical trajectory. Deflects in an approximately horizontal trajectory, then in the ascent of the airspeed rocket steering in a conventional manner with control wings in the middle or last range of the rocket and with tail fins in the rocket engine in front of the ejected booster.
- a mission-dependent exchange of the payload as in the prior art described above or even an exchange of the payload section as a whole is not addressed.
- the US 4,899,956 is not concerned with an optimization in the payload section of a projectile. Rather, it is envisaged to open the screw connection between the warhead and the much longer, behind it body of the rocket and there to screw a module by means of which the missile trajectory can be changed as a result of transversely oriented pulses. This interleaved module extends the rocket overall and thus affects their aerodynamic behavior, an influence or even optimization of the area in which the warhead is housed as the payload is not addressed.
- the present invention is based on the technical problem of creating a system that is more open with regard to the interchangeability of the warheads, which is distinguished, above all, by its long range and yet accurate delivery of the payload.
- This object is achieved according to the present invention in that according to the feature combination of the main claim of the payload space, the entire middle section of a ballistic to be fired and after apogee in a controlled gliding transition artillery projectile; this very different payload receiving section between a uniform for all payload standard tail section, which determines the outdoor ballistics immediately after leaving the gun barrel, and also for all payloads consistent standard top section, in turn with Canard-rowing for a controllable gliding and equipped with navigation devices such as inertial and / or satellite navigation for the most accurate payload delivery possible.
- the middle section which can be inserted interchangeably between these two standard end sections, contains in its hollow cylindrical shell at least one warhead of the sort of target-seeking submunition, a bundle of bomblets to be dispersed, a high-energy warhead or a post-acceleratable rod penetrator.
- a suitably-ventilated projectile casing of the center section is then flanged with the standard bottom section and the standard top section, for example connected by radial pins or by a type of bayonet coupling.
- the projectile has a uniform airframe for very different payloads and therefore, because of unchanged external ballistics, to handle problem-free to move out of the artillery gun regardless of the payload to be just spent.
- the schematic diagram shows in longitudinal section one of an artillery gun, so ballistically to be fired projectile 11, which is divided into three parts in the axial direction, namely an insertable between a rear section 12 and a tip section 13 load section 14 has.
- the load section 14 is thus no longer a loadable load space in a continuous projectile shell, but it embodies the completely exchangeable center region of the projectile 11 together with its wall 15th
- the useful space 16 within the wall 15 of the middle or load section 14 of the projectile 11 can be equipped with different warheads, as explained above, in particular with those against hard-armored target objects.
- a correspondingly labored load section 14 can then be equipped on the production side with the rear section 12 and with the tip section 13 in order to complete the projectile 11.
- the projectile 11 is equipped with rigid-axially parallel oriented, consisting of sheet steel stabilizing fins 17, which are applied to the firing from the barrel under spring tension to the cylindrical outer surface of the rear section 12.
- a cup-shaped hood 18 is pushed from the rear over the rear section 12 with these stabilizing fins 17 surrounding them peripherally.
- Their hollow-cylindrical annular wall 19 prevents the applied stabilizing fins 17 from being erected.
- a circumferential guide belt 21 is inserted in a in the outer circumferential surface of the annular wall 19 embedded radially flat, axially wide groove 20, a circumferential guide belt 21 is inserted. This is designed as a so-called. Slipping guide belt 21, so not rotatably connected to the projectile 11 to reduce the firing during the launch of the barrel of his trains caused stabilization spin to about 10% of the natural value, because the projectile 11 ballistic outside, so after leaving the Mouth of the gun barrel, not spin stabilized fly but should be aerodynamically stabilized by the then approximately radially exhibiting fins 17.
- annular wall 19 with respect to the projectile 11, that is, with respect to it Rear section 12 to be twisted; structurally simple, however, it is the hood 18 with the annular wall 19 rotatably set on the rear section 12 and to let slip the guide belt 21 in its groove 20.
- This erection can be done by centrifugal force to axially parallel hinges; It is more useful, however, to create the stabilizing fins 17 as already mentioned from spring plates, each rigidly connected to the rear section 12 along one edge (riveted, for example) and under relaxation, possibly also supported by a bending spring, from the of relax the annular wall 19 salaried system in a bent parallel to the projectile longitudinal axis 22 radially-projecting position.
- the tip section 13 is designed independently of the equipment of the load section 14 by default. It is equipped with Canard sliding wings 23, 24, for example, by a pivoting movement from the contour of the Ogive, as soon as the projectile 11 has flown through its Apogäum on its initial ballistic launcher.
- the Canards 23 serve both the gliding as well as the target drive. It takes place - first from the adjoining the apogee ballistic descent a transition into a stretched controlled gliding flight, so as to achieve a correspondingly flatter descent course, a correspondingly greater range.
- the specified target point is controlled by means of inertial or satellite navigation.
- This flight guidance is carried out by pivoting the glides 23 from the neutral position, parallel to the generatrix of the ogive 24, out by means of a steering transmitter 25, which in turn is controlled by a navigation device 26 to the projectile 11 then just before flying over the predetermined target point from the flat slideway to go into a steep attack path.
- a navigation device 26 to the projectile 11 then just before flying over the predetermined target point from the flat slideway to go into a steep attack path.
- a low-cost endphasenlenkbare artillery ammunition significantly increased range and acquisition accuracy for variable payload universal use under always the same aerodynamic behavior for maintaining the outer ballistic projectile coefficients thus results according to the invention, if an aerodynamically stabilized sliding projectile 11 between an initially determining the outer ballistics, standardized rear section 12 and one in the final phase range and precision determining, also standardized tip section 13 a two contours interconnecting load section 14 is inserted, which can be equipped with very different, especially against hard targets optimized warheads.
- the rear section 12 is equipped with overcaliber stabilizing fins 17, which are applied in the weapon barrel, in the transport position to the lateral surface of the rear section 12, overlapped by an annular wall 19, which with a slipping guide belt 21 to first swirl degradation is already equipped in the barrel.
- Canard sliding vanes 23 are issued from the tip section, by means of which a transition from the descending branch of the ballistic trajectory is controlled via a steering transmitter 25 in a flatter and therefore wider range, out of the finally navigationally controlled a steeper descent into a narrowly specified target area takes place, in which the load section 14 emits its payload.
