Closure device as claimed in any one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that said recess (20) of the end cap (9) providing a space to accommodate the expansion of a rail (6, 7) has a depth in the longitudinal direction of the tunnel casing (1) which is at least half the expansion of said rail (6, 7) for the maximum temperature at which said rail can be supported when the tunnel casing (1) is integrated in the lintel.
  4. Closure device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that said end cap (9) comprises a plate (11) substantially perpendicular to the top panel (2) and to the longitudinal walls (3, 4) when one lateral end (5) of the tunnel casing (1) is in the closed position, said plate (11) being extended, around its contour except on a level with its base, by a collar (19) extending in a plane substantially parallel with the plane of the plate (11) and acting as a stop limiting the nest fitting of the end cap (9) in a lateral end (5) of the tunnel casing (1), and each recess is a cavity (20) disposed in the internal face of the bottom end (19c) of a side part (19b) of said collar (19).
  5. Closure device as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that said cavity (20) is formed by a localised reduction in the thickness of said collar (19).
  6. Closure device as claimed in any one of claims 4 and 5, characterised in that said cavity (20) is formed by moulding the collar (19) in a single piece with the end cap (9) and optionally the heel piece (10) of the closure device (8).
  7. Tunnel casing designed to be integrated in the lintel of a bay of a construction and in the surrounding masonry, and to accommodate a roller shutter, and comprising a top panel (2) supported by two longitudinal walls (3, 4) , the bottom edge of each of which is connected to a metal section, preferably made from aluminium, in the form of a rail (6, 7), as well as two closure devices (8), each designed to close one (5) respectively of the two lateral ends of said tunnel casing (1), with a cross-section of an upturned U-shape, each closure device (8) comprising an end cap (9) which fits at least partially in a lateral end (5) of the tunnel casing (1), and a heel piece (10) projecting towards the interior of the tunnel casing (1) on the base of the internal face of the end cap (9) and substantially perpendicular to the end cap (9), and which is inserted between the two rails (6, 7) when the end cap (9) is fitted in the co-operating lateral end (5) of the tunnel casing (1), characterised in that each of the two closure devices (8) is a closure device as claimed in any one of preceding claims 1 to 6.
