A cleaning machine according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the machine frame (5) is composed of a first frame part (17) and a second frame part (19) connected to the first frame part by means of a joint (18), and that both frame parts (17,19) are supportable on the track (3) by means of a common on-track undercarriage (4) positioned in the region of the joint (18), wherein the first frame part (17) comprising both clearing chains (7,8) is connected to the on-track undercarriage (4) displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the machine, while the second frame part (19) is supported at the ends on a respective on-track undercarriage (4).
