Abstract

The device for fixing an underside (2) on a U-shaped roller shutter caisson tunnel having lateral ends closed by support walls (7) comprises a runner (8) able to move axially relative to the lateral ends. In a locking position the runner extends partly above the underside internal face (9) and projects relative to the lateral edges (11) to engage in a strike plate housing (12). The runner is clipped on the underside front edge (18) by means of a hook (17).

Description

The invention relates to a device for fixing an underside on a U-shaped rolling shutter tunnel box the lateral ends of which are closed by cheeks supports.

The present invention relates to the field of roller shutters and relates, in particular, to the boxes provided suitable for integrate the mechanism for winding the deck of such a shutter rolling.

It is known to integrate into the masonry of a construction above an opening for designing a door, window or similar, prefabricated tunnel boxes, in polystyrene or more generally in wood fiber and cement planned to accommodate, subsequently, the entire roller shutter mechanism for a roller shutter.

Such tunnel boxes are closed at their ends lateral by supporting cheeks on which are, precisely, able to be fixed the elements of this mechanism for rolling up the roller shutter deck. At the level of its face lower, this tunnel box has end parts closed, forming support bases, allowing it to rest on the masonry, above the opening intended for welcome, later, a door-type joinery, window or similar.

It is understood, under these conditions, that access to the volume inside of this box is made through the portion left open from its underside. Obviously and after installation of the roller shutter mechanism rolling, this opening on the underside of the box is closed by what is usually called an underside.

This necessarily preserves on the side, as the case may be, internal or external of the box a slot for the passage of apron.

Usually, this underside is defined by a profile plastic or metallic dish with its edge opposite the slot is provided capable of coming to engage in a groove of adjusted section, which precisely has on the edge lower on the external and / or internal side, the tunnel box. Through elsewhere, fixing screws pass through its ends to come to be housed in fixing lugs integral with the support bases to which reference was made above.

The problem is that we do not always control the length between the paintings of a door or window compared to which must be strictly adjusted the underside. In particular, when this underside is placed before the application of the facing mortar that usually receive the walls of a construction, applied, it can be trapped by this mortar and the mounting brackets of the bases aforementioned support. It is then impossible to dismantle and access to mechanism for shutter curtain is no longer possible.

In fact, in this case, it is necessary to break slightly either the mortar or the underside to be able to access new to this mechanism.

It is also known from document FR-2.419.387, a box “U” tunnel for rolling shutters, closed at its lateral ends via support cheeks comprising, at the bottom border, a horizontal light in which is able to slide the fixing lug. Through therefore, it slides transversely to the axis of the underside which does not provide an answer to the problem posed.

Indeed, the presence of the fixing lug which cannot be released from this light by axial displacement relative to the underside, does not allow the latter, when disassembly, to be pushed back inside the box to present this underside at an angle and facilitate its release.

The problem is identical within the framework of the described design in document EP-A-0.628.695. If, before installing the soffit, the fixing lugs are, here, likely to be slidingly engaged in housing adapted to the level supporting cheeks, once this underside is attached to these fixing lugs, these are perfectly immobilized and it is not possible to remove them from these dwellings by axial sliding in order to push said sub-face to inside the box. Consequently, there again this underside can be trapped by these fixing lugs and a extra thickness of facing mortar.

To this it should be added that the installation of the fixing screws is a tedious operation, since it requires the drilling of the underside, not to mention that the installation of these screws occurring from the bottom up, it is very common that several screws fall to the ground before there is one coming engage the thickness of the fixing lugs.

In addition, these often have only solidity relative. However, it is more and more frequent to stop the motor for driving a motorized roller shutter by controlling his couple. In short, when in the winding phase the stops fitted to the final blade of the roller shutter deck come to rest on the underside, it is detected a sudden increase in the torque produced by the engine generating stopping operation of the latter.

However, before the engine even stops, the stops the final deck blade exerts significant pressure on the underside, this having the effect of soliciting, strongly, the fixing lugs up to cause their rupture, in some cases. Furthermore, this support final blade stops intervene on this underside in slot edge, either offset from the legs which are usually located at the level of support cheeks, substantially in the median plane of the box. Also, this underside is itself requested during this engine stop control.

Finally, the present invention aims to provide a solution to all of the above problems.

Thus, the invention relates to a device for fixing an underside on a tunnel box of a rolling shutter with a "U" structure, the lateral ends of which are closed by support cheeks, characterized in that it comprises at least a slide mounted movable axially at each of the lateral ends of said sub-face so as to occupy:

• an unlocked position, not projecting from the corresponding lateral edge of the underside;
• and a locking position, in which it extends, in part, above the internal face of this sub-face and is projecting relative to the corresponding lateral edge of the latter to engage in a housing forming a keeper that comprises, on the internal side of the box, the support cheeks, these housings completing said fixing device.

Thus, in case the underside were to be blocked by the facing mortar under the conditions described above, it is sufficient, once the slides returned to a position of unlocking, not protruding from the side edges of this underside, then lift it to one side by the pushing back into the box and putting it at an angle, for the clear on the opposite side with respect to this mortar which jams it and, finally, remove it from said box.

In fact, through fixing lugs integral with the support bases this manipulation was not possible, the underside that cannot be pushed back inside this box.

According to one embodiment, the underside is reported by screwing on the slides, once they are brought into their locking position, engaged in the housings forming spoils.

According to another embodiment, the slides are mounted, axially movable, on the internal face of a sub-face.

According to another feature of the invention, the slides include handling means to repel them in locking position or vice versa unlocking provided accessible from outside the box.

Advantageously, this fixing device comprises means mounting a slide by clipping on the edge before the underside, side slit passage side of the roller shutter.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent during the description which follows relating to a mode given as an indicative example and not limiting.

Figure 7 shows schematically a cheek support on which can be clipped a protective cover closing the housing forming keeper intended to receive a locking slide of the fixing device according to the invention.

As can be seen in the figures in the attached drawings, the present invention relates to the field of roller shutters and relates more particularly to a fixing device 1 of an underside 2 on a tunnel casing 3 of rolling shutter.

This box 3 is intended to be integrated into the masonry of a construction and, as shown in figure 3, rests on level of its ends 4 and via a base support 5 in the upper part of a table 6 corresponding to a door, window or the like.

Thus, this box 3 of "U" structure is closed at its lateral ends 4 by means of support cheeks 7, on which is provided capable of being fixed the mechanism for rolling up the roller shutter deck.

More particularly, the fixing device 1, object of the present invention, comprises at least one slide 8 mounted axially movable at each of the lateral ends 10 of said underside 2, to be able to occupy a lock and an unlocked position. In the locked position, illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, this slide 8 comes extend, in part, above the internal face 9 of this underside 2 and is protruding from the lateral edge correspondent 11 of the latter in order to come engage in a housing forming a striker 12 which comprise, internal side 13 to the casing 3, the supporting cheeks 7. In the unlocked position, this slide 8 is not projecting by relative to this lateral edge 11 of the underside 2.

According to a first embodiment not shown, a housing forming keeper 12 is defined by dimensions adjusted for the reception of a slide 8.

According to another embodiment corresponding to Figures 2, 3 and 4, these keepers forming a keeper 12 are defined by a scale 14 extending transversely along the lower edge 15 of the support cheek 7, in a plane substantially parallel to the latter. With the bars of this ladder 14 is planned able to cooperate with the end 16 of a slide 8, configured at the way of a comb.

So, insofar as such slides are not permanently secured to the support cheek 7, they can be removed from the latter, so said housing forming keeper 12, if this proves necessary for the disassembly of the underside 2.

Note that these slides 8 can be directly mounted, axially mobile, on this internal face 9 of a sub-face 2, just as the latter can be attached by screwing on these slides 8, once these brought into their position locking, that is to say engaged in the housings forming keeper 12.

According to a preferred embodiment, the slides 8 also include handling means for push back into the locked position or, conversely, unlocking, provided accessible from outside the box 3.

In this regard and advantageously, this fixing device 1 comprises means 17 for mounting a slide 8 by clipping on the edge before 18 of the underside 2, slot side of passage of the roller shutter deck.

In short, thanks to these clip-on mounting means 17 on the edge 18 of the underside 2, this one, for its implementation place, can, first of all, be engaged through its edge rear 19, opposite the apron passage slot, in a defined groove 20, inside of the box, at the edge lower 21 of the outer 22 and / or inner 23 walls of the box tunnel 3. Then, by acting on the handling means that define said clip mounting means 17, it is say by sliding along the edge before 18 of the soffit 2, the sliders 8 can be engaged in the latch-forming housings 12. In short, through this mode execution one is freed from the installation of fasteners such as screws.

These clip-on mounting means are defined by a hook 17 comprising connecting means 17A to a slide 8, thus that a planned hooking return 17B capable of coming to engage on this song before 18 of the underside 2.

Advantageously, such a hook 17 is defined in nature elastic in a direction transverse to the underside 2. Thus, before the engagement of a slide 8 in a housing forming a keeper 12, said hook 17 is resiliently placed under tension so that after locking it pushes on the underside 2, towards its rear edge 19, in the groove 20.

If the above solution corresponds more to the mode of realization of Figures 2, 3 and 4, through its means of link 17A this hook 17 can also be designed adjustable by relative to a slide 8, in a direction perpendicular to the axis of movement of the latter.

On this subject, we will refer to Figures 5 and 6 where we see that said connecting means 17A are defined, at a level slide 8, by at least one transverse light 17C in which is able to come and engage a tongue 17D hooking which comprises the hook 17. This tongue 17D is provided with a series of teeth forming a step provided for oppose the withdrawal of said hook 17 relative to the slide 8, once said tab has been inserted, along a length desired, in a transverse light 17C.

Thus, once the rear edge of the underside 2 engaged in the groove 20 at the bottom edge 21 of the outer wall 22 or internal 23 of the tunnel box 3 and the slides 8 brought in cooperation with the housing forming keeper 12, we push back the hooking return 17B of the hook 17 on the front edge 18 of the underside 2 to guarantee the maintenance of the latter engaged in said groove 20.

The slides 8 can be in the form of sections of plastic or metallic profile, so that their rigidity can be chosen according to the constraints applied to them. As for the supporting cheeks 7 which are associated with the housing forming striker 12, they are preferably designed in injected plastic. Also, as it appears in Figure 4, these cheeks support 7 can, if necessary, receive reinforcing means 24 of these to the housing forming a keeper 12.

More particularly, above the latter said cheeks supports 7 comprise means for receiving a plate of reinforcement 24, in particular metallic, capable of absorbing pressures printed by the slide 8 and therefore by the underside 2, pressures corresponding, for example, to the coming into high stop, on this underside 2, of the final blade of the shutter deck rolling.

Advantageously again and as shown in FIG. 7, a protective cover 25 is likely to close, temporarily, the keepers forming a keeper 12 of a cheek support 7 before the installation of a sub-face 2, this of so as to avoid projections, in particular of mortar, to the interior of these housings 12.

Ultimately and as explained above in the description, the underside 2 can, through characteristics of the present invention to be repelled in the box 3, as long as the slides 8 are in position unlocked. If this feature can be taken advantage of in the case of blocking of this underside 2, for example by the facing mortar, we still thought of taking advantage of this advantage to avoid having to adjust the length of this last to an often variable datum that constitutes the distance between tables 6 of a door or window.

In particular, this underside 2 is advantageously adjusted in length with respect to the distance between the bases support 5, which are extended by a strip of cover 26, intended to extend under the edges lateral 27, on the external face 28, of said sub-face 2. At the end account, these cover strips 26 can come compensate for the variations that can be encountered in the distance between tables 6 of a door or window.

Thus, for the installation of a sub-face 2, this is engaged, at one of its ends, in the box 3. Then insert the other end to bring it to the rear of the cover strip 26 of the support base 5 of the corresponding side of box 3. Similarly, we just drop the first end back onto the cover strip 26 of the support base 5 on the other side of the box 3. In a last operation, the sliders 8 are locked.

Either the slides 8 are mounted integral on the face internal 9, at the lateral ends 10 of the underside 2 and at this stage this is perfectly maintained in position, either they are independent of this underside 2 and it is necessary to fix the latter to these slides 8 by means of screw, for example.

In this way, not only is a better finish obtained, but the tightness of the box between this underside 2 and said support bases 5 is also improved.
It is clear from the foregoing description that the present invention represents clear progress in the field under consideration.

Claims (14)

Device for fixing an underside (2) to a tunnel box (3) of a rolling shutter with a "U" structure, the lateral ends (4) of which are closed by support cheeks (7), characterized in that ' it comprises at least one slide (8) mounted axially movable at each of the lateral ends (10) of said underside (2) so as to occupy: an unlocked position, not projecting with respect to the corresponding lateral edge (11) of the underside (2). and a locking position, in which it extends, in part, above the internal face (9) of this sub-face (2) and is projecting relative to the corresponding lateral edge (11) of this last to engage in a housing forming a keeper (12) which comprise, on the internal side (13) of the box (3), the support cheeks (7), these housings (12) completing said fixing device (1). Fastening device according to claim 1, characterized in that the underside (2) is provided capable of being attached by screwing on the slides (8), once these brought into their locking position engaged in the housings forming a keeper (12).
