Definitions
- the invention relates to a connector for coupling at least one electrical Conductor, in particular a flat conductor, with the features of the preamble of the claim 1.
- This construction is relatively complex because the two housings and the interventions for the second contact securing must be coordinated relatively precisely. You want to furthermore, the contact connection elements before being inserted into the first housing with the Connect flat conductors, such flat conductors, especially foil conductors, are often too unstable and cannot transfer the insertion forces effectively.
- a connector described in US 4,082,402 has several juxtaposed Chambers, in each of which a contact connection element in the longitudinal direction by a Assembly opening is insertable. Outside the chambers there is a flap on the back intended. When the flap is open, a flat conductor with several wires can be additional tool can be pressed against Crimean tabs of the connecting element, so that they push through the flat conductor or the wires, an electrical connection create and enclose the flat conductor with the Crimean tabs. In practice it can Problems have to correctly position the flat conductor in relation to the Crimean tabs and with make all electrical connections using a common tool. One connects on the other hand, the flat conductor first with the contact connection elements and guides the contact connection elements only then into the chambers, the flat conductor is often too unstable to to be able to absorb the insertion forces.
- the invention has for its object a connector of the aforementioned Improve genus in that it has a secure electrical connection and mechanical Locking ensured and the electrical conductors with the contact connection elements are easy to mount on it.
- This connector enables easy assembly by opening the lid and the mounting opening is released laterally in the chamber.
- the contact connector can laterally, transversely to the longitudinal extent of the chamber through the mounting opening be introduced into the chamber. This is essentially independent of the locking of the contact connection element in the longitudinal direction. The insertion forces are significantly reduced, so that the electrical conductor is essentially relieved and also very unstable electrical conductors, such as B. foil conductors or flat conductors can be used.
- the contact chamber is easily accessible from the side.
- the contact connector can be positioned very well in it. Faults can easily be eliminated become.
- the electrical connection is made by this transverse mounting of the contact connection element spared.
- the lid In the closed position, the lid can be particularly advantageous on a wall of a feed chamber of the electrical conductor in the housing to form the contact connection element and in Open a conductor insertion opening in the housing transversely to the feed chamber. This allows the electrical conductor to open laterally, transversely into the lid Feed chamber are inserted, being essentially of insertion forces in the longitudinal direction is relieved.
- the lid When the lid is closed, the electrical conductor is protected in the feed chamber stored. If faults occur, the electrical conductor and its connection easily accessible to the contact connection element through the conductor insertion opening.
- the conductor insertion opening and the mounting opening can preferably be opened with the cover open form a common opening. Via the common opening, the contact connection element and the electrical conductor already in the connected state transversely to the longitudinal direction be inserted into the chamber and the feed channel. You can also choose be inserted separately and manipulated through the common opening and with each other get connected.
- the housing can be provided with holding teeth that hold the electrical When the cover is closed, the conductor arrests at least partially on the housing penetrate.
- the holding teeth provide strain relief for the electrical conductor and the connection of the electrical conductor to the contact connection element. Will by pulled on the outside of the electrical conductor, the holding teeth hold an essential part the tensile force from the connection to the contact terminal element. With the lid open this mechanical strain relief can be released and the conductor can be removed.
- the holding teeth usually extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the electrical Conductor.
- the holding teeth can be self-tapping as the electrical conductor be trained.
- the penetration occurs when the lid is closed the own cutting or clamping effect of the holding teeth, which is at least partially in press the conductor or its insulation and thus an effective fastening of the conductor form.
- This allows the conductor to be positioned relatively freely during assembly.
- the self-tapping Holding teeth automatically when closing the lid for a safe mechanical Holder of the conductor on the housing.
- the holding teeth can be formed on the cover. That’s how they come Holding teeth only in body contact with the film when the lid is closed.
- the slide can previously placed relatively easily in the housing body or a feed channel without holding teeth become.
- the holding teeth can be on a housing body or the cover and can be formed on the other housing part Recesses can be formed, into which the holding teeth engage when the lid is closed. The intervention ensures that the film cannot come loose from the holding teeth.
- the holding teeth that lock the electrical conductor can be subjected to tensile stress form a self-locking conductor fuse. This ensures a secure holding of the conductor by the holding teeth.
- the holding teeth can e.g. B. across the direction of extension of the electrical conductor can be mounted on a lever arm, which is when the conductor is subjected to tensile stress, it spreads out against the conductor or the teeth go deeper pushes the ladder.
- the cover be provided with at least one contact fuse is, which locks the contact connection element in the closed position in the chamber in the longitudinal direction and releases in the open position.
- the contact is only secured when it is closed of the lid.
- the contact connection element can be inserted relatively freely into the Chamber are introduced.
- the contact is secured manufactured. This can be done with cross-fed lids, e.g. B. at pivotable lids or levers, particularly easy to do by adding a paragraph or a recess when swiveling in with a corresponding paragraph or a recess of the contact connection element engages and a lock in Produces longitudinal direction. This mechanism relieves the electrical connection of the contact connection element with the electrical conductor of locking forces.
- the housing can have two lids, one on a lid Holding teeth for the electrical conductor and at least one on the other cover Contact securing for the contact connection element is provided. This enables one separate manufacture of the contact securing of the contact connection element and the holder of the electrical conductor through the holding teeth.
