Definitions
- the stability of vacuum mattresses when transporting the patient is of the volume of the granules with which they are conventionally are filled, dependent.
- the longitudinal strut is preferably on their respective ends connected to the mattress body, the longitudinal strut preferably having the same length like the mattress body. This allows an extension of the effects described above over the entire length of the Achieve mattress.
- Flat material strip can be easily built into the vacuum mattress integrate. Furthermore, it results in use of flat material in an area near the longitudinal edges of the Advantage that when the mattress is on the mattress Patients are "modeled", the flat material together with the longitudinal edges from the horizontal to the vertical or at least in an intermediate position.
- the Consideration of the horizontal or vertical alignment refers here to the cross section of the flat material strip. Due to the rectangular profile of the flat material strip it happens at least in part Unfolding into the vertical to a significant increase the bending moment in the sense of a deflection of the Vacuum mattress based on the weight of the patient when moving. By increasing the bending moment can thus be another advantageous stiffening of the mattress.
- the longitudinal strut or the longitudinal struts can advantageously be in be arranged in the evacuable space of the mattress body. As a result, they would not appear to the outside world don't kick or need your own disguise or cover to avoid any bumping of the operating personnel to prevent struts.
- the longitudinal strut can also be advantageous in the Space or the fold of cloth between the longitudinal wedge and the rod insertable rod be formed.
- the longitudinal strut with the rest of the mattress releasably connected so that the stiffening is removed if necessary can be.
- a detachable connection especially a zipper or / and a Velcro fastener, between the mattress body and an end face of the longitudinal wedge is provided around the rod support.
- the longitudinal wedges 20a, 20b not or only from one slightly compressible material made, so that too already the longitudinal wedges 20a, 20b via the connection with the Mattress body 15 shrinking the mattress 10 in Longitudinal direction in the event of the mattress body being evacuated 15 counteract.
- Rods 40a, 40b advantageously at their ends, as shown in FIG Figure 5 is indicated by the reference numeral 40c, flattened or with a plastic attachment that enlarged one End cross-section, provided so that the rods do not push through the Velcro or the zipper.
- the mattress 10 would usually be in the longitudinal direction L shrink. Because of the embodiment shown in the provided longitudinal wedges 20a, 20b, which over the linear Welded connection at the wedge tips 25a, 25b on the React mattress 10, and / or over in the spaces 30a, 30b between the longitudinal wedges 20a, 20b and the Mattress body 15 pinched rods 40a, 40b that extend via the respective end closures 35a to 35d Support spaces 30a, 30b and simultaneously over them reacting to the mattress will cause the mattress to shrink 10 largely prevented in the longitudinal direction L.
- the mattress 10 As a result, its length remains largely dimensionally stable.
- rods 40a, 40b carry the same effect like the longitudinal wedges to stiffen the mattress at, so that the mattress bends due to its own weight of the patient no longer or almost no longer occurs.
- These flat material strips 45a, 45b are basically made of any material made as long as the required Stability is guaranteed, preferably again made of GRP, Glass fibers or carbon fibers or made of fiber-reinforced plastic, and each have a width of 60 mm, for example and a thickness of 4 mm.
- These flat strips 45a, 45b in turn contribute to stiffening the mattress especially when it is modeled, i.e. when the outside of the mattress is vertical or at least upright to a certain extent are at.
- the flat material band 45a, 45b ensures folded into the horizontal sufficient Flexibility and flexibility of the mattress and in the vertical worked a sufficient after modeling Rigidity of the mattress.
- longitudinal struts in the form of, for example, rods 40a, 40b or flat material strips 45a, 45b are provided as stiffeners are the longitudinal wedges 20a, 20b also from a compressible Fabric, for example soft, foamed material be made.
- Figure 9 shows two cross-sectional representations of another Embodiment of the invention in which two longitudinal struts 45a, 45b within the evacuable space of the mattress body 15 are arranged.
- the vacuum mattress 10 shown here is designed without a wedge.
- the as flat material tapes 45a, 45b, each with a preferred width of 60 mm and a height of 4 mm and preferably made of one Longitudinal struts made of plastic or PVC are like this arranged that one hand each on the two longitudinal edges of the mattress body 15 and also on the other hand parallel or almost parallel to the top of the Mattress run.
- FIG. 9 shows the same mattress 10 as in the above illustration only in the evacuated and "modeled” condition.
- Modeled means here in particular, that the outer sections as shown folded upwards into the vertical and thus to the body of the Patients 60 are created.
- the mattress 10 is evacuated, so that it is very fits the body shape of the patient lying on it 60 adapts and stiffens at the same time. Additional in particular Flexural rigidity is given in the lower one in FIG Partial mattress shown by the folded up Side areas with those running in these partial areas Flat belts 45a, 45b.
- the longitudinal grooves can be by seam or weld lines or be formed by embossing lines. It is also possible that Top and bottom of the cover layers forming the vacuum mattress to connect through any techniques. On in this way arise between the longitudinal edge regions 15a, 15b and the central region 15c of the mattress body 15 joints 16a and 16b, which cause the longitudinal edge regions 15a, 15b with longitudinal struts possibly installed therein, the in the case shown are flat material strips 45a, 45b, but can also be rods (40a, 40b), can be folded upwards, when the vacuum mattress has taken a patient to to support it laterally.
- the individual areas 15a, 15b, 15c of the mattress body 15 can vacuum with each other connected, e.g. via a connection opening 18, which penetrates the respective hinge. Alternatively, the individual areas 15a, 15b, 15c can be evacuated separately. For this purpose, one or more vacuum connections 15d are provided.
