Definitions
- the invention relates to the use of a thread as a sewing thread in at least an area of application for threads with a label number of more than about No 100 or a fineness of less than about 300 dtex.
- An object of the invention is in the field of application mentioned at the beginning for sewing threads for improvements in both processing the threads and thus the production of seams as well to ensure the properties of the seams produced.
- a thread is used that consists of at least one raw yarn that is produced by air texturing from at least one consisting of individual filaments or individual fibers
- the roving is made and in which the individual filaments are not equipped or single fibers an average fineness of less than about 1.2 dtex.
- an air-textured thread is in the raw yarn when not equipped, the average fineness of the Single filaments or single fibers is less than about 1.2 dtex than Sewing thread used, namely in an area of application for threads with a Strength greater than about No 100 or less than about 300 dtex.
- the thread is related to its fineness and strength a relatively large number of single filaments or single fibers has.
- the thread is not only particularly soft as a result, but also with Seams made of the thread also have a particularly appealing Appearance on, so that according to the invention the thread advantageously in Areas of application is used in which such thread properties special value is placed.
- the thread according to the invention is also advantageous that no disadvantages with regard to Fineness and the strength of the thread must be accepted.
- Another advantage of the use according to the invention is that the thread can be used in an advantageous manner when the thread has the smallest possible diameter, if possible fine and yet high strength. Because the label number No always refers to a thread with the fold 3 and so from the Indication of the label number No of a thread not on its actual one suung can be concluded is from the label number No not visible whether a thread made of many fine or a few coarse Single threads or raw yarns exist.
- the one used according to the invention Thread shows compared to conventional threads with the same label number No has a smaller diameter and can therefore be used in are advantageously used in areas in which threads that are as thin as possible are desired, but no disadvantages with regard to the thread strength should be accepted.
- the thread with finer sewing needles Can be used as conventional threads with the same label number No, because the thread used according to the invention due to its - based on the label number No - small diameter for such clear widths and / or shapes of the eye of the needle come into question, to conventional threads with the same label number No or fineness are not compatible.
- Another advantage of the thread used according to the invention is that much better maneuverability when sewing.
- the thread also shows an overall calmer behavior during its processing and is characterized by a lower tendency to displacement frizz out. Beat the seams produced with the threads used according to the invention also less strong through, are less noticeable and lead to considerably less pronounced seam marks in particular on ironing. Furthermore, the thread needs to be twisted less than conventional threads for optimal sewing and processing properties to achieve.
- the individual filaments or individual fibers in the form of Microfilaments or microfibers with a basic fineness in the raw yarn of each less than about 1.2 dtex, in particular less than about 1.0 dtex is provided.
- the raw yarn and thus the one formed from the raw yarn Thread that is used according to the invention as a sewing thread arises here by air texturing with microfilaments and / or microfibers, i.e. with individual reinforcements that are finer than 1.2 dtex and in particular are finer than 1.0 dtex.
- the air-textured raw yarn and thus the air-textured thread thus has a micro portion in this embodiment, i.e. a proportion of microfilaments or microfibers.
- the Raw yarn and thus the thread used according to the invention can only consist of such micro strength supports.
- the thread used according to the invention comes for a wide range of application areas in which there is particular it depends on the thread being as fine and / or thin as possible is, yet has a high strength and the processing stresses occurring in particular on automatic sewing machines has grown.
- the figure shows in the left part two rovings 11, one of which in the Production of a raw yarn 19 shown in the right part by a Air texturing process as upright thread 13 and the other as effect thread 15 serves.
- Both rovings 11 each consist of individual reinforcements 17a, 17b, and that from endless individual filaments, sometimes called Individual fibers are referred to, although generally referred to as "fibers" are meant by finite length, e.g. from single filaments can be made by tearing or cutting.
- fibers Preferably there is both the upright thread 13 and the effect thread 15 from individual plastic filaments, regenerated fibers and / or natural fibers 17a, 17b.
- the number of reinforcements 17a, 17b in the roving 11 can be used both for the upright thread 13 as well as for the effect thread 15 in the range from 24 to 400 lie.
- the upright thread 13 can be in the form of a LOY (low oriented yarn), POY (partial oriented yarn), FOY (fully oriented yarn) or an FDY (fully drawn yarn) may be provided.
- the roving forming the effect thread 15 11 is preferably a POY or LOY.
- the average fineness of the individual strength members 17a, 17b in Raw yarn is less than about 1.2 dtex.
- the individual Strength members 17a, 17b at least partially as microfilaments or Microfibers can be provided which have a basic fineness in the raw yarn 11 each less than about 1.2 dtex and in particular less than about 1.0 have dtex.
- the air-textured raw yarn 19 also by air texturing only a single roving can be produced, resulting in a A distinction in roving between stand thread and effect thread is superfluous. Alternatively, however, several upright threads and / or several Effect threads are used.
- the thread is formed by twisting a plurality of raw yarns 19, then either all raw yarns 19 can be untwisted, all of them can Raw yarns 19 can be twisted or they can partly twisted and partly untwisted raw yarns 19 form the thread.
- Each air-textured raw yarn 19 can be made after its manufacture can be equipped in any way, in principle - if the thread is formed by several raw yarns 19 - before or after Twisting.
- the air-textured thread produced in this way is invented as a sewing thread in at least one area of application of threads with a Label number of more than about No 100 or a fineness of less used as about 300 dtex.
- the thread is preferably used on sewing machines, sewing machines or Used embroidery machines. It is also possible to thread the thread on edge stitch machines use. Furthermore, the thread with pocket, collar or automatic cuff machines.
- a particularly preferred use of the thread according to the invention is the production of buttonhole seams.
- the buttonhole machines used for this place particularly high demands on the resilience of the thread to be processed.
- the thread is preferably used in the cutting edge overcasting used.
- the thread used according to the invention is for everyone Suitable for stitch type class, preferably with double chain stitches and / or double lockstitching.
- the thread with sewing needles and / or embroidery needles are used whose needle thicknesses are the same or finer are as NM 100 and / or those with round tips or cutting tips are provided.
- the thread is the processing of microfiber fabrics.
- the thread is also preferred as a sewing thread for fine ladies' outerwear (DOB), men's clothing (HAKA), shirts, blouses, underwear, knitwear, Lining fabrics, scarves or shawls are used.
- DOB fine ladies' outerwear
- HAKA men's clothing
- shirts blouses
- underwear knitwear
- Lining fabrics scarves or shawls are used.
- the thread can also be used advantageously for jackets, coats, costumes, Pants or clothes are used.
- threads are light fabrics in particular made of microfibers, sports and casual wear, work wear, Swimwear or home textiles.
