Description

Schalenförmige Verpackung
Die Erfindung betrifft eine schalenförmige Verpackung mit um die Entnahmeöffnung umlaufendem Siegelrand zum Aufsiegeln einer Siegelfolie und einem an diesen Siegelrand radial nach außen anschließenden Rollrand.
Derartige Schalenverpackungen sind in der Nahrungsmittelindustrie, insbesondere für kleinere Portionen von Tiernahrungsmitteln, gängig. Die gefüllte Schalenverpackung wird dabei durch Aufsiegeln einer Siegelfolie auf einen um die Entnahmeöffnung umlaufenden Siegelrand dicht verschlossen. Um ein Öffnen der Verpackung durch Abziehen der Siegelfolie zu ermöglichen, wird üblicherweise in einem Teilbereich, z.B. bei einer mehreckigen Schale in einer der Ecken, eine über den Siegelrand und den daran anschließenden Rollrand radial nach außen hervorstehende Öffnungslasche ausgebildet. Durch diese Lasche wird eine Anreißstelle für das Abziehen der Siegelfolie definiert.
Bei herkömmlichen Schalenverpackungen ragt die Oberseite des Rollrandes über die Ebene des Siegelrandes hinaus. Beim Aufsiegeln der Siegelfolie kommt es daher im Laschenbereich durch den Gegendruck des Rollrandes zu einer Verformung desselben und damit zu einer stärkeren Verbindung der Siegelfolie mit der Schalenveφackung in diesem Bereich. Daraus resultiert im Laschenbereich eine erhöhte Anreißkraft beim Öffnen der Verpackung, was insbesondere aus Convenience-Gründen für den Verbraucher unerwünscht ist.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine gattungsgemäße Schalenverpackung zur Verfügung zu stellen, die mit weniger Kraftaufwand geöffnet werden kann.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß der Rollrand zumindest in einem Teilbereich eine geringere Höhe aufweist als im übrigen Bereich. Dabei ist bevorzugt vorgesehen, daß die Oberseite des Rollrandes in besagtem Teilbereich nicht über die Ebene des Siegelrandes hinausragt.
Für eine besonders bevorzugte Ausführungsform schlägt die Erfindung vor, daß die Oberseite des Rollrandes, bezogen auf die Ebene des Siegelrandes, in besagtem Teilbereich nach unten abfällt.
Besonders bevorzugt ist dabei eine Ausführungsform, bei der eine Öffnungslasche der Siegelfolie in besagtem Teilbereich angeordnet ist.
Durch die erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagenen Maßnahmen wird in überraschend einfacher Weise die Anreißkraft beim Abziehen der Siegelfolie von der Öffnungslasche her signifikant gesenkt. Dabei ist zu beobachten, daß bereits eine geringfügige Absenkung der Oberseite des Rollrandes in dem betreffenden Teilbereich desselben eine Verbesserung zeigt. Besonders günstige Ergebnisse werden erreicht, wenn die Oberseite des Rollrandes in dem besagten Teilbereich nicht über die Ebene des Siegelrandes hinausragt bzw. sogar nach unten abfällt.
Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist in der beigefügten Zeichnung dargestellt, in der
Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Darstellung einer erfindungsgemäßen Schalenveφackung ist;
Fig. 2 ein Teilquerschnitt entlang Linie II-II im Teilbereich A des Rollrandes ist; und
Fig. 3 ein Teilquerschnitt entlang der Linie III-III im abgesenkten Teilbereich B des Rollrandes ist. Fig. 1 zeigt eine typische Schalenveφackung 10 für Tiernahrungsmittel, hier in Form eines Vierecks. Es sei allerdings darauf hingewiesen, daß die Erfindung für alle denkbaren geometrischen Formen von Schalenveφackungen geeignet ist, einschließlich runden sowie symmetrisch oder unsymmetrisch mehreckigen.
Um die Entnahmeöffnung der Schalenveφackung 10 umlaufend ist ein Siegelrand 12 zum Aufsiegeln einer Siegelfolie 30 (nur teilweise dargestellt) vorgesehen. Radial nach außen anschließend an diesen Siegelrand 12 ist ein für derartige Veφackungen typischer Rollrand 20 angeordnet. In dem Teilbereich A, der den größten Teil des Umfanges der Schalenveφackung 10 ausmacht, ist der Rollrand wie üblich so ausgebildet, daß seine Oberseite 22 über die Ebene des Siegelrandes 12 hinausragt (Fig. 2).
Erfindungsgemäß ist der Rollrand 20 in einem kleineren Teilbereich B, der sich im wesentlichen mit dem Bereich der Siegelfolie 30 deckt, in dem die Öffnungslasche 32 ausgebildet ist, abgesenkt, wobei in der Darstellung von Fig. 3 die Ausführungsform gezeigt ist, in der die Oberseite 22 des Rollrandes 20, bezogen auf die Ebene des Siegelrandes 12, nach unten abfällt.
Beim Aufsiegeln der Siegelfolie 30 auf den Siegelrand 12 wird der Gegendruck des Rollrandes 20 im Teilbereich B dadurch signifikant vermindert bzw. in der dargestellten bevorzugten Ausführungsform eliminiert, so daß die Anreißkraft beim Abziehen der Siegelfolie 30 zum Öffnen der Veφackung signifikant verringert wird.
Dabei spielt die Materialwahl für die Schalenveφackung bzw. die Siegelfolie keine wesentliche Bedeutung, da das erfindungsgemäße Ziel mit jeder gängigen Materialkombination erreichbar ist.
Die in der vorstehenden Beschreibung, in den Zeichnungen sowie in den Ansprüchen offenbarten Merkmale der Erfindung können sowohl einzeln als auch in beliebiger Kombination für die Verwirklung der Erfindung in ihren verschiedenen Ausführungsformen wesentlich sein.

Claims

Ansprüche
1. Schalenförmige Veφackung mit um die Entnahmeöffnung umlaufendem Siegelrand zum Aufsiegeln einer Siegelfolie und einem an diesen Siegelrand radial nach außen anschließenden Rollrand, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Rollrand (20) zumindest in einem Teilbereich (B) eine geringere Höhe aufweist als im übrigen Bereich (A).
2. Veφackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Oberseite (22) des Rollrandes (20) in dem Teilbereich (B) nicht über die Ebene des Siegelrandes (12) hinausragt.
J . Veφackung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Oberseite (22) des Rollrandes (20), bezogen auf die Ebene des Siegelrandes, in dem Teilbereich (B) nach unten abfällt.
4. Veφackung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Öffnungslasche (32) der Siegelfolie (30) in dem Teilbereich (B) angeordnet ist.
