Definitions
- the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for applying Paint or other solutions on a plate cylinder or a picture element of a Printing machine according to the preamble of claims 1, 16 and 20.
- Printing machines typically have one Plate cylinder on which an illustrated plate is stretched. During printing inked the plate and transferred the inked image to a rubber blanket, which then Contacted paper in sheet form or in the form of an endless paper web.
- the color for the plate cylinder can be fed through a series of metering rollers or metering belts a duct roller to an inking roller. Of the The inking roller transfers the ink to the plate cylinder.
- a method of ink metering from the duct roller to the inking rollers operated lift rollers or metering rollers with a slip gap Dosing by siphon rollers or metering rollers with a slip gap can, however, discontinuous ink transfer have as a consequence. Also have both lifting and metering rollers during the Transfer process a specific slip between the roller surfaces.
- the device of Czech Patent No. 248128 has the disadvantage that the tension rollers, the press roller and the device for automatic Tension control require that a path of the belt be increased or decreased, to change the color thickness when the automatic voltage control a distance varies between the two idlers. Changing the path length of a flexible, elastic band requires a complicated arrangement and could be too elevated Cause tape failures. In addition, the jig presents a complex Arrangement for which tension rollers and press rollers are required to a to provide sufficient tension in the elastic band.
- An object of the present invention is to provide an accurate and reliable device and a method for continuous dosing of paint or other solution for a printing press.
- a device for applying paint or another solution with a first roller, a second roller and an elastic band, which during operation runs over the first roller and the second roller, that the first roller has a lower surface speed than the second roller having.
- the second roller has a higher surface speed than the first roller and is therefore also referred to below as a high-speed roller, while the first roller is referred to as a low speed roller.
- the elastic bands are arranged so that each elastic band is preferably only one Low speed roller and a high speed roller runs.
- the belt can be guided around the first and second roller in such a way that the length of the tape in this way, i.e. is essentially constant.
- path of fixed length means in the present document that the Path length of the belt does not change significantly as the belt traverses its path, albeit slight deviations due to the stretching and contraction of the Band could occur.
- the elastic band of the present invention With the elastic band of the present invention, a discontinuous Color transfer can be avoided. Also with the elastic band the specific Avoid slippage that can occur during the transfer process. This provides the present invention has the advantage of a continuous, slip-free color metering. In addition, due to the elasticity of the band, the elastic band through the different surface speeds of the rollers are deformed.
- the belt preferably does not slip on either the first or the second roller.
- the slip-free contact leads to more uniform printing.
- slip free that - although micro-creeping can occur - the tape does not slip, so the speed of the belt with respect to the Surface speed of the roller is not changed significantly.
- a device according to the invention which is also referred to as a metering device can be arranged so that they have a different elastic band on one Gap can contact.
- the elastic bands preferably have a color film on the outer surface.
- the thickness of the color film is inversely related to the amount of tension in the elastic band.
- the elastic bands stretch and become with the when leaving the roller lower surface speed thinner while leaving the Pinch the roller with the higher surface speed and become thicker.
- Elastic bands offer the advantage that they respond in response to those caused by the deform the stress caused by different speeds of the rollers can.
- the surface is deformed by the elastic bands of the elastic band changed, causing a change in the thickness of the color film brought about and influenced the distribution of color on subsequent devices becomes. Because the rollers have different surface speeds, varies the surface speed of the elastic bands.
- the radius of the first roller is preferably, though not necessarily, smaller than the radius of the second roller.
- the different radii offer the advantage that Surface speeds of the rolls change, which in turn changes the deformation of the elastic band.
- the rollers can then be the same Have rotational frequency, which can enable simpler drive mechanisms, for example 1: 1. Rollers of the same size could also be used if these are driven with different rotational frequencies.
- the present invention may include a duct roller which is one of the Low-speed rollers contacted to form a gap with this.
- the Duct roller offers the advantage that the ink film can be transferred to the elastic band can be.
- the present invention may also include an inking roller that is one of the High-speed rollers contacted to form a gap with this.
- the present invention can also be a printing cylinder, for example a Plate cylinder, which comprise the inking roller or the high-speed roller contacted directly to form a gap.
- a method according to the invention for applying paint or another solution on a pressure cylinder with the movement of an elastic band over a first roller and a second roller and applying the paint or other solution to the Elastic band is characterized by the following process steps: turning the first Roller with a first surface speed, rotating the second roller with a second surface speed, the first surface speed being higher than the second surface speed is.
- the first roller and the second roller are preferably driven rollers.
- the present invention can also be used to apply dampening solution or other liquids can be applied to a cylinder in a printing press or to a material web should.
- a duct roller 1 can paint from an ink fountain 10 received and the ink transferred to a belt 6 on a first roller 4.
- the elastic band 6 runs around the roller 4 and a second roller 2, preferably on slip-free way around.
- the roller 4 has a lower surface speed and a smaller radius than the roller 2.
- a low speed color film 12 is from the duct roller 1 on the outer surface of the elastic band 6 at a gap 3 transferred.
- the roller 4 and the roller 2 can be driven by a single motor. So for example, the roller 4 can be driven directly by a shaft of the motor and the roller 2 can be connected to the motor shaft in terms of gear technology. Alternatively, you can the roller 2 and the roller 4 are each driven by their own motor.
- the ink can then be transferred to an ink roller 5 at a nip 11.
- the roller 4 reduces the surface speed of the elastic band 6, thereby a low speed section 20 is created.
- the surface of the Low speed portion 20 of elastic band 6 becomes smaller, and any remaining ink film 12 is in response to the decrease in speed thicker.
- V s / (1 + ⁇ s ) V f / (1 + ⁇ f ), where V s is the surface speed for the low speed section 20, V f is the surface surface speed for the high-speed section 14, ⁇ s is the elongation constant for the low-speed section 20 and ⁇ f is the elongation constant for the high-speed section 14.
- Fig. 2 shows two metering belts which are arranged one behind the other and which can apply even thinner ink films to an inking roller.
- the elastic band 6 of the first embodiment can contact a second elastic band 100 at a contact gap 102 between the elastic bands, which is formed by the second roller 2 and a third roller 104.
- the rotation of the first roller 4 and the second roller 2 drives the elastic band 6 in a clockwise direction, while the rotation of the third roller 104 and a fourth roller 106 drives the second elastic band 100 in a direction opposite to the direction of the elastic band 6 is, in this example counterclockwise.
- the ink film 12 is transferred from the elastic band 6 to the second elastic band 100 at the contact gap 102 between the elastic bands.
- the resulting ink film 101 is then transferred to the high speed roller 106 and thinned by the belt 100 in a manner similar to that by the belt 6.
- the ink can be transferred, for example, to an ink roller or to yet another belt.
- Fig. 3 shows a side view of four metering belts as shown in Fig. 1, which serially are arranged one behind the other.
- a duct roller 258 can paint at first Dosing belt 200 transferred to a first nip 202 which is through a roller lower speed 41 is formed to form the color film 12.
- the color film 12 is then in the same way as described in Fig. 2 on a second metering belt 204 transmitted at a second gap 206.
- the next step is the color film 12 the same way as described in FIG. 2 on a third metering belt 210 on a third Transfer contact gap 212.
- the color film 12 is made in the same manner as in FIG Fig. 2 described transferred to a fourth metering belt 214 at a fourth gap 216.
- the ink film 12 on the plate cylinder 256 are transferred.
- the colored image can be on a Blanket cylinder 220 are transferred to a gap 260, which by the Plate cylinder 256 and the blanket cylinder 220 is formed.
- the Blanket cylinder 220 can then print the image onto a web 222 of a printing material, such as for example paper.
- Columns 202, 206, 212, 216, 218, 260 can slip-free contact gap.
- the elastic metering belts 200, 204, 210, 214 each rotate in opposite directions Towards each other.
- the elastic band 200 can counteract this Rotate clockwise while elastic band 204 rotate clockwise Turn band 210 counterclockwise and elastic band 214 in Can turn clockwise.
- the doctor roller 258 can rotate the belt 6 turn counterclockwise, i.e. clockwise.
- the plate cylinder 256 can rotate of belt 214 turn counterclockwise, for example counterclockwise, and the blanket cylinder 220 can rotate counter to the inking roller 256, for example clockwise.
