      with a frame strip part (10, 10') to be fastened to the fixed frame (1) of the door, the window or the like,
      with at least one leaf/casement strip part (20, 20') to be fastened to the leaf or casement (2) of the door, the window or the like,
      with at least one vertical strip bolt (8, 8'), passing through the hinge parts (13, 18, 26, 27, 28), arranged one above the other, of the strip parts (10, 10', 20, 20') for the hinge-like pivotable connection of the strip parts (10, 10', 20, 20')
      and with means (30, 30') which are provided in at least one of the strip parts and by which the strip bolt (8, 8') can be shifted transversely in relation to its longitudinal axis (9, 9') by an adjustment path and can be fixed,
      the hinge part either of the frame strip part (10, 10') or of the leaf/casement strip part (20, 20') having a cross-sectional surface area which is smaller than the cross-sectional surface area of the other strip part respectively, in such a way that the outer circumference of the cross section of the one strip part is smaller than the circumference of the cross section of the other strip part, at least in the adjusting direction,
      characterized in that at least one covering sleeve (40) is provided, at least partly enclosing the hinge part of the at least one strip part and extending over the length of the hinge part having a smaller cross-sectional surface area, the inner cross-sectional surface area of the covering sleeve (40) being dimensioned in such a way that between its inner lateral surface (42) and the outer circumferential surface (41) of the surrounding hinge part there remains a gap (43), the width of which is at least as great as the adjustment path, and in that fastening means for fixing the covering sleeve (40) are provided on the other strip part, on the end face towards the one strip part.
    2. Strip according to Claim 1, characterized in that the covering sleeve (40) has a clearance (46), through which means for adjusting the strip bolt are accessible for the purpose of actuation.
    3. Strip according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the fastening means and the covering sleeve (40) are formed in such a way that they form a latching connection which can be optionally brought into engagement.
    4. Strip according to Claim 3, characterized in that the fastening means comprise a fastening component which radially surrounds the strip bolt (8, 8') and comprises on its lateral surface at least one depression (all-round groove 24), into which at least one latching lug (20, 25') provided on the inner surface of the covering sleeve.(40, 40') can be brought into engagement.
    5. Strip according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the covering sleeve (40, 40') bears at its free, extreme end a covering cap (44), which at least substantially closes the end face.
    6. Strip according to Claim 5, characterized in that the covering cap (44) has a continuation (45), which can be introduced into the covering sleeve (40, 40') and into which at least one latching lug (25, 25') provided on the inner surface of the covering sleeve (40, 40') can be optionally brought into engagement.
    7. Strip according to one of Claims 1 to 6, with a device for adjusting the position in terms of height of the at least one leaf/casement strip part (20, 20') above the at least one frame strip part (10, 10') in the direction of the longitudinal axis (9, 9') of the strip bolt (8, 8') by a vertical adjustment path, characterized in that between the underside of the covering cap (44) and the end face towards the latter of the covered strip part there is a distance which corresponds at least to the length of the vertical adjustment path.
    8. Strip according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that on the strip part having a larger outer cross section there is provided a second covering sleeve (50), which at least partly surrounds this strip part.
    9. Strip according to Claim 8, characterized in that the outer cross section of the second covering sleeve (50) at least substantially corresponds to the outer cross section of the covering sleeve (40).
