Definitions
- the invention relates to an odor trap for a waterless or low-water urinal, with a cup-shaped housing, one inlet located at an upper end and one lower end has an outlet, with a siphon that the Passage of gas from the outlet to the inlet is blocked and with a Urine collector in the form of an inlet funnel. traps this type has been known for a long time. You have the essential Advantage that a water connection to the urinal and a Flushing devices are not required or require little water. With such urinals, however, there is a difficulty to ensure the necessary hygiene and odor formation largely avoided. There is this in the prior art already numerous suggestions. So is in WO 97/15735 Odor trap revealed in which a sealing layer an oil is provided.
- US 5,711,037 shows an odor trap, with a cup-shaped float in the inlet is used, which is closed at the top and open at the bottom.
- the WHERE 99/57 382 discloses an odor trap in which under the Inlet opening is arranged a spherical float experiences a buoyancy in the collected urine and thus the opening closes. When in use, the float gives the opening free for a short time so that the urine flows into the siphon can. With this odor trap, however, there is the difficulty that a steady amount of urine is constantly above the float remains, which contributes significantly to the formation of odors.
- the invention has for its object an odor trap of the type mentioned, which is characterized by a still is characterized by lower odor expansion and is nevertheless functionally reliable is.
- the task is with a generic odor trap solved that the inlet funnel with an open pipe a relatively small light aperture and that on lower end of the tube surfaces for the condensation of outgassing odorous substances are arranged.
- the pipe with the relative Small light width reduces an upward air flow with odorants.
- the outgassed odors in can enter the pipe, they condense at least partially on the named surface.
- the proportion of odorous substances is thus through the surfaces mentioned or the condensation on these surfaces and largely by reducing the passage opening retained.
- Trials have shown that condensation is particularly effective when the surfaces mentioned are similar like those of an Erlenmeyer flask.
- hemispherical surfaces are also suitable which the escaping air has to flow along and on which condense the outgassed odors at least partially. Odor formation is particularly effectively suppressed when according to a development of the invention above the main siphon at least one other siphon with a comparatively small one Surface is arranged. The effect is increased even further when two of the more such siphons are cascaded are.
- the main siphon is sucked off the odors by a fan become.
- the extracted odors are after a Further development of the invention of the drain line.
- the vacuumed Air can also be in a filter, for example by means of Activated carbon or cleaned with cathalytic odor control become.
- the formation of odors in the urinal body itself can then be reduced be, while according to a further development of the invention the extracted air is introduced into the urinal body so that they are on the inside of the urinal body down in the Inlet of the odor trap flows. Odor substances in the urinal body are then carried away by the air and can be removed with a filter.
- the odor trap 10 shown in FIGS. 1-3 has a cup-shaped housing 1, which consists of an upper housing part 2 and a lower housing part 3 is composed.
- the two Parts 2 and 3 can be firmly connected, for example be welded.
- a Exhaust port 8 arranged to a drain line, not shown here is to be connected.
- an overflow tank 5 with upper openings 5a is inserted, in which a dip tube 6 is inserted.
- the overflow tank 5 and the immersion tube 6 form a siphon with collected urine 7, which is the rise of air and odors from the drain pipe prevented in the inlet 9.
- an insert 4 is inserted from above, on the dip tube 6 is supported and with at an upper end a removable retaining ring 12 attached to the upper edge of the housing 1 is.
- the insert 4 has an inlet funnel 4a, which extends essentially over the entire width of the housing 1 extends and which is comparatively flat and an opening angle of much more than 45 °.
- the inlet funnel 4a opens into an open tube 4b, the light width of which is essential is less than the flared area.
- the pipe 4b ends at a lower end in a conically widening Area 4c which has a corresponding conical inside 4d.
- the tube 4b and the area 4c have the Form of an Erlenmeyer flask, only the bottom is missing.
- the odor trap 20 shown in FIGS. 4-7 also has the above-mentioned housing 1 with the drain port 8 and an inlet 9.
- the odor trap 20 differs from the odor trap 10 through an insert 11, but also is one-piece and interchangeable.
- the insert 11 has one Inlet funnel 111, which corresponds to the inlet funnel 4a and the in a comparatively short tube 11k with a comparatively small light width opens. Below the pipe 11k the wall goes into a hemispherical area 11b above, in which a hemispherical part 11d is fastened via webs 11f is. There is a between the area 11b and the part 11d Gap 11c that is open to a passage 11a.
- the part 11d forms a siphon with an annular part 11h.
- the Part 11d does not dip into the here with a lower edge shown urine, which collects in the annular part 11h.
- a sleeve-shaped region 11g of the part 11h forms a vertical one Passage.
- Aromas emitted by the urine 7 are released through the passage 11i into the interior of the part 11d.
- these odors cannot escape because of the Passage into room 11c is blocked by the siphon, which is formed by part 11h and part 11d. From the urine of this Siphons that emit odors can enter the room 11c arrive.
- these odorants are at least partially on the inside of area 11b condense and again in the above Flow back the siphon.
- the amount of odorous substances emitted, that can get into space 11c is essential less than the amount of odorous substances that are emitted by urine 7 can, since the surface of the siphon, which by the parts 11h and 11d is formed, is significantly smaller than the surface of urine 7.
- FIGS An odor trap 30 is shown in FIGS has an insert 21 which is constructed in a cascade.
- the insert 21 consists of an upper part 21b, an inner part Part 21c and a lower part 21e.
- the upper part 21b faces in the middle of a vertical, tubular socket 21a through which Urine passes from inlet 9 into a basin 21c, the nozzle 21a protrudes into this basin 21c.
- the connector 21a forms the basin 21c reaches a first siphon 23.
- Overflowing urine from the pool 21c to an underlying pool 21g, the with a connecting piece 21f projecting upwards, a further siphon 22 forms. Overflowing urine comes from the pool 21g finally in the overflow tank 5.
- the odor trap 40 shown in FIGS. 12 to 15 is included also provided an interchangeable insert 31, which is essentially from an upper funnel-shaped part 31b, a lower one plate-shaped part 31a and two between these two Parts held parts 32 and 33 there.
- Parts 32 and 33 are spaced apart and each have one A plurality of elongated openings 34 and 35.
- Part 31a has an opening 31d in the center through which the funnel-shaped Part 31b projects through with its tubular lower region.
- An upper housing part 2 ' is with a radially outward extending connecting piece 36 into which a fan 37 is inserted is.
- This fan 37 can be an axial fan and has a rotor 38 with an electric motor, not shown here is operated.
- This fan 37 forces an air flow, by the air from the inlet 9 through the part 31b downwards the surface 7a of the urine 7 flows in air.
- the air now comes up and through the slit-shaped Holes 35 and 34 radially and in the circumferential direction outwards and through the nozzle 36 to the fan 37, and finally through openings 39 in a drain pipe, not shown here, or in a other leading line.
- This airflow decreases after that Entry through the inlet with 9 odorants and these will be finally transported with the air flow into the line mentioned.
- FIG. 14 clearly shows, the use is also here 31 interchangeable with the housing 1 '.
- the odor trap 50 according to FIGS. 16 to 19 has one Insert 41, which has an inlet funnel 41a, which in a cylindrical downwardly projecting tube 41b opens. On one lower end of the tube 41b is a disk-shaped part 41c attached, which has a plurality of openings 41d according to FIG. 16. These openings 41d lead into an annular space 45 which formed by an upper housing part 1 '' and the insert 41 becomes. On the housing part 1 '' a nozzle 42 is formed, in the a fan 37 is inserted. The output of this fan 37 leads into a connector 43 and from this into an arcuate Pipe piece 44 that is in a downward area 44 is connected to the socket 8 of the lower housing part 3.
- the fan 37 generates an air flow through which the inlet 9 Fresh air flows through the pipe 41b against the surface 7a. This sucked-in air enters through the openings 41d Annulus 45 to fan 37 and finally via pipe section 44 in a nozzle 46, the on a drain line, not shown here connected.
- the air flowing in at inlet 9 takes odorants with them and finally feeds them into the named one Drain line.
- a deflection piece 44b according to FIG. 16 the polluted air introduced into the drain line, one Non-return valve forms.
- FIG. 20 which is loaded with odorous substances Air is conducted into a space 53 which passes through a urinal body 31 and a building wall 59 is formed.
- the urinal body 51 is as usual attached to the building wall 59 and the room 53 trained as usual.
- the charged in room 53 charged Air goes up, as indicated by the parts 54 is.
- In the urinal body 51 are over the odor trap 40th one or more through channels 55 are arranged through which the polluted air out into basin 58 and finally on the inner wall 57 down to the inlet 9.
- Odor trap commonly used in an opening 52 of the urinal body 51 40 collects due to the suction power of the fan 37 at the inlet 9, the air present in the basin 58, which is usually is also polluted with odorous substances.
- an odor filter 60 is arranged, for example activated carbon may contain. But it can also in another place, in particular can also be arranged on the odor trap 40 and can in appropriate intervals are replaced.
