Abstract

L'invention concerne une électrode de diffusion de gaz à stabilité dimensionnelle ainsi qu'un procédé de production d'une telle électrode. L'électrode présentée est constituée d'au moins un matériau support de catalyseur électroconducteur, destiné à recevoir une matière de recouvrement contenant un matériau catalyseur, et d'un élément de connexion électrique. Le matériau support de catalyseur (4; 11) est un tissu, un non-tissé, une mousse, un corps métallique fritté ou un feutre constitué d'un matériau électroconducteur, une plaque de métal étiré ou une plaque de métal pourvue d'une pluralité d'ouvertures (2, 8), sur laquelle est appliquée la matière de recouvrement (5) contenant le matériau catalyseur, ledit matériau support de catalyseur étant, lorsque sa rigidité propre n'est pas suffisante, relié rigidement de façon mécanique et électroconductrice à une plaque de base (1; 7) métallique, perméable au gaz et résistant aux liquides alcalins, en particulier en nickel ou en un de ses alliages.
