Definitions
- the invention is based on a method for identifying faults or damage and a device for processing photographic Layer supports according to the preamble of claim 1 or claim 9th
- Photographic orders are usually placed in large laboratories and in so-called Minilabs edited. Both the devices in the major laboratories the minilabs are also designed so that the components, who come into contact with the film work with great reliability. Since the films are originals, they are destroyed were irrevocably lost, consequently damage to them Originals are avoided at all costs. Despite all the precautions However, there are occasional damage to the photographic Originals.
- Prechekkers are sometimes used to check films in the large laboratories used the films on tears and torn perforation holes check. Usually these precheckers work before Film developers and are designed to prevent customers coming, already tear damaged films in the film developer and thereby completely be destroyed. An examination of the films after processing was done with not carried out on these devices.
- the task is solved by a method and a device with the characterizing features of claim 1 or 2, or claim 9 or 10.
- automatic scratch detection can not only prevent greater damage but also damage to the device can also be analyzed quickly.
- each an automatic scratch detection includes.
- US 4,680,638 describes a method in which an infrared scan for scratch detection in a cinema film is used.
- the defect recognized by means of the infrared scan is either by replacing the image information with information from a previous one Corrected image of the film or by interpolating the defective area.
- US 5,266,805 also describes a scratch detection method, which on the recording of an infrared signal in addition to the red, Green and blue signals based. From the infrared signals are position and Known strength of defects. This document suggests light Defects - that is, defects whose infrared signal is below a certain one Threshold lies - to correct that by the image signals the infrared signal can be divided. Major defects where none Color information can be recognized more by interpolation eliminated.
- DE 100 29 826.5 proposes instead of infrared scanning in addition to the three color scans of the original, another picture perform in an additional spectral range. This additional Defect scan is then offset against the image signals in the three colors, to thereby eliminate the defects.
- Such a correction of defects is in any case a recognition upstream of these defects.
- This detection can then according to the invention to detect malfunctions or damage to the processing equipment be used. For this, the identified defects, in particular Scratches analyzed and equipment damage or malfunction assigned. If an event occurs that damages the film originals the affected device must immediately automatically or through a Operator are stopped. In the latter case, one is by the operator generate a recognizable warning.
- the damage can be clearly identified the operator not only the damage itself, but also the nature and / or the location of the damage. This will make it quick Elimination without time-consuming search.
- the downtimes of the Devices can be significantly reduced in this way.
- Scratch orders which experience has shown certain damage cases can be assigned are stored in a memory. So can Scratch images appear immediately, when they first appear specific damage can be recognized. This is one very quick response which ensures the destruction of a larger one Number of originals prevented.
- a processing line For example, if there are multiple processing devices in a large laboratory a processing line together, at least that should last device in the line a device for the detection of scratches and for evaluating the detected scratch images.
- a digital Processing line is one of the last devices in film editing
- a film scanner is provided in which the individual color separations of each image can be determined. This often happens with With the help of a flat CCD array, each image is colored in sequence different illuminations projected onto the surface CCD array becomes.
- Infrared lighting is integrated to ensure that the scanned image data is one
- the existing scratch detection can then be used to detect damage to the devices in front of it are used.
- any film editing device or at least everyone Film processing device with increased risk of damage, a scratch detection downstream.
- An inexpensive CCD line is available for this with LED lighting on.
- the apparatus for processing photographic films has a presplicer 1, a film processor 2 and a film scanner 3.
- a presplicer 1 there is an adhesive station 4 with which the individual films taken from cartridges 5 to a long tape 7 glued together become.
- the film tape 7 is via a dark channel 8 Development machine 2 continued.
- the film tape 7 also wound up in the cassette 6 and then the cassette on the film processor 2 can be docked.
- the presplicer 1 Near the point where the film tape 7 leaves the presplicer 1 is a Infrared scanner provided with LED lighting 9 and a CCD line 10. Because the film is in undeveloped condition for light in the infrared Spectral range is not permeable, the CCD line is arranged so that it detects the light reflected from the film tape.
- the CCD line 10 is connected via a line to the input 12 of a control device 13 connected.
- the film strip runs through several treatment baths and a dryer. Again there is the possibility the film tape after leaving the dryer directly to the film scanner 3 feed or wind it on a spool 11, which then can be placed on the film scanner.
- An infrared scanner is also provided on the output side, which also has an LED lighting 9. Because the film already at this point developed, can be measured with transmitted light and a CCD line 16 is on the side opposite the LED lighting of the film tape arranged. CCD line 16 is also via a line connected to an input 14 of the control device 13.
- the prescanner For interference from film transport from the scanning stations in the film scanner 3 to decouple is a film loop before, between and after provided at the scanning stations.
- the prescanner consists of a tri-color LED lighting 17 and a trilinear line 18.
- the light source 19 of the main scanner emits in addition to the three colors of the prescanner still light in the infrared spectral range.
- the area CCD array 20 is dimensioned so that complete individual images are scanned can.
- a line connects the area CCD array 20 to one Input 15 of the control device 13.
- the film scanner 3 is also with the Coils 11 can be operated as a stand-alone device.
- the film band 7 is not shown here Cutting device fed into it again in the individual films or separated into strips with 6 pictures each.
- the infrared scanner 9 With the help of the infrared scanner 9, 10, kinks, tears, scratches or Damage to the perforation holes found and the 12 via the input Control unit fed.
- the positions are in the film scanner 3 in the prescan station 17, 18 of the individual images and the range of brightness of the individual Color separations of each image recorded. With the help of these values the Single images positioned in the main scan station and the luminosity and / or lighting duration of the lighting device 19 in the individual Colors regulated.
- the film tape is not moves and the position of the frame over the area CCD array 20 is fixed, successively all three color separations - preferably in Red, green and blue - added. Then there is an additional infrared extract of the image.
- This data in turn flows via the input 15 to the control unit 13, where it contains the data from the infrared scanner 9, 16 in the film processor 2 can be compared. deviations are damaged between these two scan stations due.
- the data of the infrared extract is also for one Scratch correction used.
- the recorded image signals low-pass filtered in a computing device and both image signals, as well as low-pass signals and infrared signals stored so that they can be processed pixel by pixel.
- a defect mask is formed.
- each pixel depending on the value of the defect mask of the Pixels either the image signal of this pixel, the low-pass filtered image signal or a combination of image and low-pass signals.
- the process can be accelerated by saving the low-pass signals are omitted. This is easily possible because In the case of a hardware solution in particular, the signals are parallel and flowing can be edited.
- Image signal values of these pixels can be at omitted the low-pass formation and instead values of neighboring, not defective pixels are used.
- the Presplicer 1 and the film scanner 3 can also be stopped directly via output 25.
- the film processor 2 should not be automatic even as a single device be stopped as special measures for film rescue are initiated Need to become.
- the films are immediately removed from the cartridge with a scanned using a simple infrared reflection line scanner.
- scanning is carried out with a simple infrared transmitted-light line scanner.
