Definitions
- the invention relates to a catching and holding device for the catch side Weft end according to the preamble of claim 1 and one Loom with such a catching and holding device. Further concerns the invention a method for holding and stretching the weft end and to remove the cut weft end.
- the ends of inserted weft threads on the catch side by means of a catch and Holding nozzle stretched and held until the weft threads hit and / or the ends are cut off.
- Conventional catch and hold nozzles are therefore often referred to as stretching nozzles.
- the weft ends are captured with a nozzle jet and in passed an opening of a collecting tube or channel and there through the Airflow of the jet stream maintained.
- a stretching nozzle is described in US Pat. No. 4,465,110 arranged end of a reed of an air jet loom is.
- the stretching nozzle comprises a carrier with a recess, the one Continuation of the guide channel forms in which the weft thread is guided during the entry, as well as a nozzle and a catch channel, which are arranged transversely to the firing direction and on opposite sides open into the recess.
- the cross section of the The guide channel necessarily has a certain size, which means that a relatively large distance between the outlet opening of the nozzle and the Catch opening of the catch channel results. To the weft end safely in the Bringing the catch opening requires a relatively large pressure, which leads to leads to a correspondingly high air consumption.
- the object of the invention is to provide a catching and holding device for the to provide the end of the weft end, which the Captures the weft end securely and with the greatest possible force in the Capture channel holds, and which with a compared to the prior art reduced air consumption can be operated.
- Another job of The invention is to provide a method by which the catch weft ends securely and with as much as possible large force in the canal, and which with a reduced air consumption compared to the prior art.
- this object is defined by that in claim 1 Catch and hold device and by that defined in claim 9 Procedure solved.
- the catching and holding device according to the invention for the catch side Weft ends in a weaving machine include a main nozzle with a local area of impact and a capture channel with one in the area of effect the main opening and a support on which the Main nozzle and the catch channel are arranged. It also includes fishing and Holding device an auxiliary nozzle with a local area of action and a or several guides, which are both one-sided and two-sided can be executed.
- the auxiliary nozzle and the guides are so on the Carrier arranged that a weft end, which is in the Area of action of the auxiliary nozzle is from an air jet of the auxiliary nozzle is brought into the area of action of the main nozzle along the guides.
- the catching and holding device is preferably on a weaving machine Woven saddle and reed attached, the catching and holding device so is arranged that the weft end by a stop movement the reed can be transported into the area of action of the auxiliary nozzle.
- the carrier preferably comprises a slot or a recess, for example a mouth-shaped recess, the main nozzle being one in nozzle jet outlet opening opening the slot or the recess includes and the associated capture channel one in the slot or the Recess opening catch opening.
- the beam directions are preferably the main and auxiliary nozzles parallel or at an acute angle to each other arranged or the main and the auxiliary nozzle are arranged so that the Projections of the beam directions on a plane form an acute angle.
- the main nozzle comprises a nozzle tube
- the front part of the nozzle tube can be used as a guide along which the weft end in the area of action of the main nozzle is promoted.
- the nozzle jet outlet opening is preferably the Main nozzle arranged in front of the catch opening of the catch channel and the distance between the nozzle jet outlet opening of the main nozzle and the Catch opening of the catch channel is not larger than the diameter of the Fang channel.
- the carrier with the Main nozzle, the catch channel, the auxiliary nozzle and the guide on the sley or arranged on the reed includes the catching and holding device additionally a stripping element fixed to the weaving machine, which is arranged so that the weft end at a Stop movement of the reed by means of the engagement element in the Area of action of the auxiliary nozzle is transportable.
- the catching and holding device additionally a Includes auxiliary nozzle and one or more guides, that is Weft end by a stop movement of the reed in the Area of action of the auxiliary nozzle transported, the weft end of one Air jet of the auxiliary nozzle along the guides in the area of effect Brought main nozzle and the weft end by an air jet Main nozzle blown into the trap, with the weft end is stretched and held.
- the Loom additionally a cutting device, the Weft end after catching by the catching and holding device is cut off by means of the cutting device, and the cut off End of weft from the air flow of the main nozzle through the catch channel is transported away.
- the auxiliary bar can be omitted.
- Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the present invention in Cross-section.

- the main nozzle 3 includes Embodiment a nozzle tube on one side of the recess 2a is arranged, and its outlet opening against one on the opposite side of the recess 2a located 5a catch opening Catch channel 5 is directed, the distance between the outlet opening the main nozzle 3 and the catch opening 5a advantageously smaller than that Diameter of the catch opening 5a is selected.
- the nozzle tube serves as an upper guide 6a around one to guide the inserted weft thread 9 to the catch opening 5a.
- the mouth-shaped Recess 2a includes a protruding part, the inclined inner surface serves as the lower guide 6b for the weft 9.
- the catch opening 5a is arranged immediately at the end of the guides 6a and 6b, so that a registered weft 9, along the guides in the recess 2a slides, is guided to the catch opening 5a.
- the auxiliary nozzle 4 opens in Embodiment immediately in front of the main nozzle 3 in the recess 2a, the jet directions of the main and auxiliary nozzles are parallel, so that a weft thread 9, which is in the effective range of the auxiliary nozzle 4 is from an air jet of the auxiliary nozzle along the guide 6a to Catch opening 5a and thus brought into the area of action of the main nozzle 3 becomes.
- a reed 8 is also shown in FIG Reed blades 8a and a guide channel 8b for the weft 9 located.
- the reed 8 is located with the inserted weft 9 after the weft insertion in one Starting position in which the weft thread has not yet been blown by an air jet the main or auxiliary nozzle is detected. Only by a stroke movement of the reed 8, the weft 9 is in a position 9 'in the effective area the auxiliary nozzle 4 transported.
- the catching and holding device 1 is so arranged that the registered weft 9 through the Stop movement of the reed in the recess 2a and in the Area of effect of the auxiliary nozzle 4 is transported.
- the meaning of Guides and the auxiliary nozzle 3 is understandable if you look realizes that the position of the inserted weft 9 in Guide channel 8b is subject to local scatter, and there is a certain time needs until the weft comes to rest after the entry.
- the auxiliary and main nozzle can also be used directly to be arranged next to the starting position 8b of the guide channel.
- the The jet direction of the auxiliary nozzle 4 is also at an acute angle to the main nozzle 3 be arranged. It is essential that the air flow of the auxiliary nozzle 4 Movement of the weft thread 9 is supported along the guide or guides and helps keep the weft safe in the effective range of the Bring main nozzle 3, and that the airflow of the auxiliary nozzle 4 the function the main nozzle 3 is not affected.
- the auxiliary nozzle 4 laterally, i.e. in the longitudinal direction of the weft thread, to be offset from the main nozzle 3.
- guides can for example, correspondingly shaped surfaces of the carrier 2, protruding Nozzle tubes or additional guide elements can be used.
- Fig. 2a shows a similar cross section through the catch and Holding device of the first embodiment as Fig. 1, wherein the reed additionally in different positions during the stroke movement is shown, and Fig. 2b shows an oblique section through the in Fig. 2a Catch and hold device shown along the axes of the main nozzle and the catch channel.
