Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for tensioning and closing of plastic strapping for packages or the like.
- a housing one in the longitudinal direction of the housing of the strapping in the housing extending, open on one side and the strap ends of the strapping to be braced against each other receiving band channel, which on one side of a Clamping plate and on its other side from one with one Profileing provided tension wheel is limited, the tension wheel and the clamping plate can be adjusted relative to one another.
- Devices of this type serve to tape the ends of packages to place the plastic strips against each other and to firmly connect them to each other by means of a closing device, so that the packages are then securely strapped.
- the strap ends of the plastic strapping are in the band channel open on one side is inserted so that it is one above the other lie.
- the tensioning wheel and tensioning plate become relative adjusted to each other, so that the one end of the tape is firmly attached to the Clamping plate and the other end of the band on the tensioning wheel that then it is turned by hand or by motor and the adjoining it End of belt opposite that held firmly by the clamping plate
- the end of the band is tense.
- the tape ends by means of a friction welding device or other locking devices firmly connected.
- the object of the invention is a device of the aforementioned Way to create a very high one To exert tension on the tape without passing through the tape damage excessive abrasion.
- the cross profile grooves a smaller groove depth than the circumferential profile grooves exhibit.
- the profile grooves preferably have a V or trapezoidal cross-sectional shape that extends radially inward Grooved base tapered.
- the circumferential profile grooves are V-shaped and the transverse tread grooves are trapezoidal, going to be radial have a tapering cross-sectional shape on the inside of the groove base.
- the circumferential and / or transverse profile grooves advantageously form thus between them pyramid-shaped, pointed teeth, which is easy to pull into even with low pressure exciting band end can penetrate and this is practical can form-fit and tension.
- Even with less Pressure force between the tensioning wheel and the clamping plate large, transferable Tractive forces allow a firm tensioning of the Tape ends against each other without causing the tensioning wheel to spin comes on the appropriate end of the tape, so that no Plastic material is removed from the end of the tape, which at the previously known devices as a result of slipping of the tensioning wheel on the end of the belt softens the frictional heat and sits down in the profiling, from which it comes after the Cooling and hardening removed with great difficulty could be.
- the cross profile grooves preferably a groove depth that is smaller than the thickness of the thinnest strapping to be processed.
- the groove depth of the circumferential profile grooves is preferably 1.5 to 3 times the groove depth of the transverse profile grooves.
- the groove depth of the transverse profile grooves can, for example between 0.2 and 0.4 mm and the groove depth of the circumferential profile grooves be between 0, 6 and 1 mm.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment arises, though the clamping plate with extending in the longitudinal direction of the band channel Holding teeth is provided in the clamping position of the clamping plate and tensioning wheel a little in when the belt is not inserted enclose the circumferential profile grooves.
- the holding teeth of the clamping plate and the circumferential profile grooves of the tensioning wheel are then slightly intertwined with each other, resulting in even smaller ones Pressure forces between the clamping plate and the tensioning wheel can to the desired, high tensile forces in the tape ends initiate and brace them very firmly against each other.
- the device with a tensioning wheel in the Clamping position relative to the clamping plate in the axial direction of the Provided tensioning wheel leading locking mechanism for example essentially of a protruding from the clamping plate, in a circumferential guide groove in the There is a tensioning wheel engaging guide finger.
- the locking mechanism it is ensured that the floating Tensioning wheel always exactly the correct, axial position relative to Takes up the clamping plate and the clamping teeth of the clamping wheel are not included the clamping teeth of the clamping plate can collide, but clean engage in the grooves formed between the retaining teeth.
- the guide finger is in the tension position with the tape not inserted with its free At the end of the guide groove bottom of the guide groove, so that the The tensioning teeth of the tensioning wheel are not even when the belt is not inserted what can come into direct contact with the clamping plate otherwise damage could result.
- To be a light to ensure secure engagement of the guide finger in the guide groove, preferably forms this in its radially outer a centering guide for the guide finger.
- the arrangement of transverse profile grooves and circumferential profile grooves according to the invention different depths in particular advantageous development of the invention also the use a cleaning device assigned to the tensioning wheel for the tread grooves.
- This preferably consists essentially of a cleaning block with cleaning teeth in the circumferential profile grooves mounting.
- the tensioning wheel rotates, peel it Cleaning teeth contamination from the circumferential profile grooves out, thereby achieving a particularly thorough cleaning can be that the cleaning teeth with their tooth tips extend to the groove base of the circumferential profile grooves.
- contaminants can be easily carried out in the transverse profile grooves because these generally on the plastic or other particles stick, which have settled in the circumferential profile grooves.
- a trapezoidal configuration of the transverse profile grooves become the dirt particles settling in it when scraping out the circumferential profile grooves with the cleaning device easily removed again.
- the cleaning device can under the action of a pressure spring be against the tensioning wheel and this permanent clean; but it is also possible to only use the cleaning device to be operated if necessary or at regular intervals.
- a Particularly advantageous embodiment results when the cleaning block is designed approximately wedge-shaped and with a free wedge edge against the tensioning wheel, creating the unhindered Safe removal of the dirt particles removed from the grooves is guaranteed. It is particularly advantageous if the Cleaning block made of a soft metal, especially one Brass alloy exists, resulting in a self-sharpening effect leads when the cleaning block is pressed against the tensioning wheel becomes.
- the cleaning teeth encircling the circumferential profile grooves are optimally adapted to their shape and scratch the tread grooves completely out.
- the device 10 has a lengthwise direction Strapping 12 in the housing extending, open on one side Band channel 14 on the underside 15 of a clamping plate 16 and delimited on its upper side 17 by a tensioning wheel 18 and in the two ends of the strap 19.20 of the strapping 12 are inserted from the open long side, as is known in itself.
- the tensioning wheel 18 is on its circumference 24 provided with a profile 25, the design thereof 2 to 4 can be seen.
- the profiling 25 consists of first, extending in the axial direction 26 of the tensioning wheel 18 Cross profile grooves 27 and from the second, at right angles for this purpose circumferential profile grooves running in the circumferential direction 28 29, which have a greater groove depth T than the transverse profile grooves.
- the groove depth is T the circumferential profile grooves about 0.7 mm, while the groove depth t Cross profile grooves is only 0.3 mm.
- the circumferential profile grooves approximately Have a V-shaped cross-sectional shape and are close together, while the transverse profile grooves are trapezoidal in section are.
- the circumferential and transverse profile grooves next to or behind one another 27,29 form between them pyramid-shaped, pointed teeth 30, of which from the groove walls 31 of the profile grooves 27.29 included angle ⁇ is approximately 40 °.
- the clamping teeth 30 press slightly to the depth t of the transverse profile grooves 27 in the upper Band end 19 and thus ensure even with a low pressure force of the tensioning wheel for a practically positive connection between its profile 25 and the upper end of the band.
- the maximum depth of penetration that depends on the groove depth t of the transverse profile grooves is determined, ensures that the teeth 30 on the bottom of the upper band end 19 does not emerge again, since the thickness D of the strapping is regularly more than 0.3 mm is. So it can not happen that the clamping teeth 30 of the tensioning wheel through the upper end of the belt into the lower end of the band are pressed in, which tensions the would make both parts against each other impossible.
- the clamping plate 16 with holding teeth running in the longitudinal direction of the band channel 14 32 provided in the clamping position of clamping plate 16 and Tensioning wheel 18 when the belt is not inserted, as shown in FIG. 2 to some extent in the circumferential profile grooves 29.
- the Holding teeth 32 ensure that the lower band end 20 at Tensioning process in the band channel is held firmly by the Press the holding teeth 32 into the lower end of the band from below, as this is the clamping teeth 30 of the tensioning wheel 18 from the top in top end of tape 19 do.
- the clamping teeth or the holding teeth are already firmly under slight pressure it also comes into the ends of the band from above or below with large clamping forces do not cause the Tensioning wheel at the top of the upper band end or one Pull the lower end of the belt over the clamping plate so that the strap ends are not damaged during tensioning and when Clamping creates little or no abrasion, which the Profile grooves or the retaining grooves could clog.
- the device 10 Around the profile grooves 27, 29 also from this little abrasion or keep other dirt particles in the device clear, is the device 10 above the band channel 14 with a cleaning device 34 provided for the tensioning wheel 18, which is essentially consists of an approximately wedge-shaped cleaning block 35, the one on its free, front wedge edge 36 with cleaning teeth 37 is provided which in the circumferential profile grooves 29th mounting.
- the arrangement is such that the cleaning teeth 37 with their tooth tips 38 to the bottom of the groove 39 Circumferential profile grooves are sufficient.
- the cleaning block 35 is pivotally mounted on an axis 40 and is by a pressure spring 41 with its free wedge edge 36 pressed against the tensioning wheel 18, the cleaning teeth press firmly with their tooth tips into the circumferential profile grooves 29 and when the tensioning wheel rotates, the grooves in the circumferential profile scrape out any accumulated contamination. It has shown that the contaminants are also removed that have accumulated in the transverse profile grooves 27, because these grooves have a shallower groove depth and above In addition, the trapezoidal shape of the profile grooves ensures firm caking of impurities in it well prevented.
- the cleaning block consists of a softer metal than the tensioning wheel 18 or its teeth, in the present embodiment Brass so that its cleaning teeth 37 when the tensioning wheel rotates are constantly reground and always exact and without Grasp the clearance in the circumferential profile grooves and thereby this also scrape it out completely.
- the tensioning wheel 18 relatively in the tensioning position leading to the clamping plate in the axial direction 26 of the clamping wheel Locking mechanism 42, which consists essentially of a consists of the guide finger 43 rising from the clamping plate 16, the in a circumferential direction 28 circumferential guide groove 44 in Tensioning wheel 18 engages.
- the arrangement is such that the guide finger 43 in the clamping position of the tensioning wheel and Clamping plate with strapping not inserted in the strap channel abuts with its free end 45 from the guide groove bottom 46, wherein the tips of the clamping teeth 30 are still between the holding teeth Border 32, but at a sufficiently large distance from the groove base the holding grooves 33 are held.
- the guide groove 44 goes in its radially outer area to form a Radius R in the peripheral surface of the tensioning wheel 18 and forms such a centering guide 47 for the guide finger 43, which ensures that the floating tensioning wheel when starting against the clamping plate with its guide groove 44 always in exact engagement with the guide finger 43.
