Vor Erreichen des Preßspaltes 4 umschlingt das Band 5 jedoch noch eine besaugte Vorrichtung 6 in Form einer besaugten Walze. Diese besaugte Walze entfernt einen wesentlichen Teil des Wassers aus dem Band 5 und eventuell sogar etwas aus der außen-liegenden Faserstoffbahn 1.
