Abstract

Es wird eine digitale Bildaufzeichnungsvorrichtung (1), insbesondere elektrographische oder elektrophotographische Druck- oder Kopiermaschine, und ein Verfahren zur Steuerung des Glanzes eines auf ein Bildträgersubstrat (9) übertragenen und fixierten Tonerbildes vorgeschlagen. Das Verfahren zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass nachdem das Tonerbild durch Erwärmen auf dem Bildträgersubstrat (9) bereits fixiert ist, dem Tonerbild mindestens noch ein weiteres mal soviel Wärme zugeführt wird, dass das Tonerbild an seiner Oberfläche oder in seinem oberflächennahen Bereich entweder vollständig oder zumindest bereichsweise aufgeschmolzen wird, wobei der Grad und/oder die Dauer der Aufschmelzung in Abhängigkeit des gewünschten Tonerbildglanzes eingestellt wird.
