Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a machine for producing a fibrous web, in particular tissue or hygiene web.
The use of so-called through-flow or TAD drying devices (TAD = Through Air Drying) in paper machines is known (cf., for example, WO 97/03247, US 4,036,684). So far, the TAD units account for a majority of the total cost of the paper machine concerned. The energy requirement for a TAD machine with twin-wire former is very high, and in particular significantly higher than, for example, that for a crescent former. So far, for example, in a TAD machine about 12 vacuum pumps are needed to obtain the desired dry content and degree of purification.
In a conventional TAD machine with, for example, a twin-wire former, the web must be transferred from the forming zone to the TAD zone, with the desired dry content at the web transfer depending on the basis weight, for example, in a range of about 22 to about 26.5 % can lie. With this dry content, the web is then passed, for example, to a wet-squeegee effecting wet stamping and then to the TAD drum. The mentioned dry content is achieved so far but only with a relatively high energy consumption.
In a tissue machine known from US Pat. No. 6,103,062, the fibrous web is formed on a conventional porous covering. The porous fabric can be performed together with the fibrous web, for example via a suction box or the like. As a result of this covering, the fibrous web is then also placed on the TAD sieve.
In US-A-4 102 737 a tissue machine is described in which the fibrous web is formed between a wire and a dryer / embossing belt. The fibrous web does not have to be transferred to the embossing belt. There is only a separation of the wire from the fibrous web further leading to dry / embossing belt. The wire is a conventional porous tape.
The aim of the invention is to provide an improved method and an improved machine of the type mentioned, with which an optimum quality of the relevant end product can be achieved with the lowest possible energy consumption. In particular, the energy required in connection with the vacuum generation in the dewatering of the fibrous web energy consumption is to be reduced.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a method having the features of patent claim 1.
Due to the combination of the evacuated surface or the vacuum generated there with the fine-pored soft fabric results in minimal energy consumption an optimal dry content gain. When using a corresponding fine-pored soft fabric, in particular the capillary action of the fabric can be used for web drainage. Thus, the respective negative pressure is supported and promoted by this capillary action. In view of the lower energy requirement, there is also a smaller number of vacuum pumps for the forming zone. The dry content desired on transfer to the TAD section is thus achieved with a smaller number of vacuum pumps in the forming zone.
The transfer of the fibrous web to the TAD sieve takes place after the evacuated surface.
The evacuated surface is curved. It is preferably formed by a Saugleitwalze, a vacuumed shoe or the like.
According to a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the fibrous web is dewatered between two fabrics, which converge to form a fabric inlet gap and are passed over a forming element such as in particular a forming roller, wherein the fibrous web after the forming element by passing in contact with this inner fabric to besaugten area to be led. It is advantageous if the external covering which does not come into contact with the forming element is formed by a preferably water-permeable endless strip.
The forming element may be formed by a solid forming roll or a suction forming roll.
According to a preferred practical embodiment, the fibrous web is wet-embossed on the TAD screen.
The wet embossing can be done on and / or after the railway transfer point.
In certain cases, it is advantageous if the two fabrics have a different running speed in order to produce a creping effect acting on the fibrous web.
The fine-pored soft covering is formed by a felt, in particular a capillary felt, a capillary membrane and / or the like. Here, as a fine-pored soft covering, a coated sieve, e.g. a screen with foamed layer, and provided, for example, a felt with a foamed layer. In this case, the foam coating is preferably selected to give pores in a range of about 3 to about 6 microns. For dewatering, therefore, the corresponding capillary action is utilized. The felt is provided with a special foam layer which gives the surface very narrow pores whose diameter may be, for example, in the stated range of about 3 to about 6 microns. The air permeability of this felt is very low. It uses the natural capillary action to drain the web while in contact with the felt.
For wet embossing, at least one suction element disposed within the loop of the TAD screen may be used.
To support the web transfer, for example, a pickup or suction element may be provided in the region of the web transfer point within the loop of the TAD wire.
According to an expedient practical embodiment, at least one suction element serving for wet embossing of the fibrous web is provided in the region of the web transfer point and / or after this web transfer point within the loop of the TAD screen.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, a shoe press is provided in the region of the web transfer point, through which the fibrous web is led together with the fine-pored soft fabric and the TAD sieve.
It is advantageous, the viewed in the web running direction length of the press nips of the shoe press greater than a value of about 80 mm and preferably greater than or equal to about 85 mm and in particular greater than or equal to about 120 mm and the shoe press is designed so that over the Preßniplänge a pressure profile with a maximum pressing pressure results, which is less than or equal to a value of about 2.5 MPa and in particular less than 2 MPa at a press shoe length greater than or equal to about 120 mm. Thus, a gentle pressing is ensured with low pressing pressure and, due to the shoe length, a larger dwell or pressing time ensured, whereby the embossing effect is improved.
The shoe press advantageously comprises a shoe press unit, in particular a shoe press roll, and a co-operating therewith, arranged within the loop of the TAD wire screen. The pressing of the fibrous web between the structured TAD sieve and the fine-pored soft fabric causes the desired wet embossing. In this case, creping is not possible, i. there must be no speed difference between the fabrics.
In certain cases, it is also advantageous if the fibrous web both by means of the shoe press as well as by means of a provided for this Saugelements is wet embossed. So it is basically a wet stamping at different locations possible.
According to a preferred practical embodiment of the method according to the invention, a drainage screen with zonal different screen permeability is used as the outer covering not coming into contact with the forming element. In conjunction with the other features of the method, this results in the advantage of a higher water absorption rate of the fibrous web, i. in particular tissue or sanitary membrane.
Conveniently, after the TAD drying, the fibrous web is transferred from the TAD wire to a drying cylinder, in particular a Yankee cylinder. It can be provided in the transfer area within the loop of the TAD-sieve a preferably of a soft felt or a capillary felt, a shoe shoe comprehensive shoe press, especially shoe press. This ensures a reliable and gentle transfer of the web, which avoids that the generated by the wet embossing and the TAD process three-dimensional structure of the fibrous web and thus the web quality, in particular the water retention capacity, the water absorption rate and / or the like is reduced again.
In principle, however, the web transfer in question can also be ensured by a Saugpreßwalze, and in particular a non-evacuated press roll.
In addition, the object specified in the introduction is achieved by a machine having the features of

Thus, as fine-pored
For wet embossing, at least one suction element arranged inside the loop of the

The length of the press nip 44 of the

Incidentally, this embodiment, for example, have the same structure as that of FIG. 1. Corresponding parts are assigned the same reference numerals.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of a complete view of the
In addition, the
As can be seen from FIG. 3, the
The drying
